Sten became pretty cool in the late comics about Alistair, Isabella and Varric(the events took place before inquisition). They met Sten who became now an Arishok.
I likewise had a bad initial impression of Sera the first time I played the game in 2014. Also, a lot of the hardcore fans that have stuck around all this time are Solavellans, and it is very difficult to get along with Sera playing as a Dalish elf, especially if you're a mage. My daughter just played the games for the first time this past year, however, and she adored Sera. She was excited to tell me all about the friendship and romance scenes I had never seen, and how Sera grows as a character in her romance arc. I had no idea Sera's romance ended in a wedding, for example. She really opened my eyes as to how good a character Sera is.
Varric is my favorite character in all the games. But he's not my favorite companion if that makes any sense lol. I love him as a character, I just don't care to have him be a part of my party when adventuring and fighting My favorite companion is probably Dorian. I love having him around, hearing the banter, talking to him, and he is what made me not hate playing a mage.
Yea he’s great as the narrator but doesn’t really bring alot as a companion for sure. I really think we will see Dorian in Veilguard he’s too good of a companion and familiar with the setting to not see more of.
I really like Vivienne. I think she is an interesting character because of her flaws. I really like the depth companions have, like Wynn for instance, who is a typical old lady but the fact she is also a bad mom is so small but gives her new layers. Sera can choke always and forever tho :D jk, not my cup of tea, but she is also interesting just being an else so drastically different from the ones we met so far.
Varric and Solas were my fav, ended up romancing Solas. On my second playthrough I really liked Sera and Cassandra. Needed some time to get to know all the dragon age lore to fully appreciate them. And my 2nd romance was Sera. Great character overall, but I didn't get her at all on my 1st playthrough.🤔
You forgot about Elgar'nan the allfather and leader of the evanuris who was also released alongside Ghilan'nain. I think he will be the main villain in Veilguard. And that's why they only showed Ghilan'nain in the last gameplay trailer, she will not be as important as Elgarn'nan.
I totally did forget about him he will for sure be the main villain. I do still think Solas will be an enemy somehow though, and I wouldn’t think they would hide him behind another DLC but idk
Iron Bull is my favorite companion, even on Nightmare. If you give him a weapon and shield, shield wall (which the ai uses quite well), and fortifying blast he's quite survivable. He's also my favorite romance. He's great, best banter too 👍
Yea but giving him a sword and shield feels like I’m turning him into the Stone Cow instead lol, like it’s just not him and he still is a bit weaker than Cass and Blackwall. I really do love him though hope to see him in Veilguard in some capacity.
Just randomly stumbled upon your channel while replaying the trilogy in anticipation for Veilguard. You have some of the best quality build content I've seen so far, so I'll be stickin around for a while, waiting for your Veilguard stuff
My next two builds will be Tempest Archer and DW Assassin in the next couple days. I would probably go Assassin if you’re going to go DW but Tempest DW is great too just a little bit more boring imo.
Sera is the only character I have straight up refused when she wanted to join. Even now when I'm older she's just insufferable to me. The banter is alright tho but I skip through all of her cutscenes, everytime. I also think Vivienne is a bit more interesting than what you give her credit for but I can see the lack of appeal. I'm super stoked for Veilguard and hope the character work is as good as Inquisition's
I actually really like Loghain I just didn’t rank him because he’s a companion for like two seconds in the game. I keep him alive so he can sacrifice himself for Hawke and I in DAI, I think it’s a solid ending and redemption for his story.
HYPED FOR DAVRIN and TAASH... Tbh all of them. But them the most. All I think is everyone in C tier needs to be higher besides Bethany. The rest is pretty understandable tho. Good video🎉
Idk man youre very wrong about Vivienne. Look at the decisions she makes as Divine and you'll see that while she's culturally an aristocrat she believes in freedom and upward mobility as mages and wants to use the Circle as the structure to uplift mages. She even destructures the Templars and uses them as a personal military under her rule. If you hear her out she simply believes eliminating the Circle is chaotic and needs to be used as a building block. I dont fully agree with her but her beliefs still have merit
It is an armor you can purchase in the war table if you use the warrior reaver specialization. I think he used a mod here to make his rogue able to wear it.

Why is everyone (including all the companions) refer to Wynn like she is some grandma? Isn't she in her 50s? It’s not that old at all

Loghain is the best companion in all Dragon Age games
