His live performances are narrative. Took me awhile to realize it. He weaves a story with every word he speaks. He is without contest the greatest metal singer of all time.
He is one of the best, but he, along with all sabbath members, are appropriately rated and widely recognized as the forefathers of metal. Not underrated in any sense of the word.
I was at this show. Sounded just as good in person. Crushing. I can only imagine if they made more music together, how great it would've been. RIP Ronnie.
Sabbath became my favorite band when Dio joined and they made Heaven and Hell. Then I worked back through the older stuff. Long may the memory of Dio remain. And long live Tony Iommi.
Finally someone who says the truth. Metal is supposed to sound slow, brooding and have a sense of despair. The extreme speeds for which is it later known for, come from punk.

kick ass song i got sabath the dio years the actual song is awesome and when they do the shadow of the wind and the devil cried live its just awesome. i think shadow of the wind is the best out of the 3 new songs

@@mobrules29 first sorry about my english.. i think this part he explain the depression, like if everything was easy to understand if has names red or green. He talk about depression too when he talks "black and white and in between" between black and white we have gray, that way a person with depression see all the things. ( sorry for everything, is only my vision about the song, i have depression too). Sorry and Thanks

My eldest brother came to my place, I put on a Black Sabbath DVD. Later his wife came along to join him and after a while she requested me to stop it. I asked her politely if she didn't like the music. To our amusement she replied she was frightened! I had a mighty laugh.
This is the greatest song that Dio/Iommi ever created! It's amazing! Tony Iommi is a super-talented genius and he still had it after 50 years. He creates such an incredible heavy feeling. And Dio does an incredible job! He creates a great mood with his voice that totally fits Iommi's playing. And Appice and Butler always laid down a very heavy backdrop and rhythm. These guys were fantastic. I saw them twice in 2008 and it was incredible. Iommi played EXTREMELY loud and Appice's drum solo was incredible. I loved it. I prefer Ozzy over Dio but Dio/Iommi made some great records, too. The song "Heaven and Hell" is also a one of their greatest songs they made. I prefer this over Iommi's "Fused" and "DEP Sessions" w/Glenn Hughes. I don't think Hughes fit well with Iommi...Iommi could have chosen a better singer, imo. I always wanted to hear Iommi with Klaus Meine of The Scorpions who had excellent pitch and tone. This music gives me so much pleasure...
His live performances are narrative. Took me awhile to realize it.
He weaves a story with every word he speaks.
He is without contest the greatest metal singer of all time.
Agreed. He had always come across as somewhat of a thespian on stage.
Best describtion 🤘👏
Geezer is way to underrated as a bassist. The guy is in a class of his own.
He is one of the best, but he, along with all sabbath members, are appropriately rated and widely recognized as the forefathers of metal. Not underrated in any sense of the word.
Correct
¿underrated? what a way to repeat a word without knowing its meaning. Geezer is one of the more prestigious bassists in heavy metal history
One of the Greatest Heavy Metal songs ever written ! period !!! R.I.P Ronnie
The man, the myth, the living legend! Geezer Butler! Thought I was going to say Toni didn't you!

I truly get chills thinking about what could've been if Dio had kicked Cancer's ass and went on to make a follow up to The Devil You Know...
Absolutely pure BLACK SABBATH!!!
🤘🤘🤘
B. Absolutely the Wonderful Ronnie🔥
Pure awesomeness. This will always be the Heaven & Hell *Band* to me though, they deserve their own legacy outside of Black Sabbaths shadow.
Sabbath became my favorite band when Dio joined and they made Heaven and Hell. Then I worked back through the older stuff. Long may the memory of Dio remain. And long live Tony Iommi.
This is perfection, God bless Ronnie Tony Vinnie and Geezer, RIP Ronnie I will always love you and your uplifting and inspiring music fucking awesome

Absolute masterpiece of hard rock/metal! It doesn't get better than this..
Epic...Doom...Power…. God Bless old school of Metal .
I said it before, heavy metal isn't always about growling and speed!! It didn't start out that way anyway!! 🤘
Finally someone who says the truth. Metal is supposed to sound slow, brooding and have a sense of despair. The extreme speeds for which is it later known for, come from punk.
Dio and black Sabbath have plenty of fast songs too.

What an awesome band.
Dio's Body is gone but his spirit is in his music and always will be. So in truth Dio isnt dead just his body doesnt work any more.
This is called a legacy !

This song was published under the name of BLACK SABBATH, in the "Dio Years" album, so I think your interpretation is not right at all.
This is really a good read. I believe that you might be right. Even the Ozzy lyrics reference matches up. Good job.
I mean it also works well for a reference to a heroin addict.
I'd take Ronnie's explanation because he wrote it. Addiction. Simple
We love you Ronnie!!!
Essa formação tbm é muito boa, Dio canta muito e como sempre os riffs do Iommy se destacam, massa demais.
