I'm from Bellingham, have been living in Thailand for 10 years and started spearfishing here about a year ago. I'm loving it. Some days don't even take a shot, just enjoy the scenery. I really like your approach, and love seeing what's under the surface back in my home area. If you ever happen to be in Phuket, Thailand, let me know. I can show you some of my favorite spots :) By the way, I totally know what you mean about finding buddies with flexible schedules, it's not always easy. I got lucky and met my neighbor across the street who makes his own schedule and we went out yesterday. Love your videos, thank you for the effort to share with us.
Cheers dude! Happy to showcase our backyard to others. Especially ones who no longer live here or our fellow landlocked Canadians. I appreciate that offer! I'd love to do some traveling, it's getting harder and more expensive with the young ones though haha. Phuket looks amazing though, that's awesome. Enjoy man and I appreciate the comment!
This is your best video I have seen. Just awesome! Ive been wanting to dive and spearfish for almost 10 years, I finally bought all the equipment last week. Took some of your gear recommendations from your other equipment video, THANKS! J
Wow this was really cool to watch, like a doco ! Loved it. Awesome footage, I would have blown away as well. Cheers for sharing it with us! Loved the cooking too. Dive safe, have fun! 🐟🤿🍻
Such a #RESPECTFUL AND #INSPIRATIONAL person i love your videos and can watch them over and over again. I wish i could have made it to the #AQUARIUM with my famjam next time for sure #DREAM #DIVING #BRITISHCOLUMBIA
Cheers dude! I find that crazy considering the millions of TH-camrs out there. Makes me happy to know my content is appreciated. Thanks for the comment! ✌️
This was an awesome video, they just keep getting better and better! A side note, would you be able to please make a video on how to dive by yourself safe(ish)ly?
Yeah, would be interesting, because while it is understandably very dangerous to go yourself there are multiple world class freedivers like Daniel Mann who go alone. You should interview pro-buddy divers and people who go alone to hear both perspectives. Anyways, your videos are one of the main reasons I’ve started diving, so keep them up, maybe we will meet one day!
In the winter time, pretty consistently. You can find some real nice visibility in the summer though but not as frequently. Makes the good days that much better tho!
Yeah the visibility was amazing! I was diving with the Beauchat Prestige 7mm open cell. Check out DivingSports or east 2 west freediving. They are both local and carry tons of freediving/Snorkeling specific equipment.
Wow amazing views, I really want to get out now. Would you say there is a good budget 7mm opencell wetsuit? Like under $300. Also is there a way to time good vis? Don't want to make the 3hr drive out there then have bad vis. Thx bro vibes r great.
Cheers dude. Hmm, $300 would be a tight budget. If you're keen on the Facebook marketplace you might luck out and find a decent used one for around $300. Neoprene prices have skyrocketed so suits seem to start around $500 or so for a low end one. Plus you'd still need a weight belt, led, fins, mask, gloves, socks, etc. visibility is extremely hard to predict but it's usually better in the winter when the algae dies in the cold water. Tomorrow for example, I'm driving 2 hours to take a 1.55 hour ferry to go dive and there is a strong chance the visibility will be crap. It's a gamble but we cross our fingers and hope for the best but mentally prepare for the worst haha. It's always a fun time regardless!

Thanks man! And to be honest, I thought about doing that already. I love talking about touchy subjects. I'm in!

Absolutely stunning Chris. The 360 view was cool. Thank you for the dive. Wish I had that skill.
Cheers! Diving is pretty easy. You can even see a lot just Snorkeling. It's pretty amazing!
Wicked video, I was captivated.
Thanks dude! It was one of my quickest to edit to. I'm getting the flow down pretty good now haha.
Beautiful when that happens. Almost like you're a conduit for the video to shine through and you're just letting it happen.
Agree one of your best, its so great with good visibility...
Yeah man, I love good vis. Can't beat it!
That sauce looked tasty!
Yeah man it was really good! Easy to make as well. Minus all the prep work haha.
@@PNWSamson It’s always like that when you have to clean your harvest instead of unpackaging it, lol…
love your videos
Thanks! Happy to know that. ✌️
Beauty video man do I need to move back to bc
Thanks! BC is hard to beat that's for sure.
Great vid! How often do you get water that clean up there?
In the winter time, pretty consistently. You can find some real nice visibility in the summer though but not as frequently. Makes the good days that much better tho!
Wow, awesome vis! Hey Chris, how thick is your wetsuit?
Yeah the visibility was amazing! I was diving with the Beauchat Prestige 7mm open cell. Check out DivingSports or east 2 west freediving. They are both local and carry tons of freediving/Snorkeling specific equipment.
Thanks! Not sure why I'm just seeing this. But it's a 7mm open cell two piece. Beauchat makes the one I had on In the video. Great suits!

do you dive without an oxygen tank?
Correct!
I love otters. Happiest creatures alive. But corner one and meet a vicious rat weasel.
Yea they are gnar! Especially sea otters. Look up what they do, it's pretty sickening. Super cute but also primitive and gnar.
PNW classic?
Haha maybe. The herring footage without a doubt. That day was epic.
