Ok so on my 22’ when you take off the connector with all the upfitter wires to plug in the BD plug does that mean I loose access to my upfitter switches???
....who said that was to the up fitter switches......

I think I’ll go the OG SEIC resistor route through the aux switches.
I have had them install one in my 2022. Since I was in Abbotsford I had them install their tract bar. The high idle switch works great.
Always makes me proud to see BD Diesel products featured, I mean the head office for the company is about 15 minutes away from where I live here in Abbotsford BC Canada!

It's absolutely amazing a diesel truck comes without a high idle from the factory. Especially now that these trucks are near 100k.
My high idle BD install from the king himself is getting a workout in the cold weather warm ups ….worth every penny…low rpm idle is a diesel killer. Don’t wet load the cylinders…idle that bad boy up with this kit! Thanks A Rod..with a special mention to Mr Bob Rocco for the education on why it’s important to be idled up

I installed that kit on my 2019 powerstroke. It prevents it from automatically shutting down. Great kit if you have pets.
Can’t you turn off the 30 min max idle? My 21 F150 has an option
It is an on/off option in the settings this isnt needed to prevent auto shutoff as you mentioned. @@ChaseLandMgmt
@@ryanfindlater7299on my super duty you can’t shut that off. There’s an option and still doesn’t work. I even tried forscan to prevent the vehicle from shutting off. The only thing that worked was the bd switch with parking brake on.

An electronic throttle cable. I remember driving an old Ford F-600 petrol which had a throttle cable. No need to put the handbrake on though. A manual cruise control for the adventurous.

Why can’t ford just program their trucks to allow us to use the cruise control like Dodge has? I can’t imagine that being a patented technology.
It probably is just like ford is the only one that has the keypad on the side
or they could add a couple buttons next to the dimmer buttons which would be a prime spot while you're out of the truck

Aaron, great video! I would be curious to do that installation and combining the harnesses/plug so you don’t loose the harness for your stock switches. Great video!

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARodI thought that when you remove the harness prep you removed from the same connector that you control from your up switches. Will watch it again! Keep up with the good stuff!! Best super duty channel on TH-cam

Those looked liked the passthrough wires for the upfitters though. For if you use equipment inside your cab with your upfitter switches.
@happygil78 the pass thru ones are a lil higher up. That bundle is for PTO hook up
I installed the high idle on my 23 it was a good purchase but a pain in the ass to get to the wires
I just put a potentiometer in my truck to control the idle for about $10

Can you test this? Can you turn the idle up, shut the truck off and then remote start the truck. Does the high idle work. If not, it defeats the purpose of having this piece.

My 2020 superduty I used the left mounting screw of the OBD. Might have to move it to the right due to the Banks iDash cable going left

My 06 you just hooked upfitter switch to PTO wire. 1000rpm.
I used to be a Ford senior master but left the Ford dealer after years of working on the Sicko . I don't miss working on them when they were under warranty! Anyways I now work at a GM dealership and have a 2021 f450 to work on for a oil leak on left side of the engine. Is there anything common ? I left Ford in 09 so I have not done anything with the 6.7

i have a new 2023 F250, at 3000 miles (about 3 month ago) my inverter that powers the 110 plugs went out and ford dealer told me they were out of stock nationwide, called last week and they have no idea when they will be back in stock. have you heard anything about this?

I hear that the high idle kit doesn't work when the remote start is activated...only when it is started once the person is inside the cab.
The new trucks dont have that already from factory? My 2017 has it
This feature does not come from the factory on any power stroke
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod it high idles when its cold this kit? Maybe mine has something installed by the previous owner...when its cold it starts up and goes into high idle
I’ve got a 15’ and it idles itself up periodically in cold temps, I think to heat up the exhaust. I’d guess this switch is more for making it stay at high idle to keep the engine warmer then it otherwise would on it’s own.

@joshmarauder that is a factory programmed condition that happens WHEN & only WHEN there is no brake or accel input for more than 120 seconds. There was nothing install by the prevuous owner...
2020, can’t get my high idle to work, truck has a DTC P0850 park neutral switch input circuit… so I’m guessing that cancels out the high idle command? Don’t really know where to check to fix this. Any idea?
Do you know if there’s an update for the gauge cluster losing memory on the 23s? I just brought mine to dealer and they called me and said the cluster is working fine idk what you’re talking about ugh . 3rd ford dealer .

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod the memory issue that everyone is complaining about . Say you want to keep the cluster on “trip1”. You shut off truck and her back in 10 mins later and the cluster. Reverts back to the main menu not trip 1. So you have to scroll through the menu ever time to get back to the screen you want. Then it disappears again when you restart truck

Installed this on 23 6.7 HO. Works great but noticed last night the turbo boost would kick up to 9psi after a few minutes.

Prevent CP4 from destroying your engine NO affiliation.

are you aware of this issue with the 6.7 the high pressure fuel pump Bosch CP4 fails and the metal grindings flow through fuel system of the engine and destroys it right around 150 to 190. Hence the kit.@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod

Your other videos don't show a '24. The plugs are labeled differently than '22 and older.

Harder to open the package than it was to put it in child proof or more idiot proof 😁 automotive engineers must have a grudge against mechanics because everything you need to get to is always in a mess of wires almost impossible to get why are the wire for the antenna so much thicker than wires to everything else for something so stupid
Can you do a video of 23+ trans fill and filter. I can’t find the correct fitting. The manual is super vague and says 12mm fitting
