    Great. I did my NS LATE 70s. Even though it was tough, the training helped me to face tough working life. I now live overseas and had to start life all over but because the military discipline that was instilled in me I was able to face all challenges and have done well for myself.
    I guess it is up to each individual how and what you think of the national service.
    For me I look at is as inexpensive way of learning to become a leader.
    Having said that you get paid while you are learning.
    You go out into private sector and take up a leadership course, imagine what that would cost you financially.
    All I can say is be always positive.
    I enjoyed watching this short show.

    So what if our military is small ? So what if our army manpower is truely and obviously will be outnumbered to any army forces out there ?! If we believe that we can save our country no matter what outcome we have to face with, if we dare to overcome the obstacles that we are challenged with and if we dare to say "I will proudly fight and die honournably for my country!"....with our might, our strength and pride as one we can win any war. Proud to be a Singaporean son !

    • @Ranger629
      @Ranger629 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Faris Othman Sure thing mate and with that I wish you luck. You'll probably get overrun by some other country man tortured and die a horrible death defending a "country" you're so proud of. You're nothing but an ant to them, a small fry so insignificant even if the terrorist/opposition capture you, they will not put in effort in retrieving you. Keep that in mind next time you say you're willing to sacrifice for a country. Will that country be willing to sacrifice back for you?

    • @fxrisxmxli
      @fxrisxmxli 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** If everyone thinks like you you won't be sipping tea anytime soon. Another location ? Seriously ? Instead of fighting back for your country you become a refugee ? lol. You think everyone is kind enough to accept you in ?

    • @Ranger629
      @Ranger629 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Uhh, I'll still be sipping tea. I mean face it, if everyone does the same as me. Then there will be no war right? Are you even sure you went through military services? It seems to me that you're either 3 years old or a major moron. If 1 opposition stop fighting, the other party wins by default. Jesus, I'm teaching war on youtube to some smartass who thinks he knows better.
      tons of countries will be willing to take you in if you're smart enough, the reason why other countries don't want you is because they see you as burden. Get it? Christ, put some effort in life instead of staying on youtube mate.

    • @fxrisxmxli
      @fxrisxmxli 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** So you're saying if it happens a person comes and slaps you or your partner in the face repeatedly you're gonna walk away ? What a liar. Teaching me about war ? You've been to one ? Have you even been in a the military? I don't think so. What do you think your military is for anyways ? Good luck being on the side who only surrenders in a war where people on the other side don't give a damn where they fire. Oh yeah, so if your the type who runs away, surrenders and sips tea on the other side, why are you even replying all my comments ?

      Linda B Singapore is a highly neutral country, so it wouldn't really have to fear invasion. The Army is really for protecting against terrorists, pirates, etc. But if Singapore WAS invaded, the invasion would be hard due to the defense line the singapore army would put up. Singapore has over 900,000 Reservists in the Army it can deploy incase of War and constantly does military drills with foreign allies. Adding to that, Singapore's technology is made for Defense, not offense. I could go on and on about how they could defend themselves incase of Invasion.
