Ours was 11 weeks. The breeder has a pack of working Shepherds on her farm. She won't let puppies go until 11 weeks. As a puppy, she handled all sorts of situations like a total boss.

Absolutely! Our GSD was bred in a family with kids ranging from teens to toddlers, a cat, an old grumpy terrier, and a parrot that liked to mimic both people and dogs 😂 completely different to a farmyard upbringing, but equally as eclectic and varied 😁👍

My favourite yet,I can relate to the puppys and how they change with age with there personality,my huntaway was bought for working trials and at 5,6,7 months old it was almost like he had been diluted, now at just over 2 he's a machine and a completely different dog,yet when I went to choose him he was the most boisterous and outgoing.

My husband is more of anxious personality and when he is with the dog I feel the dog is more anxious than when he is with me. He also shows separation anxiety when my husband leaves without him. He doesn’t seem to be as upset when I leave. He is however a sweet boy. He is social with dogs, but not as keen on children. Luckily we don’t have young children in the house, and we always make people aware that he’s not child friendly. Forgot to say he is a GSD/ Husky mix. He has more of a Husky personality compared to a GSD. I’ve had a pure bred GSD and this one is nothing like that.

My dogs mother wanted nothing to do with her pups after 5 days, the first few days she wouldn’t leave their sides but then it quickly became an issue for the breeder to lock her in the pen to feed the pups and let her out once they were fed
A year prior she had a litter of stillborns and became highly aggressive when they had to remove the stillborn pups so they decided to breed her again in would be better the 2nd time round

When a dog is neurotic, I always think of dogs that will do anything to get that ball, even if it means jumping off a cliff.

My girl Cassie gsd was like Tilly Jamie she liked her own space and company, if people or dog was coming near her she would do low growl and walk away, yet when i got her as pup she was out in front of litter wanting 😂 attention.

23.50 a low genetic ability to be trained😂 yeah like I was told by SEVERAL trainers."just use food, labs are easy"
Not every lab is highly food driven its a myth.
