As a person from Colorado, the thing that makes me sad about outdoor retreat is that it is a vacation only world. This world looks most like where I live and I wish I could have my sims live in this world!
If you’re on PC Zerbu has a mod that lets you do that!
I mean glimmerbrook looks incredibly similar, copperdale is also intentionally colorado inspired... We've got lots of forest worlds
At least you have Glimmerbrook and Copperdale, there's nothing like Selvadorada

I'd be more concerned that they had access to my bank account to make such changes.

yes, seeing a sixam planet build would be delightful. Also I'd forgotten about this lot when I saw the icon and tried to figure out how you got normal daylight images of either of the base game hidden lots
I think Sydney Macoretta did a Sixam build a while back! I'd love to see Kayla do one too!
I desperately wish every world had a hidden area like the tree or other interactive ways to get to some hidden area! It makes it so much more fun for storytelling purposes!
Yes! How cool would it be if the Island Living or Horse Ranch caves led to a viewable hidden area?

yeah the older worlds are so much more interactable, with secret lots and collectables. i cant play in newer worlds theres nothing for my sims to do
That weird cave in horse ranch was such a missed opportunity for a hidden lot, I have no idea why they didn't go for it
So I think its really cool, that you restrict what packs you're using! But maybe it could be an idea to use the statistics James got from his survey, about how many people own certain packs, to sometimes say that you use three or four packs but specifically choose ones that many people own? Just as an idea to be able to use some more different objects :)

This is actually the first time I've seen someone show the Outdoor Retreat secret lot. Didn't know there was one!
You can even be a hardcore simmer and not know about this. I went to sixam and to the Willow Creek one but never cared about Granite Falls enough to know about that one lol Trust me I've been simming for almost 12 years (I mean ts4 specifically is only 9 years old but you got my drift)
It blows my mind that people don't know about this one. You have to go there to complete the aspiration from outdoor retreat
I don't have Outdoor Retreat. But I watch enough Simmers on youtube to know about a lot stuff from packs I don't have. But nobody had ever mentioned this one before.@@sproutstuff

i really appreciate the way you don’t make people feel stupid for not knowing these things. i know a lot about the sims but my gf does not so it’s nice showing her ur videos :)
I like her videos, but i feel the opposite. I feel like she thinks no one knows anything but her about the sims. Maybe toning down the part, oh most of you don't know about it, etc would be nice. The info can stay useful without this part. ( And i feel bad for criticizing her, but this was a long feeling of mine already).

Every time you called the back the "front" I was giggling. "The front just has no dimension" "that's because it's the back kayla... though tbf the actual front is not giving much dimension either". Cackled when the gallery showed you the real "front" and cackled even harder when you zoomed out and revealed there's an actual path out the real front
Kayla: "I'm gonna put a telescope here cause we didn't have them when the game came out and it would be perfect here in the wild"
Also Kayla: proceeds to point the telescope to a tree

I recently had my sims get married in Sylvan Glade!
Granted, you can't host an actual wedding, but I built a cute venue and sort of dragged some random sims along as "guests." The photos turned out so pretty too ♡
honestly love this idea! I might have to give renovating this lot a go as well! In my current play through my sim is a bookworm--she meets and falls in love with a vampire and wants to find a way for him to come out in the sun with her. So she is exploring spells, herbalism, etc to find a cure. And for part of the story she is going into the deep woods to see if the hermit has any special herbs that can help.
so having a cool renovated build out there would be nice!

I was *wondering* where those planters came from! Outdoor retreat is one of my first packs and I love it. I am going to have to craft more of those. I just think they're neat.
Yes, do the secret world from Get to Work!!! Make it like it was from Lunar Lakes or something mid-century modern, or make it look like it came from the Jetson's cartoon--boy, I am really dating myself on that one. What about the cave in the Dessert Bloom Park? is there a lot there? That would really be a challenge to build there.

I never really use that lot or ever go there, I kinda easily forget about it.. but I will download the house for another lot and use, cause its really pretty
That isn’t a basket with storage for cutlery, it’s a real deal picnic basket. You take it with you when you go on a picnic, it has all the dishes and cutlery and cups you need, and the larger basket is for the food you’re eating! Nicer ones can have a small cooler in them to keep food and wine cold!
Super cute cabin! And I'd love to see you build something in Sixam 😁 perhaps you could use the sleep pods from get famous & the decontamination shower from get to work?
I actually love the secret worlds. It feels like a reward for gameplay and exploration. If anything, I'd like more of them.

I honestly use outdoor retreat so much. My sims go on camping trips all the time 😂 I do not like the outdoors irl so I live it up in the sims

add six dogs and some chickens and subtract the fish and this is pretty much my grandma’s house. this is a good thing, I love my grandma and her woodworking. she makes wooden spoons and sells them at farmer/artisan’s markets :D

I think Outdoor Retreat, Horseranch and Cottage Living, Build/Buy-wise all play well together (and Werewolves, too).
As you were talking about the tub that’s crafted…honestly, Eco Lifestyle blends with those too!
Imagine being an hermit and go live in the woods so no one could ever bother you, and then a random person comes to your house and start refurnishing everything, get rid of your plants and family photos and give you a dining table for a lot of people when all you want is privacy lmao
I never thought to try and modify that secret lot. I’ve visited it a bunch of times looking for specific items, but literally didn’t think it was possible to mod it with the cheats.
I may just have to give it a go now, because I’m always looking for fun new places to build.

Not gonna lie when you posted one of your Sims 3 videos and the aliens arrived. I had to think if the alien world I knew was from 3 or 4 because they blended in my brain so honestly I think you should do both Sims four secret, alien world and sims 3
I think it would be a great idea to renovate the house in Mt. Komorebi, since you are saying all the time that if you made it now you would've changed some stuff!

I really wish I could access your builds on Xbox. I’m so jealous of all the computer simmers right now lol. I just want to thank you for all your tips and tricks. It really helps me when I build my houses and lots on the Sims. I’m not that creative when it comes to builds so it definitely helps so much. Your videos to give me inspiration and ideas I just wish I could access your builds on Xbox!

you could build a house in the oasis spring cave, the one where you need handiness lv10 to access. I know there is no default house but it might be a fun challenge to build a cave hideaway

I like it. Looks much better. However I think a useful change would be to put the planters under cower since the outdoor retreat aspirations did not account for weather so it takes ages to complete since some of the plants will be out of season whenever you take your sim on vacation.
Can you please do a short of your tarine (dirt and sand) of the settings?

Kayla, firstly i love your builds, thank you for these 🥺 but also you havent used blue in so long, like in so many things so you keep saying that its because you make everything blue but you havent made much blue in a while - so how about an all blue house cause genuienly blue is such a pretty colour for the sims
