In this video I show the steps and procedures necessary to replace the transmission mount on a Chevrolet Silverado. The same procedures can be taken for a GMC Sierra. Chevrolet suburban. Chevrolet Tahoe. GMC Yukon. And a Cadillac Escalade. The vehicle shown in the video is a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado with 102,000 miles. Symptoms were allowed audible clunk when downshifting, accelerating from a stop, and applying the brakes are low speed’s, I do recommend you purchase a OEM genuine GM mount. I have many had Many difficulties trying to fit in use in after market now from array Lee’s, Napa, and advanced auto parts. I hope this video has help you out if it has please like and subscribe. If you have any questions or comments feel free to leave something in the comment section. Thank you

Does anyone have the torque spec for the nut that goes through the crossmember? Mine has come loose twice now, I get a squeak each time.

Yo!! Thank you so much I believe this pertains to 2000s and up rwd for this style mount saved my driveline with this worked for a 06 SWB 1500 used a iron plate that was plenty wide enough to lift came right up even re-alligned my exhaust to where it is supposed to be much obliged!

What usually causes the trans mount to break? I watched your vid and replaced mine but am wondering if I could have done something to prevent it?

The 2003 Sierra manual transmission does not have enough room to lift.
The crossmember has to be removed.

Molly you jack up the transmission just enough to get the old transmission mount out and put the new one in and let the jack down
