Great tutorial! Simple but informative. Just bought a RSX, and it needed a flush and the hoses replaced among other issues. As far as the cooling system is concerned, after the work preformed today with this videos knowledge, everything went smoothly. Thanks again for the info! Keep posting the work you do to your rsx and we’ll keep watching.
In the service manual on my civic is says to remove the drain bolt on the engine block also to drain the coolant from the block. Is this not necessary bc I never see people doing this. I always only see people draining the coolant from the radiator.
Yo man you live around the Kirkland area dude? Based on the newspaper. I live in Renton. I just got an RSX. Nice to see other PNW Asians doing it big in the car scene. You should swing by the Chevron in Kent on Fridays and Sats. Anyway respect, hopefully we can race someday.
Depends if he flushed everything out. If there another of your old one I. Your block and you put prestone yellow they can have a chemical reaction. Can miss up thermostat, clog up, and even gel up in some cases

Thanks man! Always refreshing to see how it’s done! I’ll be doing it soon again this year. 🤙🏽
Yes sirrr!!!!
Perfect timing. About to do this before winter.
Great video and nice tools! Gotta get a pump like that haha!
Why would you turn the car on to then wait for it to get cool lmao.. not necessary
I flushed my coolant without a funnel without spilling things would make me less nervous if I had a funnel on my RSX Type s
Wait why the F did you warm the car up to shut off n wait for it to cool down ??😅
Never used the special funnel. But it's the best way.
What do I do when I do not hear any fans turning on?
Also Great vid

Can you mix coolant? I orginally had blue coolant in my rsx and mechanic put yellow coolant in it making it green. Am I fucked?
He used Prestone
No

The power steering fluid reservoir?!!!
Yes power steering
@@jontibbetts9724 yeah I was commenting like that is the power steering fluid what about it LOL
Also if you start the car the rest of the coolant will go down
Does this fix heater problems
If you're low on coolant
I only came here for 7:20
3 fans? Plz name them cuz I swear there's only two
It's fan coming on three times
It's a 3rd fan for the brake booster... Duh!
Where do you take the fluid to recycle? Thanks!
