If on a budget nothing wrong with the China one (though I wouldn’t fancy putting it in my Mega SG, I wouldn’t care in an original Megadrive) one thing to remember, the China ones usually don’t have a bevel, which means they will ware out pretty quick if you repeatedly take them in and out of the console.
Now they refreshing everdrive lineup to compete with MegaSD, for now N64 carts also will get updates. You could test flash card from my country Poland, it is called KrzysioCart IT is made for Famicom (we get only famicolnes on '90 called Pegasus), cart is cheaper than N8, but not as fancy as N8, but also not that bad.

Your comparison side by side is not really accurate as you show only loading time, while ommited the erase time. I compared time of whole process showed on your video. Original one loads from 5:22 to 6:04 so 42 seconds Chinese one loads from 6:35 to 7:39 so 64 second Of course this is the longest times possible, as this is the biggest rom file you can use with this devices. Usally with most games waiting time will be 4x or 2x shorter. But thanks for the video and review. I've got the blue chinese version and it works fine. It will be better if it load files instantly, but for the money it is OK.
I think most people would want to support the original Everdrives but boy are they way too expensive and rarely seem to be in stock anywhere. The China editions are meeting a demand the original creator just can't keep up with.
I saw one of these for £15 the other day, I might well pick it for my friend who has a fair old collection of megadrive...fuck I wished I hadn't sold mine and my mega cd to get a hold of that playstation back in the day 😆 oh hindsight is a bitch 😭😭
I did the same with my Super Nintendo to get the Nintendo 64, still regret it to this day. I learnt from that mistake, I've never traded or sold another console since.
I own a china everdrive from aliexpress and i am happy with it (for that price) sad thing... it can only load max 4megabyte games. But it can run sega cd bios... so i am able to use multi bios for sega cd
is not bat at all because your going to have all the games u want, with the prices rising of cartridges at 100USD and in some cases at 200USD i prefeer this because even an original everdrive is 100USD plus, and you can load the game instantly after it is saved in the chip, what this basically do is, erase the rom from the chip then put the other game u select, but remember if u already loaded a game u can turn off the console and turn it on again and select play game and the game will load instantly
Hello :) , the Chinese V3 version is as fast as the real one. I hope we can get a new Chinese Mega Everdrive, why not even a Mega SD compatible with clones. Let's just hope for now
@@WickedGamerCollector No new version unfortunately, but not as slow as the one in the video (the loading bar doesn't have squares). Aliexpress still doesn't offer an everdrive for instant load, like the mega everdrive x5 or x7. Of course if they sell it, I get it one right away :). I'll let you know if there's something interesting there around for your great channel

this looks like the difference between version 1 and version 3 China has a version 3 for sale now that has the same chips as what you called the brand name
If I have to wait 10 extra seconds to play a game I will go with the clone. I would love to afford a "real" everdrive but they are too expensive. I did buy a real sd2snes so I could play special chip snes games but I have a clone of super nintendo everdrive as well. The real ones are just too expensive.
