Hey Cogito I'm a big fan your works. I want to give constructive criticism. I think you need to change how you narrate videos. The narration was definitely hard to listen to since you kept pausing and emphasized the weirdest syllables. I think a more natural approach would have a worked a lot better and you also need to enunciate better. It was also too slow I would appreciate if you gave better context for the action at hand (like what was India's political situation, who were the nobles and why did they choose Ashoka instead of the original heir). Again I really enjoy your work and I have watched every video by you so don't take this personally.
Thanks for this comment. I really appreciate you taking the time to write this and I love constructive criticism. I'm trying to work on the narration as I know it is probably the weakest part of the channel right now. So thanks for powering through while I figure that out :D I'll keep the context thing in mind for the next episode too. Again thanks for taking the time and for being such a loyal subscriber :)
I'm not sure I agree or disagree with most of this comment, my thought is that context is hard... Condensing so much history into a short vid isn't easy in itself, I love context, the more the better, but it takes time to accurately give proper context, again, I like long videos myself, but they won't fly on YT... 10 minutes is pushing it for most viewers, 15 max... Even if what I say is completely wrong, its still going to take more time for an uploader to research and create, which just doesn't make sense for a content creater
I thought you were doing good with the previous style, I know it was criticised a lot on the Kings and Generals channel, but I think that's just cause they weren't used to it and were expecting the regular K&G style. No matter which way you do it you'll always get some criticism, make sure you're happy with it yourself whatever way you do it. I agree with the previous comment that the narration was very slow, but I think your annunciation is perfect, I definitely wouldn't change that. Also thanks for posting the sources, so many channels don't and it really undermines their claim to be spreading accurate knowledge e.g. Crash Course and Extra Credits

Regarding Bindusara, the mother died during childbirth and bindusara means one with a spot on his head. The poison had reached the womb but could not affect the baby leaving just a spot on its head a birthmark of sorts. Bindusara exiled Chanakya as a result of his mother's death later. However he had to recall him once herealized how valuable Chanakya's counsel was.

- Cogito - tell ya what ... I just watched your newest release on k&g... Maybe I'm biased, I've been asking them for months to cover the new world ... And may be positively biased towards you now as well... But that was hands down my favorite upload on that channel!
No joke, I can't wait for more, I'm so glad they're sticking with you, At least for the episodes they mentioned, hopefully more.
I hope whatever deal you have with them works out for everyone.
At any rate, my statement is that I would have liked that episode to be much longer... Its the info I like, not the graphics (so nice to have them upload without so much goofy footage from games).
Maybe expanding on Mesoamerican culture would work for this channel.
Its not well covered on other channels and you seem pretty knowledgeable on the subject.
Food for thought, but seriously, that was great work!
I am indian. I saw your episode ashoka. Very nice your performance
very nice very nice
Love it!
Thanks for watching :D
INCREDIBLE VIDEO
Thank you very much :D
Studying and knowing about our history with the cartoon video is really fun and exciting to watch and easy to learn , keep making and keep growing , we need more such videos on history
india history is creepy, shocking, amazing, smart, adventures, action pased and deep
that was fascinating!beautiful use of animation.
Very well made video but plz make them more often
Thanks, I will be making them more often now :D
- Cogito - Happy to here that
Could you please do a small episode about you. I absolutely love your videos. With tons of adoration from America.
Great video. Small advice - don't ever refer Romilla Thappar for history as source. Here observations are overtly biased.
No, we didn't miss the AOE2 unit training sound effect when you said "soldiers were readied".
The greatest emperor ever born on this planet.....
Greatest Ashoka
Man read history about Alexander then talk .
Btw I am an Indian !
@@Godeeznuts bro the greatest conquest is not of might, but of right.
@@Godeeznuts the history of Alexander was only written by Greeks and some believe that he actually lost the war against porus and badly wounded and his horse also died in that war and due to pressure from his soldiers he had to back down and the Greek Historians re written the story in their favour
Thank u for this informative video❤

The 2001 Bollywood film Aśoka is mostly masala. But it's a fun watch! Also, there's an Indian brand of frozen vegetarian food called Ashoka. Their butter naan are more addictive than crack!
Great job
Thank you :D
Awesome video... 👍👍👍

you got new sub! great stuff!
Awsome research ... I am also a Hindu
bro you mished an intresting but small event where when after braking the fortress and finding most men dead , when ashoka declared his accent to the throne and had made a declaration to give anyhting they ask for to the 1st few people coming to the cort in celebration of his conquest, there an old woman went crying ans asked to return the life of her son and on being denied she went along the lines of "what great and glorious emporor, when you cant return my son why did you take him". this thing made king ashoka go in deep thought .
I highly appreciate the age of empire sounds sprinkled throughout the video.
thank so much for this great video
Thank you for the video
where's the second part of the video?
You should make a video on chanakya too.. he was a great figure
chandragupta-jain
bindusar-hindu
ashoka-buddhist
no more word s
Regarding Bindusara, the mother died during childbirth and bindusara means one with a spot on his head. The poison had reached the womb but could not affect the baby leaving just a spot on its head a birthmark of sorts.
Bindusara exiled Chanakya as a result of his mother's death later. However he had to recall him once herealized how valuable Chanakya's counsel was.
Indeed he was the great. After lord rama, krishna it's ashoka in terms of bravery, warfare skills
Many more but were hidden history
There was many kings but the title of samrath is given to only one mahan samrath ashoke
Bro I love your accent it's like getting a history lesson from Conor McGregor
You know what's more contradictory than a return apology?
A choker bloodsoaked
Addicted to the accent💗
Ashoka took Acharya Chanakyas concept to another level.
Btw He was everything but pacifist
Very good teaching by you
Ashoka’s legacy lingers on.
What was the ladies’ favorite thing back the day of that king? It’s called “Ashoka”
Its paTAliputra, not paliputra. But great content otherwise, love it!
Dude u forget ...king porus defeated Alexander and Chandrgupta defeated selucus
And Ashok area reach Iran persia ok...
So complete ur knowledge and video
It is actually not clear what happened between 272BC and 269BC because there are some Buddist books of Tibet region which says he killed his 6 brothers and Diposavm (Sri Lankan Buddist text ) says he killed 99 brothers. But sure as hell there was 4 solid years gap between bindusara death and ashoka coronation implying some struggle did exist.
Proud to be a Kalingan 💪🏻
You got the map wrong about Chandra gupta Maurya it was under Ashoka's rule the whole of India was established, Akhand Bharat
When did ashoka die
There is no words to describe the bravery of Samrat Ashoka.
But by the passes of time the Indian priest intentionally change the history and add bad qualities into ashoka
Was Ashoka Tano named after him?
I am watching this from Kalinga Odisha India 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🙏
04:07 hehe nice one
