Thank you, I especially liked the tip of breaking up the flake food. I met a guy in line at the pet store and said that he used to have a lot of tanks (he was a breeder) and said that the fry will eat just about anything (fish food wise) 👍
Nice vid, but my fry's keep dying, i pick a few everyday. I did have a nitrite issue a few days ago but it's solved now. Took bio media from one of my other tanks. I keep temperature at 26c, feed 3-4 times a day and water change every 2 day. Lost all my maingano frys now, picked the last to today. :( Golden didn't loose anyone and allt of aulonocara also die. And i can't figure out why. Could be delayed health issues due to nitrite tho. It's my only explanation.
Hi Jesper, it could be - it’s only water & feeding. When I have a problem it’s normally down to one of them. I’ve just lost a batch of nanolatus because I wasn’t feeding often enough, just hoping the parents have another spawn soon.

Great tips that Bill 👍💯
Excellant work bill, I can’t find fenestratus here in the u.s. for the life of me.
is the water heater important for the fish growth?
Hi, temperature does have a bearing, but so does food & water changes. The more food, more water changes.
What temperature do you have the heater set on? thx
All the tanks are currently set at 78f
@@BillsCichlidRoom thx , mine was on 83 maybe thats why they are dying.
@@c00l0ne mine are set at 80 to 82 and do fine
How often you do water change during baby fry age?
Hi Aries, as often as possible, at least 50% 2-3 times a week. This is due to heavy feeding of 3 - 4 times a day.
