Criminal Law Specific Offences II

Section 300, Indian Penal Code provides five exceptions and if the case is brought under any of them, the offender would be liable not for murder but only for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. These exceptions will be explained in this presentation. In addition, the changes made pertaining to the provisions relating to culpable homicide and murder in the new penal law, i.e., the Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita 2023 (which has not yet come into force) will also be explained.
