A good card with the right landmark or events to motivate emptying card supply piles. Example: Empires Landmark- Tower, where you get 1 point per card from an empty supply pile.
I don't really think Pirate is a consideration on the Possession board. Once the engine player is playing Possession every turn, pirates no longer do anything: "your next turn" is the turn you are possessed.
