      Does the fry belong to apitogramma or Ramirez?

    • @AquascapingCube
      @AquascapingCube  ปีที่แล้ว

      No. Those are angelfish - so technically cichlids, but no apistos.

      @@AquascapingCube i can not differentiate babies of different cichlids that well since they all look similar in the first bits of their lives

      @@MARKET_GARDNERI True :) I breed like 15 different types. And during first 3-4 days, there is no way to tell the difference :)

    I had no clue what the eggs were, but I can't wait for an update video, and again excellent starter info I could have done with this about 2 months ago, I managed to raise a few babies but next time with all this extra info I am sure we will have much more success. Thanks so much matt, have a fabulous day :)

      They will. Just feed them a lot, combination of live and flakes and granulated food. Preferably with lots of protein. Bbs is also good. Good luck!

    Sir how long i can keep eggs in m blue??? My anglefish wigglers die after hatching... i m not sure why maybe the m blue is killing them please guide.

    • @AquascapingCube
      @AquascapingCube  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No longer than 2 days. MB can kill your fry with no problem. So you should not put to much and after they are hatched it should be already gone.

    I went to say goodnight to my fish, I noticed throughout the day lots of white foam on top.
    Then as I was about to feed for the night I saw hundreds of little baby fish.
    I have blue gourami x 2 and one pearl gourami.
    I immediately took the fish out of the tank and put back in their old tank.. (the fish they used to eat are larger now.. ) I turned off the filter..
    I have checked this morning. They are still swimming I stirred bottom of tank to release micro organisms and whatever else there may be in there..
    Do I need to do anything else. I turned heater to 24.5 c
    I have had fish for over 50 years. This is very exciting..

      Congrats!
      What I would do is start to work on some live foods like BBS. If you can't do this - start feeding with very small amounts of boiled egg yolk (try to make kind of milk out of it). You can also crush you flakes food into powder and use this as an alternative. But it really needs to be tiny - almost like flour. Don't use to much! Just VERY small amounts few times a day.
      And make small water changes, also small not to put them in shock. But keeping water clean is super important right now. First few days are critical and every day will make them stronger.
      Good luck!

    Thankyou for getting back to me.
    Well, I have put a sock over the filter and I have filled the overflow reservoir with plants so as to soften the flow into tank.. it was quite full on.
    I have crushed with a spoon flakes into a very, very fine powder and dispersed small amounts into tank.
    They are swimming and appear quite happy.
    They are in a 130 ltr tank so I’ll not do a water change just yet. I hope this is ok?
    Would love to be able to send you a small video?

    Hi good evening, i have baby fry angel fish, and they seem to be moving around in clumps as though what's holding them together is weblike. Will that eventually dissolve or go away on it's own or should i be worried 😥

    • @AquascapingCube
      @AquascapingCube  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know what you mean. You can very gently try to detach them by moving water around them. But don't touch the fish, but use small pipette or something similar, and blow gently some water into them. If you don't have one, use small spoon and make some water movement.

    • @lonsp.t3568
      @lonsp.t3568 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AquascapingCube ok thank you. I tried doing the detachment, but it seems to be really caught together, and I'm abit scared to try again as they are sooo tiny and fragile. Will they be able to detach themselves or am I going to lose them 😢

    @reneesnugent3358 ปีที่แล้ว

    Another awesome video! You're the only one to explain with pictures. I thought they were angel fish. I just got a breeder pair . Can I use a large breeder box box? Do you put them in right after hatching. What size container do you use if I should not use breeder tank ? And how do you attach your tub to aquarium?

    • @AquascapingCube
      @AquascapingCube  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. Yes, you can use breeder box. I put them BEFORE they hatch, so they are hatching already in the box. To attach it use large plastic clip and my container is about 1L, so not very big.

    • @reneesnugent3358
      @reneesnugent3358 ปีที่แล้ว

      @AquascapingCube , how do you remove them from the breeding cone ? I guess I just put them in a large jar with anti fungal, and then when they start free swimming, transfer to large breeder box? Or any ideas? They normally use the breeding cone. Or should I remove the cone and just leave anubias plant ?Maybe they will lay there . I'm afraid to use a turkey paster cuz I've never used one before.

    • @AquascapingCube

      No, I never use any, especially in tanks with fry. I just use aged tap water (~24-48h)

      @@AquascapingCube do you think distilled water along with water from the original tank they came from is ok?

    • @AquascapingCube
      @AquascapingCube  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@watchinvideos22 You have to be careful with hardness when doing that. Distilled water is very soft and has close to 0 hardness - so it might be a shock to the fry that was kept in water with much higher hardness levels. Even if you mix it with tank water. As long as the jumps in parameters are not big - it should be fine.

    • @watchinvideos22
      @watchinvideos22 ปีที่แล้ว

      @AquascapingCube in the past I had issues with my water being to hard..like a 6 or 7 so I was recommended to start using distilled water to reduce the hardness and now my tank is around a 1 or 2 for hardness. When I do my water changes I use around 7 gals of distilled water and the rest from the house. So it's like 50/50.

    • @watchinvideos22
      @watchinvideos22 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My fry are in a 5.5 gal tank as we speak and when doing the water change I take maybe 20% out and replace with water from the original tank
