Yep it is an all time favorite of mine! Hard to believe it took a very long time to get released. She didnt like how she sounded. Karla did a nice version too, but not as great as this.

Saw Karla Bonoff live, in the ‘70’s(?), on piano, perform , she wrote this song, her rendition is priceless, live! Also appreciate Wendy Waldman, and the groundbreaking Laura Nyro, all early superb writers, and performers in a very creative time for US music. Not just Linda! Going on 80yrs, I miss them all!

If it's any consolation, she has made it to her 74th birthday (It's today!), and even though, the "prizes" were never the main thing for her, I think the last several years has given her an opportunity to reflect on her career and soak up the admiration and affection of her worldwide fans. Heard her say her job was "to make us cry." She excelled at that for more than four decades. Her voice has fallen but not her star.

i cannot believe she opted to leave this shining gem off the album. the first time i heard it back in '99 when i bought her box set, i fell in love with it instantly. some wonderful photographs you included in this video. thank you! linda's simply the best.
This song is so much better than several songs that made her albums. I read somewhere that she thought she sounded drear, like an old school marm.
Wow, I have many CD’s but this! What a gem, just like all of her songs, I could listen to em all the time! Now I will be searching for this Box Set !!!
