I guess I don't see the problem with the last video, it's actually one of my favorites. Keep hiking, Buddy.
After watching episode 53, I rewatched 52. Still don't see the problem.
When you are old and grey and watching these, you can skip that one but for all of us, it was just fine!
Thanks for not deleting it.
It's ridiculous to apologize for your last episode. Seeing the tramily was a good time
These videos are so good! I love the shots of prepping food, packing up camp, showing how you do things and what the trail looks like. Of course love the views too! Cheering you and the Tramily on!! 👏👏👏👏
Christine Reber two days after the last trail vid I’m gonna be all like “y’all got anymore of them Frozen videos?”
I absolutely love your videos. Whether you are alone, complaining about the weather, hanging with the tramily, ranting about something, the good, the bad, the ugly, it is all part of YOUR hike. Your experience that we are all privileged to experience with you. If people don’t like it, they do not have to watch. HYOH and your fans will be rooting for you.
Never, ever apologize for any video. It all is interesting, commentary, relationships, scenery, etc.
Couldnt have put it better.
At 14:28 on the video, when you were worried about being off trail, there was a blaze on the tree right behind you on your left. Hah, hah - that has happened to me also.
Frozen I just took the time to go back and rewatch Episode 52 and I saw nothing wrong with it, you had things on you mind and you allowed us to experience your day. You are entirely too critical of yourself and that is not a good attribute. Sorry if that was a little harsh. You are producing extraordinary videos and encourage you to continue to keep it real because 5 years from now you are really going to appreciate it. Take Care Frozen God Bless. As a side note that is an amazing production that Fresh Ground has going for his resupply.
Love this video. So crazy that I'm following you hiking the AT and dreading the last episode.
So awesome! Not sure what you didn’t like in the previous episode. I have enjoyed them all 53 of them! Happy trails!
I live for the notification that another episode is available!
I think so two minutes....that a record
You are a good man, Jason.
I follow a few thru-hiker channels but your videos are by far my favorite! Thankyou for bringing us along on your adventure!
Been following you all the way Frozen. I like your before hike and the hike videos. At 65 years of age you motivate me to give this a try. I love hiking the Smokies and I know I can make this. Keep up the great videos.
I like all your videos. I've watched you grow man from an introvert to an extrovert. Keep hiking. Good stuff.
My 13year old son and I are watching cheering you on. also, you have no need to apologize for the content of previous episodes. I really enjoy the fact that your videos are raw and authentic and that you tell us what is on your mind. I also like how you try to clear up any confusion that your community may have about what you were doing. It's all good keep it coming!
Excellent videos. My husband I enjoy all that you share. We liked the last one so much...we did not see it as garbage at all. You genuinely inspire us. The views and the content are always so enjoyable. Thanks for showing how you roll up the hammock!!! 😊
Really nice to point out the route by the mountain peaks, give a better idea of the distance and scale!
Amazing views! Love all your videos and I think each one has been great! Can't wait for your summit! Your an amazing person!
It’s your hike, your vlog, and ultimately for you! We just appreciate you taking us along for the ride and living the trail vicariously thru you! Enjoy the Whites, you’re prepared for them and we’ll meet the challenge!
First that view at 6:38 fantastic that sky looks like a painting. I wouldn't sweat the last video. What you have given us feels organic opposed to seeming forced. I think on a hike like this it's only natural to start showing more than just the trail all the time.
Smarts Mtn. is a great hike with lots of views on the way up but the natives prefer climbing it in winter using snowshoes and spikes. Most everyone I know does the majority of their hiking of the Greens and Whites in the winter when there are awesome views all of the time- no green tunnels. Come back and hike the area during January to March for some real adventure- 5 layers for the torso, 4 layers for the legs, 3 for the head, and a good pair of snow goggles for the summits (wind and snow blindness). I actually appreciated your last video. I kinda thought your review of VT in the previous blogs was a bit negative, so was pleased that you seemed to start enjoying the hike again in the hills of Pomfret. But then again, why wouldn't you? It is the prettiest stretch of the AT in VT. I'm surprised that you did not film any of the beautiful stone walls in the section between rt.12 and Cloudland Farm Rd. I'm enjoying your videos.
Hey man I have been watching the whole hike and I am impressed with the quality of episodes that you have made on a consistent basis. Great job
I had to go back and watch the previous video. I've no clue what you were talking about. I'm enjoying every damn minute. If all goes well, I'll be out of the hospital by mid January. When I do, I'm planning a 2021 hike somewhere. I Can not thank you enough for your videos.
Good for you man! Keep us updated !
Gorgeous views! All of your videos are great. A good mixture of everything to document YOUR adventure. Many of us are living vicariously through you. Appreciate your effort.
I am literally on the edge of my seat with excitement for the whites. Can not wait for you to see how beautiful they are! Keep trekking!
I watch all of your videos and find something of value in each and every one of them. Your concern for your tramily is fabulous. You are having to deal with lots of things...adventures and bugs and mud and rain, illness and injuries. Carry on. I too, get excited when another episode is available and grow concerned when days go by without a new video!!!!
There was absolutely NOTHING wrong with the last episode!! I loved the moose story and to hear you describe that “nirvana” feeling was awesome. You have THE best channel of the Class of 2019 and I sincerely mean that. I enjoy hearing you respond to comments on the videos as well. Don’t change what you are doing!!😎⚓️
Ty!
Been watching your adventures since the Delaware water gap. That's where I got off in 96 on my thru hike quest. It's great seeing the part of the trail ( mentally and physically) that I never saw. Stay strong and celebrate with your tramily when the journey is complete. On a side note I want to contribute to fresh ground leap frog cafe but for some reason can't find the link. Be careful in the Presidentials. Weather can turn quickly. I've hiked there and have heard some scary stories. Take care.
Darn it I’ve gotten a little behind on your videos. I’ve been out and about myself including a 4 day canoe trip down the Green river in Utah.
You had some awesome views in this one - so beautiful. I am so glad you mentioned the name of that app (Peak Finder) I’ve been racking my brain trying to remember the name of that. There are so many peaks in Utah I can’t keep them all straight. Gonna try and download that this weekend. Keep up the great work, you’re doing awesome and I’m loving watching your adventures on the AT.
Thanks for the great videos. I like to watch these before work. It helps keep it all in perspective! HAVE FUN!
Right when you said you were lost there was a blaze beside your head. I have to worst luck when it comes to staying on trail so know the frustration.
I don’t know how long I can keep watching your videos now that I’m off trail. IM SO JEALOUS!! -Dandelion
Their all good! Can’t wait to see that 5 1/2 day thru the Whites! Fresh Grounds Rocks!!
Like every day in life on or off the trail is different, so should be your videos...... I love them all.
Forward planning, forward thinking and forward walking.... Don't look back, just forward !
Makes for an interestingly dynamic art piece.
Eastern Milksnake. Saw one in southern New Hampshire last weekend.
Love the TOS Star Trek shirt at 16:26!
Episode 52 was a very good video. I enjoy getting a chance to see your hike through your videos.
I didn’t see anything wrong with the episode, I liked seeing how you feel, the real thing, keep being you Frozen, keep on trekking . Love your videos.
Two things. All your videos are excellent and so is Fresh Ground.
It's due to the freshness, Steph F. No one likes ground without freshness.
I totally know you already made your target through the Whites thanks to Fresh Ground 😇 supported trek. I personal don't believe in slack packing since I am a "purist," but there is nothing wrong with supported treks (food and fuel)...many international races do the same for their athletes. Don't beat yourself up about the last vid. It wasn't "crap" and there was a lot of good value. The only thing I would say is that ALL 14 states you trek through on the AT offers something unique...you may not like the "Vermud" but it isn't the state of Vermont's fault. As expressed in a previous vid, every hiker, whether section or thru should learn about the snow melts and how it changes the landscape. Honestly, AT thru-hikers have it easier reaching the summit of Mount Washington than day hikers using Tuckerman Ravine, Lions Head or even Huntington Ravine. I think it is important to keep things in perspective. I also think everyone should learn how to use a compass as a back up to Guthook. Happy trails to you and the tramily and I hope Togs and Lucky can join you soon! ATStrong 🌺
You accomplished so much and I have enjoyed all of the videos!
Awesome! Thank you!
The end is in sight, at this point your 2 weeks from completion. Thank you for bringing us all along on your adventure, it’s been a blast !!!!!
Enjoying watching your vlog, ALL of it. It's a human adventure and it is good to experience the highs and lows with you. Thanks for sharing all of it.
Great job Jason. You have come so far from the guy who took six days to complete the Laurel Highlands. Now you are crushing the AT and living your dream. Enjoy the last few hundred miles of your adventure! Make us Pennsylvanians proud!
I just spent the last few days binge watching your AT videos from day 1. Keep up the awesome videos!
You're probably in the white or through them, I hope you enjoy and take them in, best stretch of the trail hands down. Experience over miles! No need to rush through the sights you will want to go back to in your mind in 6 months.
Love your videos. They are always very informative and love the mountain- view shots. Black flies definitely suck. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Even more proof that Fresh Ground is a great guy!
Awesome to have someone help you guys out... I hope Lucky and Togs get better and can summit with you.. Good luck in the whites
Beautiful episode. Looked like an incredible section.
Do not apologize for content! Jeez! It's your channel- film what you want- talk about whatever you want! It's your hike! hike it!!! Don't worry about it! It's been awesome!
Fresh grounds has to be one of the best people in the world like seriously
You don’t have to apologize for last episode-just you being honest and we get it!!! Love this episode as well!
You guys can take advantage of food at the Huts in the whites as well.
That's so cool that there are still people out there like him. And all the others through your trip. Gob Bless them.🙏
Fresh Grounds is an Amazing Trail Angel. Great video Jason keep on keeping on. Stay healthy you got this.
Enjoy your thoughts.It's your hike...
Beautiful views and FRESH GROUND!!!
No wonder you’re smiling!
You never have to apologize for your choices.
It’s your vlog. Ultimately these videos will be your memories. You capture the ones you want. Always happy to see you and watch you kick butt. Smiles are always a welcome sight. Lol
What’s with the lack of white blazes?!?! I thought one was supposed to be able to see the next one from the current???
Be well brother
Craig
I watch all your videos as they come out. Im there with you through the good and the bad. You got something you need to vent about, do it. Your real supporters will stick with you through katahdin and beyond.
You can do it!!! Now granted you have hiked more in one day than I have in six months so I can't imagine how it feels out there, but everytime you feel wore out, turn South as see how far you've come and then turn North and see how far you have left to go!!!! That should help out in the slumps!! You got this!
Episode 52 was great! Don't be so hard on yourself, Frozen. And definitely don't apologize to us. You have our rapt attention!
I’ve actually thought the last few videos have been some of the best. It’s been interesting to see the change from the beginning to now - how the journey has changed. It’s your hike and film want you want! If anything the last few videos have made me want to get out there even more - 20 miles in the George Washington National Forest tomorrow!
No apologies needed for the last episode. I like that you’re keeping it real. But, i am glad to see the smiles are back! 😊
Have liked all the episodes and feel that they are evolving to be more emersive for the viewer. Fun to get to know the tramily also :)
I didn't notice a problem with the last video either, it's good to have variety in everything you do. You're doing great!
No blazes, no tread, that is scary. Blessing to Guthook.
I really enjoy when you show us a little of your morning or evening routine. Your routine was pretty polished before you started, but is there any part of your routine that you changed since the beginning to how?
All the same stuff
Congratulations on a fantastick beautiful hike, love all your videos and content, all the best.
Honestly, I don’t see the challenge with the last video. If you do, that’s a different discussion. It’s all a part of your journey and experience in the moment. Please continue making your content as YOU feel it should be, not as anyone else dictates. I have loved them all and their all different. Never water yourself down because people can’t handle you at 100 proof. Great job.
at 7.23 be aware here in nh we do have timber rattle snakes
I didn’t have an issue with the last one. I would be curious to know the folks “who have an issue” with one of your videos if they have actually have done a video themselves. I recently did a video for a local trail I use for training. It isn’t easy and has given me a deeper appreciation for what you do. That you are doing on the trail makes all the more impressive. Thanks!
No one had an issue. I was just addressing a comment. I want to show them that depending on when they started it could also be similar.
Great video! I really enjoy you videos and now that in my home state so cool to see places I know and enjoy! Freshground is amazing, glad he helping you all though the Whites!
Thanks for bringing us along! I love your videos. You have been an inspiration, I am slowly buying gear so I can start my AT Hike! Going with a Darien Dream Hammock!
Fresh Ground is the man! Thanks for sharing Frozen!
Awesome content man! Don't beat yourself up i like all your vids! By the way i think thats a milksnake. I see them occationally here in upstate NY too. I have even caught a few over the years and even been bitten by one with a scar to prove it lol seriously though. Non venomous but they will bite you when provoked. Very cool find and that was a pretty big one for sure. I love snakes! The mountains look gorgeous where you are right now. Cant wait to get out myself ughh! Over worked and under paid lol..Stay safe! Hike on!!
Fresh grounds is a good man, as you said a real trail saint!
I think you’ve got the “Trail Madness” and we need to put you down while you still have some dignity!!! 😂😂. The last video was great, as are so many of your video’s (including the Pre-AT hiking vids). You inspired me, and many others to not only expand our horizons and find new trails and adventures, but to also start channels of our own. Keep on Hiking my man, you’re doing great.
I usually follow 3-4 thru hikers a year..Love your journey...well I followed you before the AT ...must say I like you on the trails more then in your living room...😉 FG is amazing! I feel I know him already from all the thru hikers😉 And I know exactly where you was when you came down from MT Cube. (I’m doing the 52wav lists) and I hope it was a clear day when you did Moose...(was my 1st 4k out of the 48’s) I’m giddy with anticipation...them whites are a bitch
Not sure the issue with last video but this is your show so press on with what you want content wise and makes you happy.
I’ve throughly enjoyed your videos and appreciate the effort to make them 👍
Your last video was fine.
It's all part of the hike/journey.
Still enjoying your adventure. 👍👍
It is your hike and your vlog, we will continue to watch.
Thanks for letting us join in.
Hike your own hike, vlog your own vlog.
👍👍
Heck Yeah! "Konami Code" had me laughing.
To greatly reduce bug bite itch, I put a piece
of duct tape on it. This reduces the surface
tension on the skin, the itch goes way down
and usually disappears in minutes.
The wider and stickier the tape, the better.
I use automotive duct tape, it's thinner
and stickier than regular. .I also use it
to bandage wounds cause it doesn't
come off till you take it off
Not unusual when I hike to have 4-6
pieces on my legs, It's a lifesaver at
night, itching doesn't keep me up
and scratching..
Don't be so hard on yourself! I love following your journey. Btw, why must you summit on July 3rd? Why is that so important? Happy hiking😊
That's when Krissy can come up to summit with me. Also a lot of the tramily has friends and family coming.
@@FrozensAdventures perfect! I'm excited for all of you! I'll be summit-ing on the 4th of July :) So maybe I'll bump into you!
Frozen, I love seeing the trail....but it is a trail. We've all been on one. I want to see why I should hike this trail, and all the other stuff is what I want to see. The views, the waterfalls, the hostels, the hotels...and most of all the people you meet. That's what I think we all want to see. I could easily strap on a gopro and record my 20 mile hike, but who wants to see that?
No need to apologize.
What's your take on the Olli Maata trade?
Omg what? I've been out of it since I started my hike.
Dominik Kahun from Chicago for Olli
..think we need more help than that.
Ugh..
Awesome saw your crew on Mt Washington on Freash grounds Facebook page.
You're doing great! Good luck through the Whites.
Bro, just ignore the negativity and do what you do
No apologies necessary for your last video. I thought it was excellent. Not sure why you feel it was sub par. I think it's great how you switch things up a bit and some have more tramily and less about the trail. it's all part of the experience and I am very much enjoying being along for the trip. I will be a little depressed when it's over. Just do what you do man, its all awesome!
keep the way you make this awesome video
No worries Frozen. I hear you about text messages but please don’t be hard on yourself. There’s a lot a people that are with you. Your doing all the hard work. But I’m sure you don’t think of it as work which is great. Keep on doing your thing and I know I’m with you in spirit at least. Thanks for being your true self. ATB
I really, really enjoyed your last video! Nothing at all wrong with it.
I bet there are brook trout in those streams😊
Excited for ya man. 👍 Almost there. Keep in touch when you get back home. Me and the guys will meet up with you somewhere in Robinson for dinner
Hello my hiking friend, happy Tuesday to you. You're capturing some awesome views in today's video. Always the best to you and take time to enjoy the journey. 🤗
Good video. Keep up good work~
My pains have gotten to the point I didn't think I'd ever hike again, hip issues. I started taking CBD oil. Didn't believe it would work but to keep friends quiet I tried it. Pain is gone. I feel 15 years younger. I'm a believer, a natural remedy that actually works better than over the counter. Side note, I need to see if Fresh Ground has a Patreon. account.
Hi, fine, happy video of a hard trail. I rather liked your last vid as well, you remain optimistic in the streaming rain and you explain that it is really you who is doing the hiking... nothing wrong with that imho.
Great job with this video! The red shirt looks good on you. No more blue! 😅
Loaner clothes!
