    I can relate. Off 32 months. After 30+ plus years. Nearly 71 now. We must never lose hope that this is our bodies healing and trying to find balance. We keep going through the storm knowing that we will get through this and get to the other side. What a journey!, Thank you.❤😊

    I went through klonopin withdrawal in 2013 at 23 in Woodland Hills. I had just moved there with my boyfriend at the time from Ohio. We lived in an apartment with walls and blinds just like the ones in your video. I sat in that bathtub in scalding hot water for hours to escape the feeling. LA was so bright in August. It lasted all winter, kindling on and off Latuda, benzos, antidepressants. I was just called crazy. It was the anti-anxiety meds, and the ensuing meds, causing everything. It took me years to put together the pieces. It takes time, but healing is possible.
    My biggest issue now is living with this whole experience, knowing what I know now.

    Hey Matt, thanks for this update. I can totally relate to everything you say.
    I "only" took an SSRI and after 25 months I still have severe symptoms.

    16 months off Kolonipin for the first two months of I thought I was fine. Then all hell broke loose. 30 yrs on and was told to taper 4 weeks. Symptoms now are worse with extreme itching on my scalp and my entire face and body. Just having the air hit my skin or clothes rubbing against me is so extream. In no way can I stop itching, can’t take a shower or get dressed is torture. Thank you Matt we all need you friend. Your giving us hope and validation. ♥️

    At some point you will no longer be counting the months since your taper ended or you cold turkeyed .... it will all be in the past... and seem like a bad nightmare. I had the exact same thing with the too bright and too loud and electric bolts and terror and a dozen other symptoms.... They ALL very slowly faded away. The ONLY thing I would suggest is eating foods to restore your GUT... raw organic sauerkraut...kombucha, kefir (etc). YES..it is ALL from the meds.

    I admire your determination despite how hard things are. Do you experience derealization or depersonalization? I've been experiencing it a lot since getting off benzos a couple months ago. It's a huge anxiety trigger. I experienced it here and there prior to this but it's like I've lost the ability to rationalize because my anxiety is so much worse in withdrawal.

    • @Heymattmarin
      @Heymattmarin  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I’m so sorry you’re going through this too. Yes, I do experience those often. I forgot to include them in the video. It feels like I’m not real and the world around me isn’t real either. Almost like a bad dream or a video game. It’s bizarre and hard to describe. What’s helped me is to remind myself that the feeling will pass when I’m in it, and that I am indeed real even if it doesn’t feel like it. If I’m with the people closest to me in my life, I also ask if I can touch their arms while we are having a conversation. Sounds weird, but it helps to at least try to partially ground myself in physical reassurance that they are there with me. I hope things improve for you very soon and am here if you ever want to talk.

      Our body can not survive without Magnesium, this is one way to gently bring it into your body. You can make or buy Magnesium Chloride flakes and massage into skin so it bypasses the digestive system. Half a mug of flakes, half hot filtered water, stir, cool....that's called Magnesium Oil. Patch test, If it itches skin, dilute down until skin is okay with it. Don't use on broken or inflamed skin.Start slow, rub in a little to the tummy, back of legs, inside arms. Do 1/day, then twice/day or more...just build up very slowly. Evening time is great to help sleep. Use Mag Chloride flakes or the cheaper Epsom salt in foot baths to let a little Magnesium in through your skin....build up tolerance. Much love to you all, what amazing people you are!@@bigsteppa2200

    Hey bud, I would suggest looking at Agmatine Sulfate! Its a non-addictive workout supplement thats being studied for benzo and opiate withdrawal ! Look into it, It works by reducing excess glutamate in the brain which gives rise to the sensitivity, anxiety, tremors and depression caused by the trimming of GABA receptors
    Another thing that could help is Kavakava and CBD when you begin to feel the anxiety starting , taking some kava kava capsules with a few drops of cbd in oil could cut that sensation back before it seriously takes hold
    Lastly , a probiotic such as the one by neuralli can help with the digestion issues and even depression, there are important receptors in the gut that are likely associated with your situation 👍🏽
    Hope any one of these can help you friend ❤️
