so 3 skill is their own, unique (plus the hidden one) and then 2 is based on their class (tho you still can buil down the line differently, more or less as i see) im pretty disapointed that we have no returning characters (other than harding, i spent little to no time with her in dai) no varric, liliana, noone from previous games to be on your side :\ personalitywise not one got me intrigued based on this vid, but who knows, maybe there is more under the surface overall, its a maybe for me for how appealing the companions :S
Aside from varric who is an oddity it’s not typical to have returning characters in your party. Even anders was only from a dlc. It’s been 10 years in game not sure why you still want origins characters in the party
@@dean0730 to be fair im kinda butthurt like that yeah, what i wanted during this long 10 years is: the return of my warden, the return of my hawk, the return of my inquisition to face the final problem together.. since all these games were a build up so far for a great thing, i was expecting on a conclusion, not a reboot, i wanted all my "heroes" and some of their companions plus MY DECISIOUS (which supposed to be impactfull) to return and unfold! plus you forgot to mention liliana, cassandra, scout harding, alistar, flemeth, morgana and solas.. they all returned at some point even for a cameo, this one is a clean sheet

I actually prefer these companions over the other ones in previous games. Aside from Morrigan and Solas, DA always felt weaker than Mass Effect for companions. I’m looking forward to Bellara, Neve, and Lucanis the most, but I’m excited about Emmerich and Manfred, too.
I’ve seen so many people comment on how attractive Taash is but man… I cannot get over the fact that her face is so overtly masculine to the point where when I first saw her I assumed it was a guy It’s not helped by the megamind forehead they gave her, as I know now that the character creator allows you to reduce how obvious that is

You can definitely cut down the spoilers, bro. I know it's a risk of watching pre-release vids, but mentioning some of them was pretty unnecessary.
Im romancing Davrin 🤪
I dislike that you started the subject and then immediatly cut to an ad. Ads are intrusive enough, theres no reason to splice it in midsentence
Looks like this will be my first Dragon age game where I won't romance anyone😂
Video doesn’t start until 2 minutes in
forget romancing the companions. who's thatelven antivan crow with the mane ! Hello!
so 3 skill is their own, unique (plus the hidden one) and then 2 is based on their class (tho you still can buil down the line differently, more or less as i see)
im pretty disapointed that we have no returning characters (other than harding, i spent little to no time with her in dai) no varric, liliana, noone from previous games to be on your side :\
personalitywise not one got me intrigued based on this vid, but who knows, maybe there is more under the surface
overall, its a maybe for me for how appealing the companions :S
Harding hands down.
I like Neve and Harding but they're the only ones im attracted to. And since i usually make female characters its unlikely either of them is bi or gay. So i guess we'll just be BFFs.
they’re pansexual actually! harding was in inquisition too.
@@meepmoop1310 i wasn't expecting the whole team to be bisexual tho. But I guess they have to with some people play non-binary. Either way, I'm playing female human and going for Neve.
one that fits mine person easy lol
I wanna be excited for the game but the fornite art style is bugging the heck outta me
Neve 😩🤤
Not a single character I’ve seen in this game is blonde, I thought their whole woke bs was supposed to mean representation for everyone? Why none for me?
make a blonde character then. or play the old games. sorry your not used to not getting catered too, but you gotta be strong and cope. Hope this helps 👍
@@meepmoop1310 This is incredibly disingenuous, you flat out admit that diversity means a lack of white people. You’re not “including others” you’re REMOVING us.
Even the previous games were lacking in representation of people like me. I’m a gay blonde dude, how many of them exist in games? Hmm?
We got Cullen, he was blonde but straight… so…
If you’re going to push for inclusivity, don’t cherry pick it.
lucanis 5eva and taash!
Can’t wait to play but they absolutely dropped the ball with the Qunari designs
Anyone else feel like the companions just don’t draw you in like other games?
I actually prefer these companions over the other ones in previous games. Aside from Morrigan and Solas, DA always felt weaker than Mass Effect for companions. I’m looking forward to Bellara, Neve, and Lucanis the most, but I’m excited about Emmerich and Manfred, too.
Yeah, Harding is the only one I like.
You make so many mistakes in your videos. Who's "Davron"?
Wish there were some attractive characters.
Eh if there arent mods’ll probably add some reskins for the companions, given most humanoid npcs were built using the character creator
Such trash character looks in this game.
Wait companions don't have ultimates? WTF?
The least woke ones
A necromancer with no undead in battle.
Pathetic.
It depends on how the builds can be made, but many spells seem lazy to me.
I’ve seen so many people comment on how attractive Taash is but man… I cannot get over the fact that her face is so overtly masculine to the point where when I first saw her I assumed it was a guy
It’s not helped by the megamind forehead they gave her, as I know now that the character creator allows you to reduce how obvious that is
Qunari/kossith are warrior race, their females are pretty masculine too.
And i agree she doesnt look good. Harding, Neve are decent though.
@@swordofkhaine8464 I’m a Dragon Age vet, started back on Origins so I’m quite familiar with the Qunari lore and their egalitarian approach to gender, but I guess my concern is that you can make a woman powerful, muscular, dangerous, but still have them, you know, look like a woman?
Just feels off to me, there something about her face that says “this is a male face” to me
@@JabberwokeeI mean sure, but maybe this time around they just wanted a masculine women in terms of facial features? Which exist
Cassandra was pretty despite being masc and so was Aveline
@@Raydr62 both of those women looked like women, despite their more masculine traits
Taash’s face doesn’t say that to me - That’s all I’m saying
A bunch of people apparently think she’s hot so obviously there’s an audience for it but it just doesn’t look right to me
Taash is actually non-binary, i think (one of the devs was using they/them pronouns) which actually might also account for the more masculine/androgynous energy they have
No one, they are all woke
Not sure it matters to be honest. The companions seem to be far more inflexible about who's 'essential' for each map so what the player actually WANTS is nowhere near as relevant as it used to be 😔
Personally i don't like that the party members double up on skills. I don't know why everyone has to have a heal and a skill to support the MC.
Also why do companions do such little damage?
They don’t, they actually do rather a lot of damage when you command them to focus on a target, they make up for half your damage
@@Raydr62 not based on what I've seen. They attack infrequently and when they do it's like one or two hits and then they dance/dodge away or just stand there. And their basic attack is like 1/10th of Rook's. If skills are the only thing that do damage, and so many companions share the skills, then they aren't really that unique and effective imo
@@pedramcq Based off what I’ve seen, commanding them full on makes them do things. Saw a video of companion combos completely deleting something and a few being killed by the companions alone
@@Raydr62 ooo what's the video?
Woke slop !
I'll come back to this later. I was initially excited when I saw the title because I waiting for video like this. But it launches with an opinionated, negative, rude rant about browsers. Not in the mode to watch anymore.
