This is such calm and systematic playing, it's so beautiful to watch. 4:50 was headshot of the year! Knowing how clumsy I am, I probably would have accidentally used Leaping Thrust at 5:57 instead of waiting for Guard Dash to reset to enter Counter. And thank goodness for Quick Sheathe 2 at 9:42, I was genuinely scared at that moment. I also love how his arm swipes straight up miss you at a couple points during the hunt, always make me chuckle 🤭 You know you've been resetting so much when the roars don't even blur your screen anymore. Or maybe that's just my PC glitching out, lol.
I actually started off this run pretty irritated since the previous run I lost was basically the same pace as this one, which is why it took me a bit to skip the intro. I was sort of done, lol. I feel like I've made a lot of improvement in this fight over the last few days though, so I'll be looking to get it under 12 minutes next. Hopefully I can get a cool headshot in that one too.
@@alex_3572 It's why at times I target a different monster rather than one for several weeks/months on end. Sucks when you're on pace and then either bad RNG hits or a necessary button input drops and that is a wrap.
Who says that?? The Lance can sprint its way to safety instantly during instakill breath attacks, block the cone breath and protect whoever is behind you during it, constantly stay on Fatalis and its weak points, how is it bad?
Thanks! I don't remember the song names off the top of my head, but they're from Scarlet Nexus. Edit: I just realized that this isn't the video I'm thinking of. My other Fatalis run uses Scarlet Nexus music. This one has no music!
@@bennyvasquez6872 You would probably be better off looking it up. The short answer is that you have to get a weapon fully upgraded, then use certain materials to augment it.
What happens with that attack is that there are two hitboxes that you block. First the fireball explodes, then Fatalis flies and creates wind pressure. If you're close enough to him, the high knockback from the fireball gets canceled by the lower knockback from the wind pressure.
@@xxNightxTrainxx That's correct, yeah. If you're too far away from him then the wind pressure doesn't touch you. And I think if you're too close then the wind pressure ends up hitting you from behind, which is no good, but it's pretty easy to not be that close.

This is so impressive! Inspirational
Thanks for showing how to dodge his pin at 10:50 I like ur video
Really cool run. Having both peak and resentment feels weird but it seemed to work really well
🛡️🔥👍 amazing run!
And ppl said Lance is bad for this fight.
All I see is a hunter slaying a dragon heroically and easily
Defense is offense.

@@Grey-The-Skeleton ppl with skill issues, as evidenced by this video.

Amazing run I'm curious to what the music is? it's on top of my head and its driving me insane help me ;~;

Who else checked their discord after 7:40?
how is your the health regening on every hit? it that from a weapon, armor set, or what?
That comes from the Health Regen augment on the weapon.
@@alex_3572 how do you unlock that?

Can anyone tell me how he avoid the knockback enough to do a clutch claw counter at 1:35? whenever i try this i just got guard chained

@@alex_3572 so it's about distance, i gotta make sure i'm close to him to get knocked back by the wind, then i can clutch counter?

@@alex_3572 thank you so much for the explanation! this will help so much!
Impressive, amazing skill.
Thanks! I have a faster run now, as well, in case you want to check that. Has some minor differences. th-cam.com/video/2xtdI1p-rJk/w-d-xo.html
