I used to wear Oud wood more for special occasions, but yesterday i decided to wear it for my hiking day in the irish mountains, and i loved to feel that amazing smell of fragrance in the beautiful nature💚
I am a female and I wear this. Usually TF fragrances are unisex and this is slightly feminine IMO. Vetiver root is one of my most fav fragrance. I get compliments from men when I wore it.

Wow!! You nailed this one. I'm not an oud fan but LOVE this scent. I get more of a fruit vibe. Very classy and not too loud. It's over 100 degrees where I'm at (that's 38+ European degrees) and I'll spray a light topper of TF Neroli Portofino over this... Unbelievable!!

I've had this for a while, I prefer TF Tobacco Vanille over it (on my third bottle) and this is clearly better than cheaper Ouds out there. The issue I have with it is that I get a weird soapy smell that I don't like.

one time i tried one oud oil in saudia, it was attar oil, thicker than honey, feel like wax. i cant forget the smell of that! for first 10 minutes it smelled like real fresh earthy wood, but then some very beautiful smell came, and that guy only used 1 drop of it, and it lasted for 2 days.

Just bought the Oud Wood this weekend after spending the time to smell most of the Tom Ford line at Saks. What an elegant scent it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for now in my mid 40s. Doesn’t project very long but definitely has good longevity. Perfect for evenings out.

I was shocked to learn something about the big name frags at arguably the biggest Niche store in Canada. The 3 to 5 main(best) notes of these frags are replaced with SYNTHETICS !!! I am in a city with over 2 million people. You can get big name colognes in MANY drug stores, gas stations, etc like Dior Sauvage, Bleu De Chanel, Kilian, Tom Ford, Initio. I saw Dior bottles and Bleu De Chanel in a vending machine! Also they are all over airports. He/she said ambroxan is amped up sooo much like msg for food. The store gets asked all the time why many designer frags are not on the shelf and the response is on a website now to save time explaining. Pre Estee Lauder takeover they were all over her shelves. I, like many, smell BDC and Dior S. and find it just ok. The reason some on youtube still say it is the best ever is they get free bottles TO SELL and make $. I was floored.
For me, Out Wood is just too weak. Doesn't last long enough. Thameen Carved Wood is about the same price or a bit more expensive but definitely lasts longer and projects way better. Smells very similar too.
oud wood is a beast ..love the smell ...it lasts and performs great ...its a panty dropper but only if u are near women if not its just good on u but man is it good ..gets compliments

I think parfums are not liked anymore, people complain about it being invasive and giving headaches. Funnily enough I experience the same. So giving people headaches on first dates and or meeting the parents of your girlfriend is a big no no in my book.
Which one is better? Ombre Nomade by Loius Vuitton or Oud Wood by Tom Ford? I am planning on getting Oud Wood, but since projection is not so good I still have not decided if I should pull the trigger on that one or in Ombre Nomade which by the way smells really good too! My favorite fragrance, but performance is extremely weak. Skin scent after 1h, gone after 2-3h. So I layer it with Thameen Carved Oud or Fragrance Du Bois Oud Noir Intense, they smell very similar (still like TF OW better) but last longer.

Also, you should check out those 2 fragrances I mentioned, classic Middle East scent profile - rose and oud. In fact, Oud Touch smells very similar to Oud Ispahan by Dior with the exception of a caramel note in the opening :)

It's such a shame that I get anosmic to it after just a few wears. I hear Carved oud from Thameen has the same DNA but with better longevity and performance. Thinking of giving that one a try. Do you know it ? I think oud wood is second to non for formal events, classy and blended to perfection.

This scent is fantastic but the longevity is hardly 2 hours, at least on my skin

It is a really good and unique fragrance but projection is a bit of a problem, for me I like my fragrances to be loud, like an extrait
For all tall who wants that projection from it, overspray it and you will most def get noticed, not just up close :)
My husband is Arabic descent and can pull off Black Orchid and Oud Wood so amazingly. 👍🏻 TF perfumes are not for the faint hearted, flimsy boys.

Whatever they did the newer batches post 2013 are just not the same. My 2013 bottle is so much better in every facet.

OUD WOOD is not my fav for TF, it is not long lasting which is sad for an OUD fragrance. I prefer Tobacco OUD for more boldiness and long lasting;)
