Hello sir Can u please help me to pick one beteeen Himalayan 450 and continental gt 650 1) which is more reliable I don’t want to face any sort of issues with engine I heard tappet sound in Himalayan is pain in the ass (riding position is not an issue I had Hyosung gt650r in the past and I have faced horrible experience with reliablility ) 2) let’s consider if I keep one among them for long term over the time will the performance drop .? 3) which one is good for long rides (occasionally) with pillon in a stretch of 600-700kms 4) what would you suggest I have went for a test drive but I’m not able to decide your decision is going to be the final call please help me to pick the best (himmy- continental gt650) not a fan of interceptor
If ur planning for long rides then gt650 is not the bike that too with pillion the seats are most uncomfortable ones ....royal Enfield has a wide service network don't worry on the reliability thing !! Go for Himalayan suited for all kind of roads ....and upgrade to touring seat u can do all day long 600 kms touring easily!!
I got the 790s electronic cruise control to work on my 390 ADV. Can't imagine that to happen with an RE. Its a costly proposition however still an option. Lets the bike become future proof and not regret waiting for the next version.
@@Thewandererwe Nope. Those are not Cruise control. Those are throttle locks. The problem with CC feature is not many have experienced it either here or abroad. Only 1000cc+ bikes had it. So they consider cheap throttle locks as an alternative. Those are not linked to brakes and very dangerous in situations when a dog or a cow pops out of no where in high speeds. Electronic cruise controls are linked to brakes and work seamlessly with multiple sensors on board. Hopefully more people will realise this. Thanks to TVS for introducing it on 310s.
@@virajvrooms thanks for sharing this bro, didn't know about much about it ...you are right even I don't promote that throttle lock thing jus to use it once in a while touring and invite unwanted risk....btw how much did you spend to get 790 ECCs into your 390
Would recommend go with Himalayan 450 due it's liquid cooled engine to beat the traffic heating issue in city and taller suspension to cater all roads and no roads requirements of the Indian roads condition!
4:28 No offence Xpulse has slim and longer fuel tank design with longer side panel this has smaller side panel and wider taller bigger fuel tank, I personally went for Test drive with Xpulse side by side. Both are different
@@Thewandererwe Are you talking about 450 only? The new Himalayan has a slip and assist clutch, you can see it in your manual page 15. Although you don't really need to see the manual... any body who has ridden the bike can downshift and tell.
I am 182 cm tall, i travel a lot in Bangalore (approximately 60-80 km in a day) and weekly once i trip travel 300-400 km, i have classic 350 which is giving a lot of shoulder pain, so thinking of opting touring adv for both kind of commute purpose, i am confused between these two, Can you suggest an apt bike for me to chose?
As per your height and requirements both bikes solves your purpose... Himalayan will have some waiting period..you would need handle bar risers in both the bike to make it comfortable as per your shoulder height to keep it in relaxed position, take a test ride of both bikes and decide brother
@@Thewandererwe Thank you very much for your reply Bhai, I will consider your suggestion, once I finalize the bike after the test drive will let you know.
@@Thewandererwe yes ths vibrations are felt on my adv 390 but its all in the lower speeds once the engine revs past 6000 rpm it gets smoother. This could probably be because of the fuelx n powertronics which i added on my bike
This bike is 4L on road and does not have tubeless tires ??? Imagine you are ona highway and cruise-ing around 90km/hr and tire bursts... God help you all...

Totally agree...💯 Hopefully the price it well as per Indian market anything beyond 4.5lac would not be a great deal for single cylinder
Good review, good work
colur pricing is unfair, but this engine and suspension does demand expensive price tag
Agreed 💯
Very well explained, thanks 👍
KTM fit n finish is superb
Correct 💯 but ultimately it's more of plastics
Hello sir
Can u please help me to pick one beteeen Himalayan 450 and continental gt 650
1) which is more reliable I don’t want to face any sort of issues with engine I heard tappet sound in Himalayan is pain in the ass (riding position is not an issue I had Hyosung gt650r in the past and I have faced horrible experience with reliablility )
2) let’s consider if I keep one among them for long term over the time will the performance drop .?
3) which one is good for long rides (occasionally) with pillon in a stretch of 600-700kms
4) what would you suggest I have went for a test drive but I’m not able to decide your decision is going to be the final call please help me to pick the best (himmy- continental gt650) not a fan of interceptor

Prospec has some cheap alternative for cruise control one consider that for RE bikes if at all rider thinks it's a practical upgrade

@virajvrooms from where you get the cruise control
Nicely explained everything with each points 👍👍
Glad you liked it
Wow, what a detailed video! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
We want to see drag race between these bikes.
Sure can do that!!
Which do you think would be better the interceptor or himalayan 450 for weekend rides and commuting in mild traffic?
Would recommend go with Himalayan 450 due it's liquid cooled engine to beat the traffic heating issue in city and taller suspension to cater all roads and no roads requirements of the Indian roads condition!
Himalayan sux in city. Lots of fun in twisties tho. Perfect for the imperfect ghat roads.

Absolutely different...only initial impressions of the headlight may give resemblance nothing else at all
22:11 Doesn't Himalayan 450 also have a slipper clutch? Also tbvh KTM wale bhaiya kaafi typical KTM rider hai, aivayi 140/120 ki baatein.
Himalayan doesn't have a slipper cluth ....,😃

exam me aaya toh likh sakte hai 😅 - kidding
Hehe ..all the best for the exam 😜
30 minutes worth it , thank you for the opinion on both the bikes ❤
Glad you enjoyed!bro
Interestingly my adv 390 works the opposite what you are saying, all the vibs are ironed out after a certain and there are hardly any vibs at 100- 120
Single cylinder high torquey engine is prone to some or the other vibration bro!!

Super!
Superb
Thanks 🤗
well explained bro
KTM fanboys, like this compare
Sir ji Reliable ktm Jaysa Nahi ho sakta hy. Ktm Adventure 790 ,890 sab ka height Zada hy . And sir ji Adv adjustable suspension r Outstanding

Hehe how come ??
Enquire about ktm 390 adv sales after 3 months ..you may know
This bike is 4L on road and does not have tubeless tires ???
Imagine you are ona highway and cruise-ing around 90km/hr and tire bursts...
God help you all...
Tubeless tyres will come as an accessories option!! At an additional cost
bhai KTM WINDSHIELD 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😄
Please don't compare with KTM.
