16:14 I am sure you know but I'm posting for everyone else who may be just learning about the Raspberry Pi... you have to shut it down properly or you can corrupt the Operating System (well, the SD Card it's on). So, easy set up and an alert power down will have you golden. Oh and a backup SD card in case of Power Outage incident and possible card corruption.
Once the Raspberry Pi is set up, you can set a toggle that prevents it from writing to the SD card. Once that is set, the chance of SD card corruption goes away.
Good info here, but seriously bud, this whole video should only need to be about 5 minutes long. Way, WAy, WAY too much dead space and "um-ing". But still, thanks for the info.
you're an idiot. the guy was sharing advice with the presenter that would help make his videos even better.. he probably didn't even know he was wasting so much time with mannerisms that many of us do in our daily interactions... except when you're doing a video, and sharing it with the internet (especially an educational one) it's important to be succinct. See, this is called "advice" aka constructive criticism. only a dick head would fast forward through this guy's video, take all the info he's sharing, and not even bother to send any feedback. don't be a dick. learn the difference when someone is giving constructive criticism versus insults. see my message to you is constructive criticism about shortcomings with your personality . (but also peppered with a little bit of sass).

Like I Just asked though is why the Raspberry Pi. ENTTEC makes a converter already called the ODE Mk2.

Woot for Raspberry Pi!
I guess I am not completely following this, but why the Raspberry Pi? Why not use a Artnet to DMX box not a USB to DMX?
Cost usually, this whole box build I did was cheaper than a single artnet to dmx box. Also I wanted the learning experience.
I want the 3rd vídeo :(
