Finally, someone who actually cares about good sounding audio! Great channel, Jake and nice truck! As the saying goes, no highs, no lows, must be Bose 🤣
Just installed in my 2024 Denali. Very happy with the purchase and only took 2 hours to install. Could have done quicker, but just took my time. If you do it yourself or have it installed, I highly recommend getting a role of tesa tape (match factory) to tape up the main wire bundle where you tap into the speaker wire. I doubt the dealer does, and at best they might use the basic electrical tape. Service book only calls for 45 min to 1 hour, so they are not going to take any extra steps for quality install.
I have a 3500 Silverado with the Bose and I agree about the quality I have a 14 speaker Harmon Cardin in my 7 series bmw and I love it especially the various audio selections like concert hall etc, to bad GM has been using Bose since way back in the 80’s
I have the 2500 hd Denali ultimate and feel the same way about that sound quality. It’s so muffled! I feel the biggest issue is the way it’s tuned. Needs a DSP first and that’s what GM is probably doing with the software file.
As a 2019 ram man myself I definitely agree with you on the sound systems ratings. Sadly for me that is a ding for gmc. I'll also might wait for the 25 ram or try the platinum Ford f350. I feel the ultimate sound system should be standard and ultimate should step the game up with sub and few more speakers to be on par with the rest.
Unfortunately, that's the design flaw of the Bose stereo system. The system doesn't give you the sound separation of traditional stereo speakers because there is no tweeter/woofer separation. The system is basically made up of full range speakers in your doors and not separate woofers and tweeters.
I was disappointed in my gmc denali I had to add the subwoofer to make it sound better. My ram 2500 came with a woofer and so did my 2001 infinity.....why a denali isn't equipped with a subwoofer is beyond me.
@@t.l.robinson2162 I have a 2018 ram 3500 dually HO Laramie air ride w/ 233k miles. No major repairs. The OEM radio with a subwoofer is still better than the GMC "ultimate" radio with that ultimate price tag.

I listen to a lot of Jazz and it is fantastic. Throw in some AIC and it is not. I get wanting to upgrade.

What are you taking about. There are tweeters on the dash.

What software upgrade? Every other install doesnt mention anything about the software.

Talk faster, and write it down so that you don't have to say "uh" or "umm". Its painful to listen too.
You are not forced to listen.

Not much of an "ultimate" lol except the price you paid 😔
I have this truck in black. You are either a hater or are jealous.
