The real scam is that you didn’t run off with the $7,000.
TheGhettoSnobSeries i mean they seen her ID at multiple occasions they probably know where she lives
They had her friend.... also knew who she, had her address and phone number.
Exactly what I was thinking
Wow a girl who only thinks about money shocker
i think thats a fake money
She gets 620$ for doing nothing, I just saved 9 minutes of your time
your welcome
Thanks in out
cheers mate
I should read the comments before I watch videos
thanks, imma dip now
No
The real scam was getting people to watch this video
Mackenenzie HAHAHAHAHAHA
Mackenenzie Cliche
Lol
Yep lol
Lmao hahaha true
The clickbait is real
For people who are confused, what she did was accidentally help a ticket scalper. Ticket scalping is when someone buys large amounts of tickets for the purpose to resell them, usually at a higher price. Ticket scalpers buy tickets in bulk, which can be anywhere between 10-200 tickets at once, sometimes more. The purpose is to artifically restrict the supply of the good (tickets) and making the venue be "sold out" to drive up the price of the tickets and also how much consumers would be willing to spend on one.
The reason this is bad, and also regulated in a lot of places, is because (most obviously) it rips off consumers, making them pay 1.5x, 2x, 3x, 10x more for something that should have been much less. This also hurts the original vendor because they are being exploited. On top of this it can give a lot of bad publicity for the venue/artist/etc because people might think they are overcharging or are too pricey, and, in the future, be less willing to support them. Also if not all the tickets are sold due to the higher prices, a show that was supposedly sold out will have lots of empty seats, possibly giving bad publicity and taking away from the host.
Why did they need her to buy the tickets then?
@@john4398 So that if anyone went back and investigated, they would only be able to identify her and it just makes it harder to catch them
You deserve the amount of views this video has, as likes to this comment. Thank you for making this worth while.
Thanks for explaining
Thx for exposing it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I thought she was going to say that she worked for that company that sells knives.
*Update:* The replies in this thread are starting to get redundant. It was a joke, and I don’t care if you or someone you know currently works there 🤷🏾♀️
Vetco? yeah me too 🤣😭
Mia B Vector ! 🤣
Marsherria B you worked for them before?
Mia B they used to send me letters but I knew it was a scam
my sister worked there--it actually was a very real job
So she worked as a mule for a ticket resellers. The people in the van were known resellers that had been banned from ticket presale opportunities. The people in suites were business owners and/or business leaders. They were buying tickets for use as promotional items. She got presale tickets for the mules. Not illegal, not a scam.
the only comment that makes sense here
thx i was wondering what the 'scam' was
can confirm. Worked with one before I was making sure people don't run off with the $$. (Aus)
Fare enough
Mule doesn't sound like a good job title
I’m literally binge watching “This is That Story” lol 😆😆
Ruchi Gupta same!
Ssme....
Ruchi Gupta me to
same
Me too!
So she worked for scalpers?
She didn't work for a scam then. If they were using her ID to get the tickets she was the one being scammed.
I'm less convinced on that as she was being paid for it and even admits herself that she was more than aware that they were doing *something* with her ID in exchange for that money. She might not have been clear on what that something was but she knew that was the trade for the money she was getting. It's not like she was really deceived as to the nature of the exchange she was just simply too blinded by greed to enquire as to exactly what purpose she was selling her ID for.
If she was scammed then they were a scam......
Nory-Chan Right. She was being scammed...they were scamming her...they were a scam...she was working for a scam....
Mule.
NimsChannel , guess this one makes perfect sense
that story did not head where i thought it was heading
Kyotosomo the next justin y
How to you finish watching these videos (almost all videos under trending) in just one hour
Kyotosomo ur the same person that talked about the Michael Jackson right
I sexually identify as an attack helicopter maybe
Kyotosomo *
She was recruited by scalpers to purchase a bunch of sporting event tickets in bulk for them. She made a total of $620. There. Now you don't have to sit through this video.
TEXTUALactivity lmao not all hero’s wear capes 😂😂
620 is not as much as she leads on in the beginning
Lol Buzzfeed should pin this
I needed this.
Still confused why this is a scam though. People do stuff like this in retail all the time for example when fidget spinners were popular.
Isnt she is the fake airplane ticket to avoid an exam lady?
Mutesm yes
0:08 *Hello again*
Mutesm yes
Yeah, and she has another story that is like the 1st episode
And the insane way i saved my friends in another country
Why not at least try to make this video sort of educational? Explain to us what ticket scalpers are, why their activity is restricted, and why it is a scam. This whole "I'm super ignorant, and this is my story" thing is just lazy.
Most likely this story comes from someone who has no idea what ticket scalpers are (maybe still has no idea now).
Yeah, and hence all the negative comments about it being a waste of time. Stories that could be reduced to "I'm super ignorant, this happened to me, and I learned nothing" are off-putting.
What are ticket scalpers?
literally learned more from your post in >30s than the 9 minutes of vague and confusing story. Thanks for clearing this up for me haha
My God, the people commenting on this are like dogs...They need to have a treat shoved in their mouth every 30 seconds or they're not happy...You do realize how this Internet video system works, right? You click on a video, and if you like it you continue watching...If you don't like it, you stop watching...If you don't like it but watch the entire video anyway, you really should be commenting on your own lack of common sense, not on how the video somehow "wasted" your time...
So she basically worked for a ticket scalper. That’s it. I saved you nine mins.
nah it was money laundering
Brown Boi they used all the ID’s to enter ticket lotteries to get free concert or game tickets.
yeah we should like this and make it the top comment and let everyone save 9mins. basically this vid is a scam for our views :P
I wish I would’ve seen this comment earlier
Thx
"I accidentally worked for a scam" the company name is Buzzfeed.
IM NOT LEAVING THE VIDEO JUST STOP WITH THE WARNINGS
Ironically the warnings made me leave the video
"What's the worst that can happen? I don't get $20?"

Whoever wrote the script for this video needs to be fired
Sydney P you need to be fried from being able to be mean
Um...
TheIronSqurriel why fried
Why?
If this was true i would have grabbed the 7000$ amd ran
I am not sure if this was a made up story or not but I can't figure out who the people in suits were and why it's a scam? Who did she scam? The ticket booth person was suspecious of what? I really don't get the story!
I assume the people that got the ticket from her made copies of the tickets and sell them off.
i think the people in the van were probably scalpers and the men in suits legitimate resellers? idk if that's how any of it works though
Ninja died of ligma
yes
Afrikaanse kindsoldaat ligma pickle
I love the way she says “let’s do this” 😭
every time she said “let’s to this!” i lost it
I just got scammed...by this video.
You could have ran off with 7000$ 😂
Reverse scam!!
GetThatBase she gave them her id... twice...
Lol that's funny
GetThatBase Not if they Have Your ID Lmao
They could have taken a picture of her ID
Hazel Fiesta I mean, what proof do they even have she has their $7000? Unless they video record it, but there’s also no contract whatsoever. Then again, they might just straight murder her for it
this is the same girl that faked a plane ticket to her teacher too
This is probably the best buzzfeed video I've ever watched.
The only scam is this click bait title
Ty Don buzzfeed did well
Oh, so you worked for Buzzfeed. 😂😂😂
when i saw the video im liked buzzfeed scamed u then i saw buzzfeed video
Exactly
That's the only reason I clicked on this vid
Oh you got scammed into watching the video
I scrolled down just to look for this comment.
“Let’s do this” 🤣 whenever is says that hahahaha
brigid was balling in freshman year of college
I didn't go alone though... I brought a friend to be killed with me.
Rev Nashi 😂😂🤣🤣
Rev Nashi 😂
Why is this not animated
story booth?
Faatimah Bhamjee21 yeah that was what I was thinking
Coz animation is time consuming and expensive, but having someone just sit and talk to the camera then adding in some stock photos here and there is cheap af and can be bumped out in an afternoon. That'd be my guess.
bc she lost her wallet
Bryn Jackson you would be correct.
Buzzfeed is quantity over quality
Nobody:
Not a single soul:
Bridgid: “LETS DO THIS”
Hey BuzzFeed,
Just a heads up, but I think you misspelled BuzzFeed in the title.
Regards, RIP
lmao
ha!
Watching this because TH-cam will not stop recommending it to me
Hightop I recommend that you think how hard the people at buzzfeed work
TheIronSqurriel YESSSS
same
Same here.
same
Girl...you stretched a 2 minute story into 9.... addressed the audience too much
Lol I would have taken a cab with that $7k and changed my address 🤣 What could they do, call the police because they got scammed trying to scam me? 🤷♀️
I love how she said "a ton" of money and only made like 620
Don't you still work for a scam now?
sadly, yes
V R PAAAHAHAHAH
V R truu
V R oop
Well duh, she works for BuzzFeedYourselfYouHobo.
"I used to work for a scam" ..... And you still do!
Kaleb Von Mëter how
Kaleb Von Mëter Wow watch it there u might cut someone with all that edginess
"Accidently"*
“Let’s do it” was my favorite part of this video
"Let's do this!" LMaoo im dying
The people in the van were definitely ticket re-sellers on Stubhub or something who's IDs were banned from buying tickets at that stadium
Ah!
But how did she manage to buy tickets not available to the general public by just walking up to a regular ticket window?
imallfordabulls she didn't, she entered a ticket lottery that's more reserved for resellers when she gave her ID, her and hundred or gullible college students. Except she won (as the odds go), and they went to buy the tickets for the mates in the van who then resold the ticket for profit
Brian Sexton why did she have to fit a profile to buy tickets? I’ve never known you have to look a certain way to have certain tickets
was likely a lottery for only students and alum
It was tanacon. The end
Kyla Salazar BAHAHAHA
saaaaay....
"Oh ya im getting payed for this!" 😂
I love this series on buzzfeed! I’ve been binge watching it for hours😂
Fun!!!!!
I feel like when they asked " who sent you" I think they were asking for the guy who told you to pick up the tickets at the front lol
This adds a hilarious new spin to the story I hadn't even considered.
i think thats what they were asking but she was too scared to think about that
Girl take out that “accidentally” in the title
She is the same person in the insane way i saved my friends in another country
I feel like someone owes me $500 for stealing that time from me.
This could have been told in 2mins
I'm thinking about a good username . . . i know she took forever to tell this story omg
It takes me this long to tell a story
yeah omg, I wouldn't have minded so much if any of the jokes were actually funny
"I accidentally worked for a scam" don't you mean what your working for right now *cough cough
Sophie Fisher cliche
Stolen comment.. Not funny
Hertz I didn't steal it when I posted this comment there wasn't a comment like it so...
@@Stargirl_2003 Okay sorry. 👍
Sophie Fisher you did steal it
When you accidentally take 2 peppermints when they say take 1
This video was very well done... Great story editing.
Just the BuzzFeed interview process
Probably
I'm surprised no one has murdered this channel
For real, I am half way through the video and not even a smile. It would have been a funny, but it is presented in the least funny way.
I would like it but the number of likes is "666"
Because TH-cam promotes it to much
Lmao
I mean its thankfully not as popular as it once was.
What I took away from this video: in a stadium somewhere their's a WALL DOOR!!!
I get hyped up for every LET'S DO THIS! haha
Sounds like you’re scamming us for views lol
For real.
xD
...why didnt you take the 7000 and run ?
fren is w her lol
Lol yeah xD
Also, they had her ID with her name, picture, birthdate and address....
They def had someone watching her to chase after her if she ran with the money
Her friend could have been murdered or something. Plus they know where she lives.
She is such a good story-teller! Love it!
Sounds like a lottery for rights to buy pre-sale tix.
Enter th3 lottery, under a hundred id’s. Hope for a few chances to buy tix before going on sale to the public
Aah, . I read the comments about her helping ticket scalpers, but I didn't know about the lottery system.
You Worked For a Scam? I was *Scammed in Roblox*
Annie Nguyen wow that’s awesome
Omg same
Lmaoo I stop scams lol!
Coincidence? I don't think so.
Lolol
This story could have been told in less than 2 minutes
ryanhatesgirls lol
Also it's not a great sign when the storyteller repeatedly has to tell you "don't stop watching, the story gets better!"
But ad revenue
Brigid, come on! You cant jus- LETS DO THIS. I died
She presented this story very well, good job on keeping it entertaining!
Brigid died shortly after filming this video...
"And it just got worse from there"
Justin Y. YOU! AGAIN!!!!
why are you here?
You're everywhere
Justin Y. Why does everyone hate you
Are you god😂😂
"Forgets where i left my wallet" *STORY TIME, I GOT ROBBED*
6:12 i thought she would keep saying "except for me" lol
I immediately thought you sold those crazy energy drinks lol
Harshil Patel I feel like I see ur comments everywhere lol 😂
How is selling energy drinks a crazy scam.
Wealthbuilderz TV there’s a lot of energy drink themed multilevel marketing businesses. You make money by getting other people to sell energy drinks
Veema? Lol i remember people trying to persuade me into buying a case for 300. Told them I'd buy a xbox with that money. Guaranteed return on my investment
Jreich yeah of course but it’s not a scam Scams don’t have a actual product attached to it.
Lol. She didn't happen to lose her wallet. One of her "friends" stole it.
thought that immediately
That's exactly what I was thinking.
Yup lol
That's why you don't carry that much cash in your wallet. She wasn't smart enough not to go through with this whole thing though, so it makes sense she would have put all of her money in the same place.
thelastcashew frickin' *
This girl is great at telling stories 😂😂
idk why everyone's hating on this, her storytelling was really nice and clear. not all stories have to end in some sort of moral or takeaway. i hope brigid does some more buzzfeed stories
Your story was a 9 minute scam of my time.
Yes FBI, shes right over there
oh man, I worked for so many scammers- us working class are the most vulnerable
this woman is in like three story time videos. i think she's cursed
Isn’t she the one who cheated on her college test???
Victoria Heffly yeah
Victoria Heffly how didnt?
Victoria Heffly yeah I thought the same and I think they got her to read stories from other people!!!
Cuz these stories r fake
Awesome Blocks how do you know?
we love a sister scam
Okkaido Plays 😂
You spelled *S H I S H T E R* wrong
That reminds me of our teacher told us not to click on phony emails that sounded too good to be true and at that minute she said that I just clicked on an offer saying you get $500 for free if you put in your school address XD
She is the same girl that SCAMMED a teacher with an airplane ticket.
If you get a student discount you can get tickets for really cheap at most places so then they turn around and sell the tickets to other people for more than you paid for them but less than standard prices.
kyle calvert true I haven't tried it
I usually buy movie tickets but I never tried selling
everything, it explains the reasoning behind the whole story which she did not explain
I go to UNC Chapel Hill, a basketball school! We get free tickets to football games and free entry for the basketball ticket lottery but the only way you can redeem them at the stadium is by showing your student ID with the name and photo that match with the ticket. And for basketball they scan our student IDs. It wouldn't be possible at our school!
You have to ask for student discount though. TBH if she did, all she'd have to do is pocket the extra cash from the discount.
GUYS WANNA HERE A COMPLETELY TRUE STORY WITHOUT NAMES, PLACES, OR SPECIFICS???
where u at yes
Came here for a story on multilevel marketing, got nada. Has she never heard of ticket scalpers?
Source : just trust me, bro.
“Sorry you wouldn’t know her; she goes to a different school”
where u at no
here's a better title
"The super amazing weird awesome story about how i accidentally got super scammed??? (NOT CLICKBAIT) (GONE SEXUAL)"
Skintel N.Keychain Cops Called
Sis knew what she was doin' too.
You were worried over small time ticket resellers. Each ticket they probably netted somewhere between 2k to 5k depending on the events. Less if they were middlemen. Nothing illegal at all, just that they were black listed.
Not only that, you are probably black listed now too, or someone with your exact name who is a high profile CEO or event handler at some corporation.
😬 wow! But I’m in college and need money... so... doesn’t sound too bad 😂
Cody Whitlock huhfuhg
Lmao ikr
Lmao I was thinking the same thing 😭
Are u Jack Whitlock's brother or something?
If you’re up for identify theft go right ahead. I hope she keeps checking her credit report
Hello AGAIN!
SHE'S THE ONE WHO INSANLY CHEATED ON EXAM!
I love the way you tell your story! Have you made other videos?? I
Why are her sentences never finished? Like is it a montage error or a joke i’m not getting??
Brit it’s cut in the middle of a sentence😂
This the girl who cheated on that test?
Brigid had a very exciting college life 😂
Lol true
Her personality is so adorable. love her!
“Accidentally”
So pretty much you exchanged $7,000 for $500. 🤦🏻♂️
UniquelyMade It was more then likely that the $7000 was fake money and she was buying a bulk of tickets for scalpers.
haha losing your wallet after ALL THAT 😂sounds like something that would happen to me lmao
So for those of you that don't know what happened, hundreds of people go to a bar and give up their ID. The scammers then take those hundreds of names and address and enter them into a pre-sale lottery for games for the upcoming season. After the lottery is held, she is the only one out of the hundreds, that won the lottery. She can now buy tickets before everyone else. But she doesn't know this, because the scammers put their contact info down, but her name. The scammers then contact her and set up the buy.
I still can't figure all the men in suits in the shady conference room. If this was a lottery, then their should have been an assortment of people. There is also a possibility that the money that they were using, was counterfeit. Also, usually lotteries let you buy a limited amount of tickets to select events. Not $7,000 worth of anything you want
