Just realised why my textures looked shit, there is a free DLC which allows you to use HD textures, lol a DLC.
That's odd, I haven't downloaded that DLC and my textures look much better than what's represented in the video. All my graphical settings are on Ultra except for the textures because you need the DLC for the Ultra textures in addition to needing 6GB of video ram (which I don't understand because even on ultra the textures don't look like they should need 6GB of video ram.)
If it were Ea you would have payed 20 dollars for the dlc.
Bf3&4 both did this & it hurts gameplay online lol dlc make the game HD smfh

Skyrim had amazing combat? I mean I loved the world and the openness, but come on Mack! Most of the combat was glitchy and stealth was almost broken!
I'm probably one of the few people who actually disliked Skyrim, ESPECIALLY the combat. That was by far the weakest part of the entire game aside from the lackluster story and quests.
Not to mention that without mods I would never even consider touching that game.
Seraphyx I agree, the combat in Skyrim was terrible. I mean you get this epic warhammer from the Daedric princes of whatever and then you have to hit a dude like 30 times with it to kill them? It's like really? And the enemies generally don't bother to even stagger a bit if you hit them once, I'd like the game more if it had combat like Chivalry or something. With mods Skyrim is great but that's because you have to fix Skyrim yourself to like it.
And spell combat was boring as fuck!
Alex Maia It really was, and that's because they had to make it so you can't make your own spells anymore because then the "oh so epic" shouts would be worthless. It's just pathetic really, I think.

How they could have made it any more boring I'm honestly not sure...
The only parts of combat that weren't horrible were the executions and physics on death (getting blown across the map by ice shard). That's the only time any attack felt like it had any weight to it.

*Spoilers* One huge complaint from me is that this game had an amazing lead up to the end battle by building an army and facing off against saurons army and to have it end with the final fight being a QTE and a cut scene!!!! Am I the only one that was offended by this?! :/
The game was made by Monolith and published by WB. Developers and publishers are different people. Devs make the game while publishers feck it up by doing stupid shyte like the copyright flagging. You cant blame Monolith for the shyte that WB is pulling, PR these days is irrevocably fkd with big companies able to pull off this bolox with impunity. But anyway, great video Mack!

What settings are you playing on? just wondering because the graphics seem much better than this.
Rumours are that you need 6GB of Video RAM to run Ultra settings and the game doesn't support SLI or Crossfire meaning he would need to have a Titan (which at this point is ridiculously expensive and is beat by the 970) which has 6GB VRAM or a Titan Z which is 12GB VRAM.

I have this on the PS4 and after watching you play through on your recording; there is a pretty clear graphical improvement on the PC version.

So, you managed to post this bit of gameplay without any copyright problem? Could it be that us, the poor common people, are finally authorized to post some gameplay on youtube without receiving the wrath of the big publisher?
I've been playing the shit out of this game on the X1 lately, and I was kind of surprised with the issues you said you had with it. I haven't ran into enemies respawning nearby like you mentioned, and the small, quick interruptions stop appearing after the first couple of missions (they're pretty necessary for you to get a hang of the mechanics of the game in the first place anyway). Aside from the opening cutscenes, the rest of them aren't terribly long or anything. I guess the captain/warchief intros can get old, but it's not much of an impedance really. Obviously just my opinion, but yeah. Good review overall though man.

Bought it at Friday, it's an amazing game. Finally we get that lotr game we always wanted, I actually like the story alot and the combat is awesome & not to easy.
Graphic is beautiful, voiceacting flawless, they even throw in a bit of humor.
Nemesis system is something I've never seen before & I love it.
Buy it friends, trust me great game.

In Skyrim i played as a mage and ALL I DID in my combat to win was to hold both mouse buttons to spam double fire spell....so what you on about???
Oh sorry I forgot, when fighting dragons I would switch to double lightning and I would, occasionally, use the healing spell.

Every single game with a PR department does branding. Branding basically asks them to mention certain things and not be too critical. PLAYTHOUGHS are no big deal. It only becomes conflict of interest when it deals with REVIEWS.

Hell yeah it's worth it to buy. I bought the season pass for 8 bucks on steam and it's been a blast ever since
The biggest stress I found with this game was the Killing the Warchiefs. I hate games where they have long mini bits and bobs that you need to do in order to unlock the next mission. So to unlock this mission I need to kill 3 warchiefs but to do that I need to first find and interrogate the Captain and then kill the bodyguards who I will also need to find weaknesses for. Bullshit, I want to just kill the cunt so I can play the bloody game! That's my problem with games like Assassin's Creed, and on some missions of GTA V, they make you enjoy the game far less that when you play the actual difficult missions.

The game for me started off good but I liked it less the more I played it. I also think it takes waaaaay to long to get the dominate ability. As for the nemesis system, it's cool in theory but ehhhhh, also there is a limited amount of named enemies you can fight, so eventually the game will respawn enemies you...decapitated.
I got the dominate ability in 6 hours
the nemesis part of the game, is worth a buy on it's own, i basically skipped the main game and just messed around with that part for hours before really playing the campaign

WOrd ? I've just been playing a lot of the side missions and collecting artifacts. I know there is 20 missions I am on my 7th but i thought it was all in that one area. That's good to hear because that is my one major flaw with the game. It just gets to samey after you unlock all the elven towers and have done most of the side content in that area. The rain looks great i'll give them that along with what mack said with the effects look amazing.

It's interesting that you can quickly tell what's made for both 360 and Xbone and what's just Xbone. Games are going to start looking a lot better once they stop releasing games that support the old consoles.

Really what's your problem with the first twenty minutes of the game? They were introducing the characters and the story background, and personally i felt for talion and got emotionally involved, didn't bother me that much that the cut scenes were more than the gameplay. This is actually better than spawning you in middle of tons of enemies without knowing what are you doing or what are you killing them for. I agree with you about the combat being so simple and designed for controllers though.
G2A.com sells these types of games for DIRT cheap, like Shadow of Mordor is just barely minimum wage. YOU CAN WORK FOR AN HOUR AND GET THIS GAME, and same with Watch_Dogs, it's typically under $5. THAT'S JUST SOME FRAPPE AT STARBUCKS. basically, just go check out g2a.com, it's 100% worth it, and I've saved hundreds.

Its one of the best ports I have ever played. This and Max Payne 3 are the best pc "ports" to be seen in memory. Its a fantastic game.

I don't know what was happening with your game in this footage Mack, but it was some vram texture loading issue or something. I don't use ultra textures, because they didn't even try to bother implementing them properly, and my game looks gorgeous. There are muddy textures in many areas. Ground textures can be iffy and tucked in corners you can spot some meh looking shit - but overall it is a really sexy looking game and your footage looks worse than ps4 somehow.

I got this game for $5 USD. I played the shit out of it when I was all drugged up from a surgery and recovering. I hated the idea of this game but I think the drugs made me love it.

So basicly its a good game made by good developers but Published by a SHIT company. I will look into it once its out on a Steam sale.... if i HAVE to give WB money.. they will get as little as possible. I am sorry for the developers but since our wallet is still the only thong we have to make a stand, we dont have much more options.
