    There are torque spec's for both the (4) wheel hub bolts and the (1) spidle/hub bolt (the 30mm socket). Make sure you tighten properly.

      32mm 12pt socket for the axle nut (217ft-lbs)
      21mm for the lugs (76 ft-lbs)
      17mm for the caliper bolts (100 ft-lbs)
      17mm for the hub bolts

    you can stick a screwdriver in one of the two holes of the rotor and it will pop right out. Dont drop the rotor :)

    Did you have a problem with the ABS, Traction Control, and AWD system after the job was done? I had these light up after doing the same thing.

      @landedinlukla  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      check the abs sensor. Even though it sits behind the wheel hub, when you pull out the hub it is possible to damage it. I almost broke mine. It was bent. I carefully straightened it out and put it back in.

      If your sensor looks good (you can see it in the video with the hub removed) and isnt bent or torn, it could be the hub. Inside the hub is a magnet and the sensor picks up this magnet as it revolves. anyway, check your sensor. I think...there is one in the front and one in the back, both on the driver's side

    hello, i am upgrading the brakes on my 2008is250awd, i bought the gs350 awd front caliper, so can the 2008 gs350awd brake discs be installed? I know that the wheel hub of gs and is is the same.

    • @landedinlukla
      @landedinlukla  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If wheel hub is same size, possible that the caliper will also fit, but cannot be fully certain. You have to check somewhere. Diameter, width and even bolt hole placement on the caller can be different. No guarantees

      @@landedinlukla The wheel hub and caliper screw locations are the same.

    Where did you get your wheel bearing?

      @landedinlukla  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I bought the whole wheel hub. MOOG. Cost about 150 per wheel hub. RockAuto, I think

      @@phyinc4506 i just replaced my hubs. First time since I have owned the car. That, along with new tires and new rotors has made the car drive like new. Feels great.

    Was your car shaking / vibrating when coming to a stop? Im trying to figure out whats wrong with mine. Its not the breaking system i replaced the rotor and breaks a few months ago.. I was thinking maybe an alignment or shockes. My tires are wearing king of funny

    • @landedinlukla
      @landedinlukla  ปีที่แล้ว

      Uneven tire wear on my car - I was getting a bit of the shake when braking. Changed rotors twice, thinking it was them and not my 18 month old tires. Turned out the tires needed to be changed. Changed tires and aligned the car- problem gone.

    Where did you get that tool that pulled it off

      Rented. Any auto parts store will have one. Just ask for a slide hammer.

    Did this guy properly torque the four bolts and the axle nut to the right spec? I don't think so.
