You are the best fragrance specialist I've ever heard talking! So eloquent, expressive, articulate, fluent, well spoken, graceful and professional! I really enjoyed your presentation from the first second to the last.
I don't think I should continue to watch these videos because it creates a very expensive hobby lol. I got some samples of Santal Basmati and I am completely in love...
Oud Wood takes the gold medal... dress up and you're good to go with that woodsier drydown. Spots in podium for Tobacco Oud and Italian Cypress. All fine selections from TF Private Blend, Josephine. Saludos desde Ecuador.
TF was my first expensive perfume purchase and to date still the most expensive. On holiday in New York from NZ (which I planned around perfume halls and a thwarted hint for L’artisan Parfumeur back in 2012) I purchased 3 x 50ml TFord frags - Musc Pure (l loved that very simple musk fragrance - so clean), White Suede (it took me years to love it) and Cafe Rose. Floral fragrances have always been hard for me to wear so I found that one more palatable (though I can now wear florals maybe less oily skin with age is the secret). Not long after I bought Oud Wood and Noir de Noir… Oud Wood (and CdG Wonderwood) are two of my favourite woody fragrances. I have since repurchased Oud Wood. It projects well but is soft and so clean. Woods, musks and resins seem to sweeten and clean up on my skin and it’s been the most asked after fragrance I’ve ever worn (by males and females)…4 people I know have purchased it after smelling it on me and trying for themselves. Tf is definitely a dear to my heart… and I see myself buying again. I’m intrigued to try both Tuscan Leather and Jasmin Rouge (which sounds like a deeper sexier version of my old fragrance Jasmine et Cigarette).
So when I was out buying Oud Wood (based on your video review). I got the chance to smell "Fabulous". The opening to me was all over the place, the potency that this hits you, is unlike most fragrances out there. As it began to dry down, it started evolving into this very pleasant fragrance, to the point where I too thought that there was a bit of Iris in this thing; I even asked the sales lady if Iris was part of the notes, but she said no. Fabulous is actually one that I'm considering going back for, it's very unique, but I can't wear it everywhere.
I got a decant of Jasmin Rouge recently and realized it reminds me very much of my Mother's Giorgio perfume. Also got a decant of Electric Cherry and think it's AMAZING for summer ❤ Soliel Blanc smells very Bath and Body Works to me.
I finally caved in and got my very first TF fragrance, Jasmin Rouge. I’ve been putting it off for a long time because of the $$$ but I should have done it sooner. It’s definitely a niche!
Tom Ford is my obsession …. I own: Neroli Portofino( my forever fragrance), Extreme Lavander(looooove it), Tabacco Vanille(love it), Soleile Brullian (love it).
I have similar sort of connection with Tom Ford brand, it is my favorite one. The Private Blend collection is an example of masterful perfumery.. no doubt. I am a fan оf fougere genre. Fougere D'argent is a masterpiece in that case, very underrated, definitely leaning more to the masculinity.
I bought Soleil Blanc 2 days ago to wear it this summer. It is absolutely fantastic and the way you described is 100% accurate. Worth every penny, and it tops Eau de Soleil Blanc , Neroli Portofino (which I think is for someone older than a 23 year old :P) and Costa Azzura. Only downside is I don't think it lasts the entire day, at least not on my skin
I really like the Tobacco Vanille and Tobacco Oud Intense from Tom Ford. Tuscan Leather and Noir are also great fragrances for men. Thanks for the nice review 👍👍👍
I greatly respect your opinions, vast knowledge, and so enjoy your videos, but I genuinely love Lost Cherry. It just makes me happy. I have long been a fan of cherry/ almond fragrances.
Bravo!! Soleil Blanc is Waikiki outside the beach hut sipping on Lava Flows aaaalllll daaaayyy! Another well done video and presentation. Bravo, Bravo...
Jasmine Rouge is excellent after showering in the middle of a warm day. I love JR but I also like the white bottle called Soliel Blanc it does the same thing a little more masculine than JR. Love your content always!
As a man I can clearly say : Jasmin Rouge is phenomenal! I had discovered it few weeks ago and I just felt in love with it.. It has some kind of magic in the formula, just like Aura by Mugler, which makes me wanna to wear it everyday.
I love Soleil Neige, I live in NYC so it’s a bit more appropriate all year round than Soleil Blanc. It smells like a lemony yet fluffy & comforting. I also love Noir de Noir (dark chocolate, oud, & red wine) but I wish it projected more, sits too close to the skin.
Nice picks Josefine. Neroli Portofino was the first niche fragrance I ever purchased and one of the only bottles I've gone through entirely. I agree that Private Blend is a great way to get into niche fragrances.
Just discovered Jasmine Rouge and I love the dry down especially. Even my scent sensitive daughter cannot get enough. I enjoyed Lost Cherry as well in the fall and winter.
Jasmin Rouge is the hidden gem that nobody talks about. In fact I am afraid it will get discontinued very soon, considering all the discontinuation going on lately. On that note I wouldn’t mind it going to the Signature line. Even as a man, I am in love with it and soon want to get around picking it up. Remind me of my childhood and it’s so dreamy. I wish the sillage and longevity were a tad bit better.
MERCEDESBENZS600 BASH that one lasts all day on me. Like 8+ hrs. It doesnt clear a room with projection, but it has a good sillage. Its kind of a heavy scent. YMMV as a disclaimer.
tom F.F was the first tom ford i ever smelled last month AND i was blowed away!!! never smell something like that, crazy scent!!!! my number 1, and now i go look for the tuscan leather. J. you're i nice revieuwer, good job!!! grtz from Belgium
Well done Josephine. I have all five, although the Jasmin Rouge I purchased for my wife and it’s spectacular. I have to say though that I find the Oud Wood very strong and long lasting.
Hello Josephine I'm not the greatest fan from Tom Ford, but I must admit the house has some really great fragrance: Tabacco Oud, Oud Wood, Tuscan Leather, Tobacco Vanille, Vanille Fatale and Patchouli Absolut. I my opinion the Tom Ford summer type fragrances are underrated. For example Mandarino di Amalfi Acqua or Neroli Portofino Acqua are really fresh und verry nice in the summertime. Greetings from germany
If I were to only use perfume from one perfume house it would be Tom Ford. Although many share similarities, I love that unique signature. I prefer unisex perfumes and contra to mass-appealing fragrance TH-camrs (i.e. Jeremy Fragrance), most if not all men I know and those who have complimented me on my fragrance, love unisex fragrance on women. It screams confidence and sensuality 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 My 5 fave TF scents: - White suede - Noir de Noir - Santal blush - Neroli portofino - Tuscan leather
I’m right there with you - 100% prefer unisex fragrances for women. For men I find the designer scents to be quite nice but for women they’re mostly too sweet and lack character
I’ll be getting Jasmin Rouge, I’m very intrigued about it. It was always on my list but I’ve no idea what’s been holding me back getting it, especially I did test it on my skin and I know it’s good. Lost Cherry isn’t so bad comparing it with other latest releases. I normally layer it with Dior Addict and the combo gives very similar Dior Midnight Poison vibe.
@Jen Chin like I mentioned in my comment I haven’t owned a bottle to use it so often but the few times I sprayed it at the counter it was alright, lasted for hours. Now I’m not gonna lie it’s not as potent as other TF private collection perfumes like Shanghai Lily for example, that one never leaves your skin. But the longevity is definitely better than the Lost Cherry which I own and I really wish wasn’t a skin scent after an hour or two. Hope that helps
A great review as always ! I only have 3 frags from Tom Ford . . . Black Orchid, Noir Extreme and White Patchouli from the Signature line. Thanks for sharing . . . have a wonderful day ! ;D
I was about to ask what people who dislike Tom Ford Rose Prick really want in a perfume. I honestly don't even know which I prefer between Rose Prick and Delina because both are amazing. @@mwate8764 I don’t think it’s about the fact that is disliked, it’s more of the fact that latest fragrances from TF private collection are watered down a lot comparing with old releases from 5-6 years ago, so people are not considering them as great as they used to be, especially for the price they pay.
My favourite Tom Ford Private Blends are Plum Japonais and Amber Absolute, sadly both discontinued. I also love Fucking Fabulous, I have to disagree with you on it though, I wear it everyday!
Greetings from Canada, I watched the tail end of your Q&A, nice to know you enjoyed your time in Canada. I made my first Tom Ford purchase (Grey Vetiver). Would buying Oud Wood be redundant, would I be better off going Tabasco Vanille or something else?

Loved the video 💗Thank you Josephine. I have Tobacco Vanilla and love it. Just ordered White Patchouli on a blind buy. Can you recommend a Tom Ford every day fragrance for a woman? Hated Black Orchid on me.
Soleil blanc was so amazing I love this fragrance so much I bought it for my girlfriend as a gift I love oud wood I bought both I agree with you there worth the price tag
I have the fucking fabulous and honestly it’s a fragrance that blew my mind, it’s amazing the scent is just something else I can’t even explain how the smell is. It’s very pricey but worth it, if you can afford it, get it.
Jasmin Rouge smells to me like someone trying to hide sweat smell with perfume, nothing clean there. On the other hand, Lost Cherry is an absolute bombshell perfume, it's complex, sophisticated (do not be fooled by that playful ouverture) and gives nod to one of the most iconic perfumes of the 90s: Féminité du bois. I've worn this latter for years and instantly recognized similarities when smelling Lost Cherry. Soleil Blanc is nice, but Carnal flower was there before
Merci d'avance. Je suis addict à vos vidéos.

Hi Josephine, I recently bought my first sample of Oud Wood and I can see what the hype is all about! What a beautiful scent. Also Tuscan leather is very special to me because it reminds me of my trip to Peru; Tuscan leather is Latin America in a bottle. By the way, am I right in thinking that you are French Canadian? All the best, Tom..
Recently stumbled into your channel and so I glad I did! I love TF. I own White SuedeI (that was my gateway “drug” 😂), Lavander Extreme (impulse purchase, the jury is still out on that one) and Lost Cherry ☹️ agree , recent releases don’t hold a candle to the older ones. I bought Lost Cherry but never wear it , and I am going to sell it. Oud Wood is one of my favorites, and even though I am a woman, I pull it off just fine. In fact, it’s one of the very few scents I get compliments on. Question. So I do love Tuscan Leather and it’s next on my list to buy, but I have watched your review on Fragrance du Bois and the way you were talking about Milano made me think that perhaps they are too close to own both? How would you compare/ contrast the two? I don’t want to own more than 1 leather scent, that’s plenty for me. Many say TL has a raspberry note , but I don’t get it 😢 to me it’s just a very smooth refined leather, like an expensive leather glove. Also, how does TF Santal Blush compare to FdB Santal Complet in your opinion? I just ordered a bottle of SB and almost regret not waiting for my FdB samples 😓
I watch ur video, very nice, il love oud wood and want to purchase bt confused what is private blend? means. Private blend expensive no matter bt perfume performance should awasome. Pls guide me would i purchase oud wood from private blend or common tom ford brand.
Yes, initially I really enjoyed Tobacco Vanille until I tried PDM Herod which is far superior in my opinion. Fragrance is so subjective but the vanilla in Herod is more in the background as opposed to Tobacco.Vanille where it is more forward. There are some other differences too but I much prefer fragrances where the vanilla note isn’t quite so dominant.
Regardless of the private blend line, Tom Ford is still a designer because he designs shoes, clothes etc. A niche fragrance house specialises only in perfumery/fragrance.
I love Tom Ford lost cherry but find it’s projection and sillage weak, though I adore how it smells when I bring my wrist to my face. Do you have any suggestions about similar perfumes within stronger sillage and projection? I found plum japonais by TF to have very good projection.
I find it to be more feminine than masculine because of a exotic floral element and creaminess of coconut but ultimately you need to try it on your skin and if you like it, go for it!
You are the best fragrance specialist I've ever heard talking! So eloquent, expressive, articulate, fluent, well spoken, graceful and professional! I really enjoyed your presentation from the first second to the last.

Also, how does TF Santal Blush compare to FdB Santal Complet in your opinion? I just ordered a bottle of SB and almost regret not waiting for my FdB samples 😓
I love Tom ford oud wood❤
I enjoy Sole de Positano Acqua right now it gives me the best of Mandarino Amalfi and Neroli Portofino. It is perfect. I also enjoy Fougere D’Argent.
Thanks for sharing!
Great Tom Ford list Josephine!!! Love your content 👍
Thank you Michael!
I enjoy Plum Japonais.
Is there any fragance from the provate blend that you would recommend for everyday?
I watch ur video, very nice, il love oud wood and want to purchase bt confused what is private blend? means. Private blend expensive no matter bt perfume performance should awasome. Pls guide me would i purchase oud wood from private blend or common tom ford brand.
Tom Ford Fablous is better for summer or winter
I have T leather, oud wood ,tobacco Vanille, tobacco oud & F fabulous
I love all except F fabulous
That’s a nice collection!
Recently l add noir de noir to my TF collection it's beautiful too
My TF favorites are
Soleil Blanc
Mandarino di Amalfi
Santal Blush
Love them all, wear them all, wonderful list
bois marocain is as tobacco oud but just few spiced
Lovely recommendations, I’ve picked out my top unisex fragrances from Tom Ford
For me the best Tom Ford for Man is Ebene, For woman Rose prick and Unisex Tabacco Vanilla.
I am surprised you don’t like Tobacco Vanille. It’s so addictive
I didn't say I didn't like it... just not amongst my top top favs
Loved the video and the recommendations too!
It’s a tricky one. Comme des Garçons is also a designer but is often considered niche... different ways of seeing things
Can women wear Oud Wood? My male friend has it and I love it so much.
Absolutely! Wear what makes you happy and feel good 😊
Where can I find the lower third your using for each fragrance, I’d like to use that style in my own videos
I find fcking fabulous more of an masculine unisex kinda fragrance, maybe because of the almond and the leather undertone
I love Tom Ford lost cherry but find it’s projection and sillage weak, though I adore how it smells when I bring my wrist to my face.
Do you have any suggestions about similar perfumes within stronger sillage and projection? I found plum japonais by TF to have very good projection.
try Féminité du bois by Serge Lutens
I'm from India how long projection tabacoo oud
i own eau de soleil blanc ... i wonder how similar is from the perfume version... i found is so close to skin...
It’s a lighter fresher take but not massively different
I only have a big big bottle of oud wood 😊
Love this video 🤩
Hi. U are doing a great job. Would u like to recommend soleil blanc to men? Or is it rather a womens frag? Best wishes from Hungary.
I find it to be more feminine than masculine because of a exotic floral element and creaminess of coconut but ultimately you need to try it on your skin and if you like it, go for it!
My best TF ares :
Tuscan leather but i have rasasi yukawam
Noir extreme
