That’s bloody impressive for a fat lardy Busa. Certainly no disgrace, I wish I could ride my Busa like that. Perhaps those that keep saying the Busa is useless on a track should watch this first before making comment. I guess being honest the Busa isn’t really the main contender against a good rider on the top litre bikes but this video proves you can put on an impressive show on something that on paper just shouldn’t work. I take my hat off to this rider.

Fantastic riding, what have you changed to the suspension? Anything?

@@drewon2s That was what I was wondering. I recently picked up an 06 and had been reading that the steering was quickened with the raising link. Thanks!

Yeah I highly recommend it over the winter I will do ohlins suspension though.

Your riding like that on the stock suspension!! Are you sure you need the Ohlin’s? I’ve watch this video twice and I’m bumswizzeld at the lean angles your getting. Before I bought my gen 3 I’d watched many TH-cam videos many reviewers saying it couldn’t be your only bike if you want to do track days, that’s clearly not the case. It’s fair to say a 200hp ZX10 being so much lighter etc would have a clear advantage but unless you’re trying to seriously compete on a Busa, from what I’ve just watched, a Busa definitely very capable and has the big GRIN factor. I don’t intend to do track days on my Busa I’m just not skilled enough but I enjoyed watching this video.

Yes sir it is stock suspension, and thank you over the winter it will get steel braided lines and suspension bike has worked surprisingly well for me this season. Yeah I’m a strong believer in any bike is capable it’s all about the rider. Just get out there and right as much and it will come. Schnitz raising link has transformed this bike for sure it is taller though.

What's the biggest drawback to the Schnitz Racing links? Is the bike less stable braking and harder to launch? Does it reduce load on the rear tire during cornering?

Personally I haven’t had any issues, never had the issue of the back tire floating on this bike probably mainly due to me still having abs and it still being so heavy. I have probably put close to 1500 miles with it so far and the only thing I can probably say that might be different is there is slight movement (left to right but it’s still stable at high speeds) in the handle bars. But I think is helps a lot gives more ground clearance and I still scrape the lower fairing, but at the low cost they are it’s for sure worth it.
