Glad I’m not the only one,when I bought my 1250 Bandit in 2016,I had never ridden one,and I was going from a Transalp so a little more powerful. David’s new purchase looks very nice,gold wheels look much more premium.👍🏻
The look of a bike does it for me, as it did with David for his GS. Gold wheels are lovely but need more regular TL:C than the black... Would I choose gold again? Yes I would, despite the extra effort.

Never had a problem with the screen on my 3 lowered GS', maybe it's because I sit slightly lower vs the standard bike? Plus I'm 5'7" so not exactly Germanic proportions! I tried the up and back risers but took them off as I ended up sitting slightly more upright, which put more weight down through my spine, plus when I've been in the saddle for some time (i.e. further than my local Starbucks) it's nice to be able to stand up on the pegs to stretch the legs which feels strange with the risers on. Get the bus pass Martin, I did, you never know when you'll need it-I showed it as proof of age when entering a pub in Birmingham last month, much to the door staff's amusement 😅
Ugh - bike looks used now - better go back and trade it in for another new one! Will there be bags in order - I imagine after coming off an RT that storage will be necessary? I couldn’t do without them.

You are lucky, this winter has been mega sh*t on the roads here, but this week we have actually seen some sunshine and dry tarmac!!! ha

David has some panniers and a top box, we need to compare these at some point with my vario panniers/topbox.
