Health care is also important, to avoid getting sick, make sure you are eating well cooked food and drink bottle water. I was in Liberia January for 2 weeks, I took doxycycline and antimalaria medications daily.
Very accurate video! After being gone for 44 years, I felt like I was on another planet. But once you start having fun you adjust to it and you just fall in love with the country. As for the women, don’t even bother taking all of that make up...it is too hot.
The girls over there are doing make up so,after living there for a little while you are going to be adjusted to the weather and now you can do your make up ooh
I took a business idea from ur channel, now I have three Mack trucks in Nigeria, making money than I expected, I truly appreciate your videos and content . 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
My Mother is from Liberia I was born in United States I never met my grandparents who died in Liberia so my goal is to go there and I want to open up a business in honor of my grandparents who I’ve never met I pray God make this possible
The idea of buying a high up SUV or Truck is an amazing idea. I plan to get a new truck out there for my routine trips to Grand Gedeh. However, the price to free cars from the port is like buying a new car; very unfortunate.
Thank you for such informative tips I really love your videos- One thing that really attracted me to your videos Is the clarity and no background music- Sometimes the background music can be a little distracting.❤🎉
Good advice. When I went to Liberia, as a passenger the driving stress me out. Our driver hit another car and then later the car broke down. It was lot.
One thing to keep in mind: Liberia is not America. Spend less time on condemning and enjoy the difference. Don't go with a chip on your shoulder, thinking you are better than the folks there. Be humble.
Everything stated here is so accurate. Was home for two months, one month ago and I had the best time of my life. Another thing if you don't have your own transportation except to spend a lot on transport.
You’re absolutely right brother!....the driving is so much crazy but I drive there for two months. Lib is very very hot but it’s actually a much funs to be home. Security is a safe depends how long you’re out for.
Great basic information! I would like to have the names and contact information of people and organizations on the ground to be able to network and work with to help facilitate travel and relocation.
Thanks for making this video. I left Liberia as a child, after the coup. I came back briefly but wish I had moved back earlier, when I was younger. It would have been easier. Going back will definitely require adjustment and flexibility. I miss Liberia, the culture, the food and the people. Would you recommend bringing household items and appliances as well as toiletries? what would be the best gifts to take to family and friends? What about things to take back to give to the needy? Did you move back to Liberia or are you commuting between the USA and Liberia? Would you recommend commuting between Liberia and another African country? I thought the latter might make more sense as it is closer and one could get what things one needs from another African country and bring them to Liberia rather than lugging them from the USA.
Like I knew it..I already planned on all of those stuff you’re talking about especially the traffic.. I’m going to b leaving Buchanan 5 am in the morning to Monrovia returning 10 pm at night once a week ..that’s my plans I already have all of those things jam packed.. been out of Lib 32 years want back 3 times and moving back now..

Nice ..
And yes it’s very expensive, that’s the discouraging part
Also, I know there are lift kits that raise the car...(not a diy project! Best to consult with a mechanic who can actually do that sort of work)
That is so true my brother. I was there and experienced it a lot. I had to get myself adjusted to it.
Thank you for such informative tips

And yes , we didn’t have our own transportation, we spent almost $900 USD on cars .. renting etc
