Viper Tobi is not as bad as regular MR Tobi imo. If you didn't know, Tobi Kadachi actually has a 3rd state in MR. He can reach this after charging himself, he basically charges even more after it. It gives him a sick Mohawk and nearly Zinogre levels of lightning
@@azzygl Hmm, no, the monster's health get's dropped to about 40 to 30% of their originial health you're fighting monsters that are less than 50% of what they would be alone (if world uses the same scale as older games that is which seems to be the case by looking at the pace you were slaying them)

None of them have their hp reduced as much as you say they are and if you think im lying the download to the quest is right there for you to check yourself. If it was indeed less than 50% of the usual hp values of their regular quest counterparts I would be done with this quest in less than 20 min

This hunt looks very fun, love getting to do multiple monster hunts with the hp values. I'd have used Raging Brachy CB for nerg though to pop the spikes more frequently. Also for lunastra if you used the SAED on the wings when down you will get nutty dmg. Great run as a CB main with almost 10k uses under my belt i say you did well, happy hunting brutha keep up the solid work.
lore accurate hunter. You see the way you feel completely lost the first few times you go against the alatreon and you dont know what you are suposed to do ? That ice alatreon felt exactly that and got a taste of it's own medicine.

seeing other people play makes me realize that the bow is very unpopular for 2 reasons: -hard to grind for shit(specifically mighty bow) -either you are a good at bow or you don't use bow you are one shot by literally everything so you can really spec into dps with like 0 consideration for comfort aside from the physique and refresh jewels but a result of this is that you deal a lot of damage like alatreons commandment makes you deal 710+ damage per power shot when you have the damage modifiers popped like coalescence and peak performance but with the caveat of being one shot by shit like a random tail swipe by raging brachy of slight nudge or rajang slightly breathing on you or every single fatalis attack which makes it a very niche weapon, anyway this whole thing was unrelated to the vid but good stuff i might wanna try that challenge actually.
Safi has a mechanic where it receives less damage to all attacks unless the part is broken. Safi's backlegs are the easiest part to break. Additionally, hitting Safi's left backleg will force it to move right when it's not enraged which is basically the entirety of phase 1, this lets us get the phase 1 skip by dropping him to the side and dunking him into the ground then dropping rocks on him as he gets out
Yeah I generally don't try to guard things playing savage axe, there's also downtime from recoil and whatnot plus not having any guard on my builds but I'm not exactly a great cb player to brgin with lmao
I was wondering why he chose the Kjarr Crusher over Lightbreak and, from what I can tell, he needed the higher blast rating because everytime blast would procc, it would move Safi closer to the ground trap... though that's just me speculating. Either Way you have to respect the amount of time/practice it takes to learn all the details
Yeah pretty much, the thresholds of Safi in this quest are lower so getting a single blast proc on the hindleg is a flinch, not to mention that raw is pretty garbage in phase 1. This is an older run though and I've since switched to element with Kjarr ice for phase 1 due to being more consistent.

No not really. For starters I dont actively play any of those weapons so I'm not familiar with any openings and punishes using them. Also, any weapon in the right hands can make good time (I am also not an active CB user lol). Like my pb on this quest is 32'58 with gunlance

Safi specifically immediately lets you mount finisher as you mount him, unless he enrages in between in which case he will roar then mount finisher.
