I am a Liberian American and will absolutely say Liberia is a great place to start a business with less competition. I recently started a logistic business and a gas station and so far things are going great beyond my expectations. LIB all day!

Can I ask what is a Liberian American? If you are intrinsically Liberian. I don't see Liberians who founded Liberia as Americans. They have lived in contemporary Liberia for 200 years. They are intrinsically Liberian. They became a new people similar to black Americans in the United States. I am intrigued by Liberia. I had a Vai Muslim Liberian lady tell me I should visit Liberia since my people founded it. I'm not sure but I have been thinking of Liberia lately.

@@benchleyb ok cool after my trips to Costa Rica in 2 months and Kenya. South Africa and Liberia will be my travel destination in 2023. I read a lot of literature on the black Americans who founded Liberia. Intrigued to see the country. South Africa is my short list as a black American I always felt a connection to South Africans. We have a similar history. I know some black Americans doing very well in South Africa. I have another question why did the indigenous Liberians pass a law that prevents black Americans from being able to receive citizenship in Liberia. George Weah the current Liberian president said it was a racist policy. He made other xenophobic comments but I digress. I

@@charlesirby9571 I'm a Liberian American because I am a naturalized US citizen. Liberia does not have dual citizenship. It's not anything against Black Americans. The racist law that Liberia is known for is that only "Negros" can become citizens and own property. If that law is still correct I think we should hold on to it for a bit longer no matter who's pressuring Weah. Dual citizenship law should be changed though.

This has been said already and I'll add my humble opinion to the true voices of those who care. If Any African country leaders have love for their people and the millions of displace diaspora they would open up an immigration platform for those who wish to relocate. They will give land since they claim they don't have the funds, they would make relocating eaiser for their brothers and sisters with ease, visa free. Liberia should be more vigorous with if they want to move into a better future, since they are already attached to the hip of America, 'which is STILL a great country contrary to some' you can only learn from the best. You would see Liberia develop faster than any other country. When America was developing they gave land to whosoever wanted to come to thus country. And she is still taking immigrants, evidence of the many Afgans who came here recently. Which African country is saying 'Come help us develop we can offer you land and work with you' I have seen or heard of this. Please correct me if I am wrong. All I heard is bring your money and invest, but which country is willing to invest in a people who long to be welcome back to their homeland that their ancestors prayed that one day her children will return. Investment is not in the money people can bring, that is short sighted, Investment is in the heart, tenacity and resilient of a people and their generation who know how to survive. So yes I agree with my brother, Liberia is a better stop for diaspora, the foundation is already there, she just need people with vision. Peace and love to all.

African Americans are not taking such risk. The history of what African Americans have been though in the 1800s we don't want that experience ever again please built your own country. Many of us African American love america we built the United States so please we built your country before and look at what happened. African Americans are not fools the risk is to high. I know many African American that have told me that liberia women men don't even speak to African Americans while they are living in our country in the United states so why would we want to build and invest in your country.
