Projectiles cause FF, only explosion doesn't. You can check it by putting a flying unit in front of your BFT and see damage

One man long fights get repetitive but a brutal slog between two full armies can be fun (which of course we usually see in SYDB and SYDC)

Hey, I was the one sent the file. And damnn Legend is soo right about sword of khaine, it really cripples you!
I had 4 armies, I needed to recruit 3 more armies, and 6 of my 7 armies had to run around dealing with rebellions everywhere! After I sent the file, I got rid of the sword of khaine, got rid of 3 armies, with legendary upkeep system, my income jumped from 6k to 50k gold per turn. I was gonna go get some traits with Morathi like Nakai, Throt and Wurzak, but my economy and public order problem was so severe, I just headbutted Bretonia and sent the save file :)
first the traits than the sword? Also if you do handle the rebellions that is a lot of slaves.
But yeah public order is an issue
@@cathulionetharn5139 rebellion in slaved cities dramatically reduces the slave count. I am playing the game vanilla in legendary difficulty. So Morathi has a lot of enemies and 1 army to deal with it early game :) . I have no gurantee that Wurzak and others are alive, really not viable :D . Morathi is so great, with couple heroes in army she can be a doomstack without sword so this was really to send in :D
@@edyburkay I think the rule is to have a few cities with all the slaves and others with none but no idea how this checks out on legendary (din't play it on dark elves and not really planning to) and wheter the loss of slaves from rebellions outdoes the gains.

Imho wurzag usually stays alive because orc confederations. I don't think orcs can get wiped before turn 110+ without player interference

Also yes, I had 3 cities with slaves, problem was 1 hexoatl, 2 lothern, 3 ancient city quintex, all were soo far apart, all needed seperate armies, while my main armies kept touring Ulthuan to stop rebellions :) . I got this done by turn 50 and, tbh probably can be done around turn 40s, so I was suffering for 30 turns :D

Ahh thanks! I was wondering myself. So use to just spamming those abilities on CD when in combat that I forget what most of them even do.
Nah, It restores not much. She was always green.

I'd be interested to see Vlad in this scenario. Bet he'd be an amazing candidate for a one-man doomstack. Extreme tankiness, regeneration, causes terror, great melee stats, plenty of armour piercing to kill lords and heroes, plus wind of death to kill infantry.
Isabella would be goid to check out as well since she has much higher defence on foot and is highly mobile on her mount. Vampires can make use of the sword of kaine providing the corruption is high enough as well so no Khaine minus.
VC meta is already 1-man doomstacks. Literally, in the end game, you'll have level 40 lords wandering around by themselves dealing with armies using wind of death.
Aren't the VC are one vampire doomstack as standard?

She's is so fun to use. Can spell cast, can melee, can be a general (via auras). And almost any army (hero goonstacks, shades, hydras) work well with her too.

Morathi is just like Teclis, she is such OP spellcaster and has so many unique skills she doesn't even need the SOK.
Teclis has a larger hitbox, but definetely higher resistances and can heal for a few winds. Morathi has more reliable damaging spell. The only thing they have in common is they are both flying spellcasters
To be fair to Imrik, he was facing a ton of Chaos Warriors and Chosen with great weapons or halberds. So it makes sense that he'd be losing more health
I dunno, knights of the realm and pegasus knights all have non-AP anti-large, and morathi's unarmoured large. Still not a good matchup for 90% of the fight.

Sometimes we get a disaster battle but I really miss disaster campaigns. Legend either doesn't get any good ones or he's just lazy and prefers doing a single battle instead :P
I don't usually comment as your vids are always good. Love the one man doomstack theme but some have been dull, like Sniktch. This one was 30 mins that was just brilliant, surprised at how good she was. Thanks

Also there is a way to cap her physical resistance, but she is not 1 man doomstack then. Without sword of khaine, with Wurzak's trait she can have 75% physical resistance. A master flying above her will have Guardian ability giving her %15 physical resistance capping it :)
But you'd need an item to make them unbreakable otherwise they'd flee due to leadership debuff
@@JB-xl2jc they are not skaven, so they have really high leadership. Since she deals significant damage constantly, she never gets low leadership to break. Like she is really good :) try her out , 1 master, 1 fire sorceress, 1 khanite assasin, 4 man stack
@@edyburkay no I meant if both were flying the flying only debuff will kill the leadership. They're definitely good!
I like that you've decided to limit these to half an hour max. It should hopefully incentivise people to put their submissions up against individual good armies instead of multiple crap ones.

I think you like the pit of shades for the same reason of the dwellers below, the effect is stationary and thus easily controlled. It's much easier to deal its full damage to your intended target. any second a flamestorm is not over a blob is wasted winds of magic.
seeing that almost dead general within reach of Morathi and Legend not giving the attack order to just swoop at her really hurt, that leadership debuff is gold against brettonia!

Except those were Blessed Field Trebuchets. Their whole shtick is that they *don't* inflict friendly fire.

One-Mom Doomstack
I'm loving all these videos lately spamming Pit of Shades. Definitely one of the best sounding and looking spells in the game. I love how the audio drops out for a second before the wailing doom of the poor noobs intensifies.

Taking out the blessed field artillery didnt hurt more than help. That artillery is immune to friendly fire
One of the reasons I think that you're enjoying this game so much, is because you've finally discovered the power of modifier stacking on the campaign side. It's something that's been there since Rome 2 and the modifiers at that game go up to insane levels so when you reach the mid game money isn't an issue, it's the same with Attila the economy in that game is absolutely broken. The thing with Warhammer 2 though is that on the campaign side of things it's quite inferior to Rome 2 and Attila but it has really good battles.

17:30 something important to note is that the trebuchets are blesses trebuchets which cause no friendly fire damage.

I actually tested the damage of overcast with 90 magic resistance. Its 40 hitpoints

@@0786RICARDO I was just joking :) . She can tank so much, every hit almost takes 1 health of her, so 40 health. It is a lot of resistance indeed.
I think at this point solid spell casters on flying mounts are going to be the most optimal one man armys. The only exception is malus because he's basically 2 lords
Morathi is really one of the strongest Lords in the game, she's so goddamn strong in basically any scenario
... Unless she's on foot. If you fight her before she get her pegasus, she is good in melee but doesn't have much that can help her survive, like Aranessa animations or Settra/Sniktch anti-surround abilities.

Hey Legend the way u can explain resistances better is by saying that they increase the effective health pool of lords and heroes example: 75% resistances increases the effective health by 4 times, so if a lord has 10000 HP they now have 40000 effective HP, while 90% resistances gives you a 10 times more effective pool of HP, which means with 10000 HP you effectively have 100000 HP.

You're talking about morathi taking 2.5 times damage when not wielding sword of khaine because of the physical resistance drop. but keep in mind that alot of the damage she takes is missile damage which would still be maxed out without the sword of khaine so it is even less needed
Yeah if she has Heartrender + Dark Sword she'll get extra melee debuffs vs opponents too. And if you're not going sword of Khaine you really don't need to melee as much, so you can trade out the Armour of LIving Death (The Hunger) for Armour of Destiny for an extra 5% physical resistance. You regen slower but your max pool remains the same.

Thnx. I think that line is better for campaign as well, since she is the only army early game 30% up keep helps early, and casualities captured for all armies really boosts economy mid game. I would rather sacrifice 10 melee defence from shades and play carefully and boost my faction.
You're inting your Morathi playthrough even considering Insidious it is one of the weaker unique trees in the game. You want melee attack and defense on shades?! When you can take massive economic and power boosts in 15% casualties factionwide, post battle loot +10%, factionwide magic find, factionwide corruption and oh btw -30% personal upkeep to snowball with a second army? No thanks.
Honestly one of the two trees is usually weaker or very disappointing. Malekith is about the only exception and even then Warleader is clearly better if you look at the numbers until so late in the game that the campaign is over. At least if the AI picks Tyrant you can tell yourself 5% tax rate isn't bad and it's probably too late in the game for Malekith to generate 2+ million gold for you by himself anyway.

Don't worry about it, you actually get 5% ward save for the entire army from Tenacious tree which is IMO better even if your entire army is Shades :)

I don't think they're looking for other units or anything like that. I think the AI just recognizes that they're going to lose that fight badly, so opt out of it when they can. The AI did the same thing to me when I was fighting the Chaos invasion with a Treeman doomstack as Wargrove of Woe.
Foe seeker provides bonus vigor that’s what is happening. As long as you spam it on CD you shouldn’t have vigor issues.

I wonder if Soul Stealer would've been better to use cause there were several times where you could've caught way more units with it.
It would've been really effective against the lords, heroes, and the pegasus knights and it deals good damage to inf.
It deals damage to 1 unit, aka it caps out on damage around 860 total damage. Overcast Pit of Shades at 14 damage per model for 13 seconds completely blows it out of the water. Soul Stealer is for isolated dueling or healing.
The only thing I can think of to get her higher resistance is to trade out the Armor of Living Death for Armor of Destiny which gives an extra +5 physical resistance. You lose the Hunger but if you're not using the Sword of Khaine that's probably less necessary since you'll probably spend less time in melee.

I'm curious if you used power of darkness on her would it have done a really small amount of damage because she has such a high magic resistance, kinda like the miscast thing?
I constantly use it cuz fighting a lot of those battles I want to kill them fast. And honestly, my regen speed always kept me at full health, I dk how much dmg it deals :D

I'm amazed and yet not too surprised Morathi did so fucking well. I'm more amazed at the amount of death Upgraded Pit of Shades did, I only ever normal cast it. Damn though, Morathi being so tanky to begin with just makes that sword good. Still think Malus is better, even without magic he still has that daemon.
There is straight up a frenzy banner for dark elves think that’s better than swiftness.
I love to put a public order building in every of my provinces, because they also provide money or other useful bonus. I cannot think to a faction with bad public order buildings
@Legend they aren't looking for your other troops, they're trying to let the missiles use up their ammo before they engage. Notice how they all pretty much stayed away while you where getting shot, but the second they ran out of ammo, you got surrounded. They broke off a bit when another Archer unit tried to start shooting, but they where mostly out of ammo, and stopped shooting shortly after. The AI is still dumb.
