Police can check your ID. When a case is reported, police will check IDs on all the people involved first, standard SOP. IDs of the person who called/report police, ID of the accused/suspect, ID of witnesses. Security guard may not check ID or your belongings, unless they are assigned at the gate or entrance to check, but minimum police officers and up can check. If you don't co-operate, very difficult to make your case valid or proceed with investigation. Simple thing also don't know.
