I agree. It's definitely a song the whole world should know. I wish we didn't have to wonder what would've been next for Heaven and Hell if we hadn't lost Ronnie. I love the 70's Ozzy era, but I would have taken a new Heaven & Hell album over "13" any day. "13" recycles an awful lot of things from the past. Heaven & Hell never had to do that. They still had upward momentum.
What's really fucked up is, between "Live eviL" and "Dehuanizer", Iommi/Sabbath went through the Tony Martin phase. Martin was brought in because he sounded similar to Dio. "Headless Cross" even had the same bass hook as "H&H". Yet on the Dehumanizer tour, they went right back to "Live eviL", as in performing Iron "Man/Paranoid/War Pigs" with Dio...If Ronnie was gonna sing anything he didn't originally do in the studio, it should have been "Headless Cross", "The Shining" and "Valhalla". Dio on "Valhalla" would have been THE SHIT!
Agreed. But it had a lot going against it. First, the album cover art sunk it. . By 1992 Maiden had inspired a cliched "metal" art work that was totally stupid. Everyone was coming up with badly drawn metal terminator mascots. Even Riot. Ever metal cover looked like a stupid poorly drawn cartoon copy of Eddie. If you look at the smoking, poker playing angels on Dio's first record with Sabbath or even Mob Rules it looks like Michaelangelo compared to Dehuminizer. Like something a grown up mite listen to. Sophisticated and deep compared to the Dehuminizer art. The heavy rock art by Hipgnosis for UFO and Zeppelin and others thru the 70s wuda helped get this heavy record, and "I" some of the respect it deserved.
The creepiest riff in the history of EVERYTHING! This is a song that explains Heavy Metal Period. If you don't get this, you get nothing... Ronnie absolutely is I in every sense. There is no doubt that he is the center of the universe in his world and NO ONE may challenge him. This is METAL...
Been a Sabbath fan since 1979 but moved on after Mob Rules. Found this gem of a song 11 years ago and was absolutely FLOORED!!! Godammit, this is the fukking hardest riff in Tony's arsenal. Makes me wanna just break shit relentlessly!!!!!! Back in the day, I idolized Randy Rhoads, EVH, and Jake E Lee. Now in my older years I must say... Tony Iommi is absolutely the. GREATEST GUITARIST IN HARD ROCK / METAL HISTORY!!!! Nobody his age can bring it as hard as ever. Not Jimmy Page, not anyone from the 80's - they all lost some thunder ... except Iommi!!!
Seriously one of the best metal bands ever. Every single band member was a total beast at what they did. From Dio's monster vocals to Tony's monster riffs and perfect tone, they were the best.
How can this band not be rock and roll my favorite line I'll smash your face in but with a smile that's what they do with their instruments and The Man Behind The Voice rest in peace Ronnie James Dio awesome tune🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘👏👏👏👏👏👏
Saw Dehumanizer Tour at The Nautical Stage at the flats in Cleveland. Dio's stage presence was so huge! I met the whole band backstage as part of a radio station promotion. They were very cool, especially Dio. All the rumors of him being down to earth and friendly with fans were absolutely true. Geezer was funny, Vinnie was laid back and Tony was talking to some beautiful blonde woman so I let him be. Great memories. RIP Dio.
@@tomitstube Dio didn't have anyone offstage harmonizing with his voice on the chorus, what a stupid argument from people who don't understand basic principles of vocal physiology to understand the singer's vocal structure, Dio was a master of muscle compression and resistance, due to his immense range of the chest voice and chest mix he developed properly over the years and especially his fantastic breathing support, he could hit those extremely high notes with ease even at 67 years old, that's his pure voice, just isolate his vocals and you'll have the answer.
Queda claro quienes son los Jefes??? Empezando por el inmortal Tony Iommi y la leyenda y mejor voz en la historia del Heavy Metal...... Ronnie James Dio!!
I don't think, that you can compare the Ozzy-Era of Sabbath with the DIO-Era, for these are two different decades and of course Ronnie brought a much much heavier sound to the band. I love Ronnie. For me, he is the greatest singer of all time and I surely miss him. But still...you can't compare Ozzy to Ronnie...two different styles of Music. I love the prince of darkness too though.
Two completely different bands Ozzy era Doom/Stoner metal DIO era pure heavy metal. Ozzy was much better as a solo artist that is where he really shined. The DIO era is my favorite but much respect for their early stuff
I have always wondered who done this video, it really rock the roof off the place . I have found so many of my bands from back in the day, I can,t forget them. thank you Dio,Vinny, Tony, and Geezer, I love you guys.

Most look to the Ozzy era as the best of Black Sabbath but for me Dio's input was just as significant. Dio injected so much new life and power into the music that I was stunned when I first heard 'Children Of The Sea'. I remeber I was in the field (29 Palms) sitting on an old beat up M60A1 tank on July 20th 1980. And when I saw Sabbath's Mob Rules show...I realized just how much Dio had added to the band. In fact with Ozzy, Dio, Ian Gillan or Tony Martin at the mic Sabbath remains Sabbath!
Got this album in the 1989 .During my Army days. Now 2019 and I'm in my 50. Doing abit better in LIFE.. Brought my own house..relaxing in my sofa looking up at the night sky and thinking of DIO.... .Still listening to his rock SONG. I'm alive it's alive ....forever... DIO I am he THE MAN on the silver mountain
Great song and Heaven & Hell are awesome together. Even though I will always hate Vinny Appice's head band he plays the hell out of those drums. I know Black Sabbath are finally retiring. It would be cool if Heaven & Hell would do one more tour maybe with Tony Martin singing for the late RJD. Or Tim Owens. I like that there is a Dio Tribute group that continues to carry Ronnie's torch since he passed on. but it would be cool if Heaven & Hell would do a tribute tour, especially considering Ozzy would never be caught dead singing any of Ronnie's songs. Just a thought.
@77transam1, so well-put. His snare fills are perfect & powerful on this song. Actually, throughout rock history (whether metal or any other sub-genre), the bands and songs that had stood the test of time are not those which feature "chops monsters."
Thanks for soooo many yrs. of extreme Eargasim, with all band members kicking ass sooo fast and accurate on time with each other-can’t be touched by today’s Mamby Pamby, commercialised corporate elelvator crap!!
I met Vinnie in Charlotte . One of the kindest and most gracious human beings I have ever met . Outside of Amos . Thanks for taking the time to talk and take pictures !
the loss of dip will forever be one of the greatest tragedies of heavy metal.him and Randy Rhoads. rip.I love that Ozzy and dio did a duet of war pigs together tho.
Easily the best Black Sabbath lineup and Dehumanizer one of the best albums in Metal history. Saw them in 1991 or 2 in Albany on the tour. Small venue. It was amazing.

This is their most underrated song of all. Love this tune.
This is my wake-up song in my phone! I truly hate working where I am currently stationed; however, this song helps me make it through the day!!
RJD & the rest of the band rocked their asses off!! Truly a masterpiece!!!

True. Thought it was a great comeback album
Thankfully, not by fans of Sabbath...
Coolest Riff in the history of Metal.
Every time I come here I want to like this comment. Because its true.
Everytime I hear this riff it makes me bang my head until I have a pain running down my neck LMAO
"I'll smash your FACE IN".....
Toni and Geezer calmy standing onstage while thunder and lighting pour from their guitars!
Calmly
Insane🤘
This may be the best Sabbath/Dio track ever! After a 1,000* listens, it never disappoints.

I cried when he died🤘

Ronnie .. a true Legend, along with Tony the heaviest musical duet.. Thanks for the memories. RIP
Pure Black Sabbath, no matter the name the band have

This Fucking Riff is Sick, Iommy rules
Brilliant riff won’t get better
Bro, Tony Iommis guitar is just so heavy, so baddass. The epitome of metal...
Love Iommi's SG..Grungy..even the screws on the pick-ups are rusted..lol..But tone...This is what a real guitar sounds like.
If that guitar tell us some histories, what would them be? Regards..
What would be rock n roll history without these guys from Birmingham?Legends
The very best of metal. All time forever. ROCK ON!
One of my favorites.Such a awesome song!
2:52... Dio, at 67, could still make amazing fifth octave screams.
yes dio is a god, but he had the benefit of someone off stage harmonizing with his chorus on this.
DIO IS THE MEATAL GOAT GOD

dio is the metal prototype, from rainbow, to black sabbath, to dio, he is the best. period.
Tony's SG alway's gives me the shivers. it's all rusty, tainted like an anchient artifact.

Ozzy cant sing dios songs!! He dont have the range or know how.
Chris Stokes tony martin sucked the worst of tony ideals for 20 yrs he had to go back to the savior to resurrect sabbath!
Tony iommi is god
