Using Camo Form wrap on the Mossburg 500

  • With the DE turkey season around the corner I had two choices, buy a new specialized camo turkey shotgun, or try to use the Camo Form wrap to camo up as much of my existing Mossburg 500 as I could. I tried the less than $15 camo wrap first. I covered asmuch as I could, but could not do all of the shotgun because of the pump action mechanics but this will give you a good idea about the product.
    Camo Wrap is a heavy fabric wrap that you can mold and will self stick. There is no adhesive, just stretch the wrap as you go and it makes a great seal and grip. You can use it to conceal just about anything you want to use it on besides firearms. I had some left over and wrapped up a scope on my Savage 220 slug gun also. Besides adding the camo effect,it will stop any clinking sounds coming from anything you apply it to.
    It is removable, and leaves no residue behind, washable also. I called it tape a few times I think in the video, it is not tape, but all fabric that you can easily cut and shape over just about anything. I got the wrap in Realtree Max-4, but it comes in many other colors.The only down side I would say it that they should supply more in the roll, there is enough for a firearm, but not a matching scope.
    I also am asking you to join a Pro 2nd amendment rights group and have a few minutes at the end of the video on that. If you don't want to join the NRA, join a State or Local group, or a wildlife group like the NWTF, or Ducks Unlimited, etc. Do it today.

    Yes you can wrap your barrel, heat does not seem to bother it.

  • @whiterook85
    @whiterook85  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    No, it does not have glue on it, it sticks to itself. That is why you have to start by wrapping all the way around your stock or barrel, then move up or down the barrel.

    I put wrap on synthetic stock. Seems to keep noise down when walking thru brush. As the twigs used to make a plastic pinging noise when walking thru the woods now the sound is greatly muted. Just curious you really think the cammo rap really helps make the rifle less visible to deer?

      Swapped it out for a Mossy Oak camo wrap. Much nicer, more professional looking. Think turkeys may pick up a glint of light from it, deer I don't think so.

    Great video. I was wondering if I need to remove any residual protective oil before applying the wrap. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    A very good investment for $30 is the mossy oak gun wrap kit. It covers EVERYTHING I mean this stuff looks like it just got camo dipped. Also you can take it off whenever you want. Please check in to it and give me a comment back about what you think.

    No need to remove any oil before you wrap the barrel. It sticks to itself really so as long as you wrap all the way around once at your starting point you will be good to go. Remember if your firearm does get wet, remove the wrap let it dry and re-wrap. Thanks for watching.
