Thats so cool. I'd want to drive it everyday also. Drove my 67 Fastback pretty much everyday for nearly 3 decades. It went from a slightly built 289, to a stroker 302(342)to a Keith Craft Eleanor aluminum 427 motor, a close ratio T-10 , a 5-speed Tremec, a built 8 inch to a Curry 9.
Oh, the best, I got rid of the annoying shock Towers and went to a rods and Customs front end with rack and pinion.

We already have a fender to replace it! We don’t like it either. Just need to paint match and patina it!

Awesome start to the build. A 56 is on my list to build someday, my Dad had a bunch including a big block tilt front end gasser. Looking forward to watching the rest of the build progress thanks for recording! Also, I noticed the signs are you guys in Sonoma County?

where are you guys located ? I have a 55 in similar shape I'd like to do something like this. I may use a T56 from a LT1 camaro. Keep at it.

Absolutely love what you've done to that 56 so far! I liked the down and dirty look before the frontend work and springs but I like it better with its nose in the air. I have a 55 sedan that is in better shape than yours built on a budget. Big Block with dual carb tunnel ram, fenderwell headers and a 75 Chevy truck rearend.
