  • Here at Common S.W.A.G Bowfishing, we made the switch to PowerMax Converters last year and we haven't looked back! We installed the 24 volt converter on our 20 ft tournament and guide boat and it works great. We can power our 24 volt Minnkota Riptide all night at 100% power and never have to worry about coming off the water when the fishing heats up! Get yours today! You'll be glad you did!

    I have 3 powermax converters. But I use them to run 3200 watt cb base station, with 10pill box and a Stryker radio. I was thinking of using one of them for my trolling batteries since I have an extra one. They aren't 24 volt so I could use it on 1 battery I suppose.

    What’s the difference in using this vs the Minn Kota on board charger like the 345 unit which puts 15a in 3 batteries? Why use this over what I have now is what I’m asking?

    As long as your troller is a 24 volt that unit will do the trick. Before you order, give Errin a call. His information is at the end of the video. Tell him what model trolling motor you have and he will get you the right unit for your needs. Also, be sure to tell Errin we sent you. If you have anymore questions let me know. Good luck this season!

    When you are hooking this up for the 24v system, when you put the positive converter cable to the positive terminal, is this the same positive terminal that your positive wire from the trolling motor is hooked up to? Meaning that your connector for the series would be on the negative post of where you just hooked the positive terminal for the converter? And then the negative cable from the inverter would be on the same post as the negative cable from your trolling motor?

    You know GBS makes some 100ah lithium batteries that would let you use full 100 Amp hour out of them. You would lower your weight by 3 x and have twice the range with a steady 13.5 volts X 2 for the trolling motors. Only $600 for each battery so az 1200 dollars for two and you'll get 100amp hour @ 27volts and it will stay strong till the end. have to make sure not to go below 22volts and they charge up faster too cause it takes the full charging power and nothing is wasted. Lighter boat, More stable power, last 5 x as long,charges quicker! More speed for the trolling motor also. Win , win ,win in my book.

    Do you know if it's ok to leave these converters connected to the batteries when not in use? The resting voltage on my batteries seems too high even when the converter is not plugged in.

      Yes, as long as its a 24 volt trolling motor you'll be good.

    I’m running the same generator as you, how do you have yours mounted to reduce the vibration it puts out?

      Justin Woodard I don’t have that gene anymore. There was a lot of vibration from that gene but it wasn’t to bad. I switched out to the Northern Tool Power Horse 3500 inverter gene and its MUCH better. I built a tray for it to set in and there’s very little vibration compared to the old harbor freight gene.

    How many watts will that unit pull

    • @gooseguide66
      @gooseguide66  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 24 Volt pulls around 1250 watts.

      Jerad Brown it depends on amp output. they have 30,40, and 50 amp 24v converters. however they run in 3 stages so the "rated watts" is actually a max draw number. if you run the converter all night it will usually stay in the lower levels of amp draw. go to "powermax website" for complete list of draw numbers.

    My powermax has a chassis ground lug on the back also. Did you hook it up?

    • @gooseguide66
      @gooseguide66  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lonnie Hamil the unit I was using in the video didn’t have that option. If the newer ones have a ground I’d definitely hook it up.
