Frank Gore is the most underappreciated underrated player in the history of the NFL. A pro's pro, hard work ethic, natural ability, tough, smart, and leads by example. 1st ballot HOF no questions asked.

He's the Bengals all time leader in interceptions and has the 5th most interceptions all time at 65 throughout his career. He was also the head of one of the most dominant secondaries in NFL history, "The Snake Pit" with Lamar Parish, and Tommy Casanova, and Ken Riley. He's still not in the HoF and has recently passed away this year.

It's kind of like Maurice Jones-Drew with the Jags. He had nothing around him and they stacked the box everytime but he would still get it going and wreck people. The problem was the Jags never got better and they ran him into the dirt. I have no idea how Gore is still doing it today

The most amazing Frank Gore stat is over 1,200 yards from scrimmage 12 consecutive seasons. Only player in history at any position to do that. Flashy? No. But so damn solid and steady year in and year out. He's earned a Hall Of Fame invitation the hard way.

This is a man that has fought hard for everything in his life. He is 37 years old and STILL isn't stopping. He is currently 3rd all time in rushing yards and is chasing for 2nd. I love Frank Gore. I loved watching him run when I was younger and I STILL love watching him at times. Keep doing your thing, Frank.
When the niners picked him I was like "His knees won't hold up!" But as a niner fan I stayed the course and he made a fool out of me. One of the greatest running backs to ever play the game!

I’ve always held a soft spot for Frank. He’s not really paid attention to nowadays, but imagine how amazing it is to have a guy tear both his ACL’s, make the NFL and is now a future hall of famer. Honestly crazy.
One of the reasons why I love Gore is when I see him on the field on Sundays I say to myself “man I still feel like a kid just seeing him out there”
I love being able to have watched legends like him and Larry legends whole career, we don’t see many like them but we have to appreciate men like him in any sport that we see them in.

I am a 49er fan and I love this guy, that said, he transcends the lines drawn by fan bias and the competitive nature of the sport. Frank Gore is a man, not an idol, and yet it's hard not to look at him and think his presence makes the world a little better. He sets an example for us all to strive for. Yeah, how can anyone hear this guy's story and not love him for the man he is. When Frank finally retires, he will have left everything he had on the field, no regrets, and certainly no shame. Frank Gore is a man, and I, for one, am damn glad he didn't give up.

I loved him when he played with my colts. I was sad when we let him go. In his few season with he quickly became one my favorite colt
Even though he was beating up my Seahawks, I found that I really like watching him play. Even when we would play the 49ers and I'm yelling at the screen "Stop the little one!!!"... lol. Keep running, Gore. I pray that when you decide you are finally done, that you are healthy so you can continue to enjoy your life.

As a long time 49'ers fan (1979), I can't remember how many times he just shocked me with his talent. I can be as fickle as any fan and would sometimes think "Get him out of the game!" only to be followed by "Frank Rules!" He is a force. Thanks Frank!!

When I drafted him in fantasy football in 2011, I knew NOTHING about football. I was dragged in as an emergency fill-in. I printed out some ESPN rankings lists at positions and drafted Gore accordingly. My friend told me as I asked about him after the pick:
"He's really good but he gets hurt a lot."
That was before the 2011 season. Since the 2011 season, he has only missed 2 games in 2018.

I grew up watching this man run on the beach, we used to call him rambo, true legend.
Always loved frank man. True stud. Had no idea he tore both his knees in college. To go on and have the career he’s had after that is insane and very inspiring.
I love the guy. I was so happy when I heard last year that he was coming to buffalo. Yes he now plays for the rival jets, but I still love him.
I’m a eagles fan and I remember him backtracking on chip and going to the colts too bad he could have done great thing’s in Philadelphia behind our Super Bowl caliber line. I have a new respect and appreciation for the man . Both of these dudes will and determination is wonderful to see. Good luck guys I hope you run for decades to come
Frank.. u were on the miners thanksg iving game I was wearing the old Maroon jersey and u recognized it getting on the bus and gave me a fist bump. I was on the field entire game. 9ers lost on thanksgiving... U will always be a niner to me.. u r a beast.. now in third of the all times. I met Frank Gore back in 2006 at Lefty's Sports Card Store, I was in awe of him back then and still to this day. My favorite 49ers player even though he hasn't been with the team for a few years. Keep on running, brother, and hopefully you get to retire second or first on the All-time Rushing list.

As a current distance runner whose training for the Chicago Marathon In 2021 (6th Marathon for me). I ran 1,276 miles alone in 2018. My current bench is 185lbs. I really appreciated this. Thank You NFL. There’s actually been several NFL players post retirement believe it or not to do 5ks, 13.1, and a full marathon. Tiki Barber did the New York Marathon. Jerry Rice both come to mind. Chicago will be my 6th marathon. Frank Gore is a hell of a player. I run 22-32 miles a week. I also lift weights
