dude, the amount of dedication in these videos is crazy. Have u tried ff2 with wacky modifications? I know its a buggy game and the NES version isnt great, but it would still be fun to watch!
I’m looking forward to the “only knives” challenge. I have this vision of the developers being so proud of themselves for putting in a decent end game weapon for the black wizards (catclaw) only to find out that no one uses it! Have you ever considered a hacked run where every class could use every weapon/armor? I’d love to see how that plays out
Honestly if every class could use every weapon and armor 2 Knights would still be the best choice with 2 casters...either red or black. I would still use all of the same weapons...except maybe use the katana for like 3 seconds.

I might get around to playing FF2 NES one day. I'm not a fan of later versions of the game so I'm not in any kind of rush to play it on NES.

That's a glitch caused by menuing at the same time as going through a door, purely graphical.

I hate the earth cave so much, how do you manage to not lose your m in in there going back and forth multiple times
I mean I play this game nearly everyday. I die in the earth cave a LOT. I just get used to it lol.
A harder challenge would have been 4 black belts.
They have horrible defense and abysmal magic resistance. Late in the game they get murdered easily.
I did a run where I only used 4 black belts with weapons...no punching. It was harder yes, but that has been done.
