    Is that test simulated done at 100% of “volume” or less? As if that would be set as 30-40% maybe then usable in apartment even when racing at night? What you think?

    • @roostergeeracing6962
      @roostergeeracing6962  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @luan051 that was about 70%. However, my speakers are much louder than the vibrations from the rig. I have since learned from talking to Slip-Angle that I should turn up the power in the software to very high (slider to the right) so that the amp doesn’t have to work that hard. The amp knobs should be at about 50-55%.
      I feel that the rubber feet will keep your vibrations in your apartment. And if for some reason it becomes a problem for the people downstairs, you can always put a rubber mat under that.
      Thanks for watching.

    So getting this off amazon with blue springs is 528 pounds cost 188 and getting this from slip angle is 210. Not sure if you have to pay shipping but you get steel brackets and the hardware to install it. Not sure how they are making money lol, sure they got a bulk discount or something.
    Its 250 with shipping.

    • @roostergeeracing6962
      @roostergeeracing6962  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @ubermoc I agree that they must be getting a big bulk discount. It’s been about 4 months now, and the other day I had the Slip-Angle turned off because I was playing around with some settings. I’m not driving without it again unless I absolutely have to.
      I’ve also been looking into upgrading my computer’s sound card so I can consistent maintain separate channels for sound output when racing on the PC to have sound coming out of my surround speakers and vibration from the rig. PS5 is doing a consistent job of allowing me to have surround and vibration. Maybe this is why I’m such a fan of this product because I’ve got as close to everything I want for driving at home. Maybe put more money together and think about the Next Level to get full movement. D-Box on my wish list. That’s where my head is at with what I’ve tested.

    Would I still be able to put casters under the rig for ease of rolling? That would mean the bottom plate of the spring will be raised....would that matter? If fine, how high is the bottom of the rig from the spring plate (so I can get higher casters)? TY

    • @roostergeeracing6962
      @roostergeeracing6962  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jgloc25 you have to account for 2 1/4” or about 5.5 cm of space below the rig. I built a platform and put that on wheels because I always had to move my rig. Now I don’t have to but it’s still on that platform.

    Hi there, thank you for demonstrating! Canadian here as well, from Toronto. Quick question, how much did this cost taxes, shipping, conversion, duty fee's ... basically all in cost. I'm interested but haven't seen any information on actual full cost for Canadians. Thank you!

    • @roostergeeracing6962
      @roostergeeracing6962  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi @lowkenshin1069 thanks for watching the video. Total in CDN was about $920. Really sucks for us because of the conversion and duty and there is just nothing we can do about that. At most you can send it to a friend in Buffalo. But the exchange is so brutal right now.
      With all of that being said, you can definitely source the transducers, speaker wire, amp, and sound card yourself for way cheaper. Probably $300-$500 CDN (without me doing any serious research). The kicker is the isolators though. I’ve read that a few people have had vibration issues going through the floor - especially if they are on wood flooring.
      If you don’t get isolators to keep the vibrations in your rig, maybe you can sit the rig on a thick rubber mat like something that Home Depot or Rona sells. Like for walking over flooring with your skates.
      The isolators are of massive importance to me because this rig is buzzing and the isolators 💯 keep the vibrations inside. I also love that the springs give the rig a tiny bit of suspension feel, because I don’t know any vehicle that drives like it’s stapled to one spot on the road.
      I can’t say enough about going over a kerb in F1 23 just after watching a race and feeling that sensation through the rig with the sound on top.
      A bonus is that I’ve read that people are using the haptic feedback for other games too. So if you can get the important equipment for under $500 🇨🇦 your gaming world will go to the stratosphere. And it’s made me race more because I enjoy it more and now my times are starting to come down in WRC G and GT7.
      Have fun 🏎️

    Would this kit be good for someone who only does oval racing?

    • @roostergeeracing6962
      @roostergeeracing6962  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ RCSimRacin my understanding of oval racing is that it can be on dry asphalt or on mud, but I guess anywhere else after that. With that said, tracks that have kerbs, jumps, change in texture, and other uneven surfaces would benefit more from this kit.

    Does this kit change the sensation at all or is it purely for isolation? I would presume it is Slightly more efficient at getting the forces to you and less is lost.

    • @roostergeeracing6962
      @roostergeeracing6962  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @ivana6141 that’s an excellent question! The springs, coupled with the rubber feet are purely for isolation ie keeping the vibrations in the rig. So you can definitely source transducers, amp, wiring, and sound card to make it all work. If you are on carpet in the basement, you’d probably be just fine and save yourself CDN $400 without bothering someone else in the room while you race.
      Thanks for watching.

      Hi @markgilbertson5890 I have the 100W system and it’s perfect. Perhaps the 300W system is for driving a wind machine as well. Honestly not sure. Their customer service is really good so give them a shout. Most of my settings are not cranked up, if that helps. ASR rig and I’m 6-1, 190lbs.

      The 300 watt amp has an additional 2 channels. Runs 50w a channel, so you can run the 4 corners, plus one under the seat and one under the pedals all from one unit.

    Hi there i have trak racer rs6 how can these fit on my rig :(??

    • @roostergeeracing6962
      @roostergeeracing6962  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi @ldn889 good question. I looked up some photos of the rig and I’m unable to see where there any channels to mount the brackets for the isolators. Unfortunately I can’t find any pics of the underside to see if there is something there. Perhaps you can find some metal strapping that would go around each corner and then add attach some short 8020 pieces, and then attach the isolators. This is an “ugly” solution but without having your rig to investigate, I’m only able to guess.
      I’d try giving Slip-Angle a call to see if they have a retrofit solution. Email works too.
      Thanks for watching and good luck.

    Buy the silent block rubbers to put under the seat, they cost very little and do exactly the same job.

    • @Mr_Latte_UK
      @Mr_Latte_UK 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Doing that on this solution with the units on the corners would then dampen the vibrations entering into the seat.
      You need to have the units installed to the seat and pedal sections, then place the isolation. Direct to body placement will bring better results than corners. These springs however are superb at reducing vibrations going into the floor.

    • @Thuddster
      @Thuddster 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah no, the purpose your shakers is to feel them - in your butt, feet, back, hands, etc. just like in a race car. Isolating yourself by cushioning teh seat kinda defeats the purpose of the shakers!
      These isolators are designed to decouple the vibration from the shakers to the floor. That way the vibration energy of the shakers isn't wasted by vibrating the floor, instead the shakers are just vibrating your rig where you touch it - similar to the feedback you get in a real race car. So you can run the shakers at lower power level and still get great tactile feedback. A bonus for using these is that the isolation from the floor, means your shakers will be less bothersome to those nearby that for example don't appreciate the rumble strips in the apexes at Imola. After hours. 🙃

    The big problem with your system is that the entire structure vibrates and in the long run the vibrations don't get along very well with the soldering of the various electrical circuits.

      @@RyKnocks That system avoids vibrations on the ground (to avoid disturbing the neighbors) but brings all the vibrations to the workstation... PC, flight base, steering wheel, monitor all take up the vibrations of the system... In the long run it can give problems... I placed everything under the seat and behind the backrest, isolating with silent blocks where the seat is anchored to the station and so the vibrations remain only on the seat and not everywhere...

      @@davideattila73 The whole point is to vibrate your rig. So whether or not you isolate them, it will vibrate your peripherals.
