lol. I was there! Sometime during her performance, she announced that we were being filmed for a movie. Fast forward a year or so, and there she was in the movie FM. SO glad I got to see this. Waddy totally killed it. Great guitarist.

When this movie came out, I was still in college(Utah State), I went to see this movie with a friend, right after she finished Love Me Tender, I turned to my friend and said let's leave. I don't think the rest of the movie can top that.

FYI: Kenny Edwards, the bass guitar player was one of the founding members of her first band, the Stone Ponies, after they broke up in 1968, he formed is own band, but in 1974 Linda asked him to join her touring band & he spent the next 5 years being her longtime collaborator & bass guitar player. He passed away on August 18,2010.

Excellent Waddy Wachtel footage. And of course, Ronstadt personality dominates the stage. Thanks for the video.

I believe Linda's performance here is from her Nov. 17, 1977 show at The Summit in Houston, Texas. The band included Waddy Wachtel on lead guitar and backing vocals, the late Kenny Edwards on bass and backing vocals, Dan Dugmore on guitar and pedal steel, the late Don Grolnick on keyboards and Rick Marotta on drums. When she toured a year later for her "Living In the USA" album the only change was Russ Kunkel on drums and David Sanborn on saxophones.

This concert footage was one of the better parts of the movie.
The movie was alright but getting to see Linda, Jimmy Buffet, Tom Petty and REO Speedwagon was cool.

I went and saw this movie only bei case Linda was in it. As I remember, it was a lame movie but most of the audience was there for Linda or maybe Buffett who was also big at that time.
