- This video is a break from my weekley series as the footage was just far too long! In it I look at the speedskim for a non plasters perspective and document what its actually like the first time you use it!

Hi tony use a pole plastic is better
Good video, the camera and to show the flatness of the ceiling shows how good a job you did. I've plastered a few times but will be investing in both a plastic and metal bladed skim to do my ceilings. Always worried about ceilings as my shoulder isn't the best, but seeing how you quickly adapted it gives me confidence 👌
Thanks so much. The video was proper in the moment! I honestly can’t believe how easy it was, even around beads! I was thinking afterwards how good this wood be for bonding too!
Thanks so much for watching!
Great video mate, a plasterer mate of mine doesn't use one of them , he uses a For Sale sign nailed to a piece of batten then walks back and too finishing the ceiling like yourself but without the need for a hop up
Ha ha😂 Yes Tony, I can well believe it! Old school plasters are the best. New school ones don’t mind investing! Straight away knew it’s was just a sign but the aluminium does keep it nice a straight and it’s easy to disassemble. 😂 thanks so much for keeping on watching
Hi mat. I bought the the metal one as I like to tape and joint now and then. Really good bit of kit
I have already decided after watching this back I am going to buy the metal one next skimming job I do. I am guessing I could miss out at least one trowel over the wall/ceiling with it. It’s so effortless and much better results than I thought. What size do you use?
Thankyou mate. This one was proper low fi but is what it is. 😂
I appreciate the effort and thought process of all the work you do, makes me want to get into the workshop even more (to busy on site at the mo)
@@steviecalvert5723 thanks so much for saying. I here you! When I am in there it’s the same battle. What you want to do for the customer vs what is paying the bills! But at least I am in my own space!
It’s all a compromise I guess just got to make the most of it! Thanks so much for watching ❤️
