Scherzo À La Cirque - Friedrich Gattermann - Benjamin Wallfisch Strings Demo

For this demo I combined Benjamin Wallfisch Strings with Berlin Brass and Woodwinds from Orchestral Tools,
I had a lot of fun writing this little piece. I got inspired by the music of Stravinsky a lot - as you can probably tell.

A question my friend, when you produce with the Benjamin Wallf strings, do you do layering with more string libraries? or do you only use the Ot Ben?

It depends on the sound I want to achieve. But I often layer with Peteris Vasks strings.
But this demo is only BWS without any other string libraries

Great piece. Does it sound so good just because of the new strings, or did you use a mastering plugin like Ozone or similar?

The new strings are very great! I have never heard more realistic spiccatos. So crips and full of character. But I also used Ozone on top, just to get it a little louder. It’s not changing the EQ a lot :)

@@friedrichgattermann I don’t suppose there’s a chance you might post the Logic project or at least the MIDI file, is there? I just wish Orchestral Tools did what VSL does, post dozens of mockups in both Cubase project and MIDI on their website so people can learn the libraries better.

It’s all BW processed mics. I love the sound of his scores and I really like how this library sounds :)

This library is definitely not for everyone but I love the sound a lot. Works great for trailers :)
