I don't really have an opinion because I have never owned anything remotely close to this. Remember I am not asking just about the Beacn products but about a broad range of mixers.
I just bought the Wave 3 elgato yesterday after many thoughts during last year and you came up with those videos about beacn today!!!! are you kidding me!!! ;) hahahaha I stil love my wave 3 after 24 hours but wants to change it right now for Beacn setup!!
As a barely affiliated Twitch streamer, this video talked me into purchasing the BEACN Mix to up my production level at an affordable cost. Looking forward to adding it to my production. Thank you for an informative and entertaining video as always!
This came out exactly when I needed it! Spent some much time setting up virtual mixers… but this thing does it all and it has actual knobs! Amazing. Can only imagine infinite use cases when doing some music streams with Instruments.
This is exactly what I'm looking for. I'm glad I watched your Razer Audio Mixer video, which lead me here when you mentioned the Beacn mix. I think I'll be quite happy with this purchase. Thanks!
Picked up a Beacn Mic based on your review and it came in today! Already loving it and now I'm waiting on the Mix Create to get back in stock. Thanks for the great videos bro! Keep it up!
I love the simplicity of this. My only issue is I have a RODE podcaster because I do dual voice over recordings on 2 XLR mics and need to be able to separate out the mic audio. I'm not sure this works with that. This is a step in the right direction for most though.
Yeah that's right where I'm at too. I have a Yamaha mixer when I have a guest on my other channel to record videos. I use Telefunken's M82's bc I have a connect there, 2 mics for the price of 1.
Well, as a pro audio engineer... seeing how advanced the device is on the functions demonstrated here, I don't see why it wouldn't understand that your audio interface (whatever it may be) is sending multiple outputs, and why this device would not be able to recognize those multiple outputs... for instance, in a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), any interface that output multiple channels through USB have all the different output assignable to a different channel. This is a basic feature of any DAW, even Audacity has it... so... I don't think your concern apply here. I'm about 99% sure it will pick up all different outputs from an interface. Also, there is almost never any need to have your guest's voice higher or lower than yours - you set it up with the gain for different people need different signal/noise ration since some speak louder than others, but once that's done, logically, there isn't really any reason to have anyone's voice louder than the other. So in a way, having a knob for the stereo out of your interface is, in my professional opinion, actually much more practical than only two separate knobs, since you don't really have to do a balance between you and your guest... I mean if you or your voice be significantly louder or quieter than your guest's that would be really really weird anyway, right? And besides, if you really need to adjust it on the fly without touching the gain because your guest is suddenly shouting or something, it's like 99.9% sure you can do this with this device :)
@Baz4k But that is expensive when a 2-ch is more cheap than get 2, most cost is the DAC and ADC, the preamp circuit is cheap.I have the same problem on the VoiceMeeter. even having 2 interface (fast-track an u-phoria), that give latency problems because the ASIO just take one, but at least you can use the ASIO Insert from VoiceMeeter to put Minihost Modular to load the VST FX there and use a MIDI controller, then you can separate all the chanels there or mix them.
That looks like an amazing product! I have a blue yeti USB and never took the step of the go xlr because of the xlr issue. I didn't wanted to change my whole audio set up for that. This is really the best option to stay with an USB set up. And if one day I change my mic for and xlr one. I can buy an external audio board that I plug to my PC and voilà. I'm really glad that this product exist :D
Looks really interesting, though I would've preferred if they had an option for these that would include XLR I/O so that those with already existing XLR microphone owners don't have to have several devices connected to the PC. Beacn definitely looks to be a company to look out for, as I would be really surprised if they aren't going to produce accessories for XLR-owners as well in the future. Good video, really informative, and I'm really looking forward for the tutorials! I hope you will show possible ways to use these with XLR microphones as well. :)
I'm so pumped that this keeps studio monitors in mind. That was the main reason I never went with a goXLR. I didn't want 2 interfaces on my desk, but I still wanted a routing table. This solves that problem pretty swiftly.
Great Video Harris. Your explanation of how this works makes me think it might be perfect for my streaming/recording setup. Now I've just got to wait for the Dark version of the create to get back in stock...
The Mix Create is beautiful. It has all of the features I wanted in a hardware mixing device. I especially love it's compact form factor with the ability to switch between channels and keep the ones that matter locked in place! As I was watching this video I kept thinking to myself "It's probably just like all the other hardware mixers with a twist niche" "It needs to be able to be compact and let me control all of my channels without me having to jump into the software to change it up" then come to find out IT DOES EXACTLY THAT! I'm absolutely going to keep an eye on these guys.
I really wish I could figure out a way to mix this into my setup. Right now I've got a 3 PC setup (dedi Gaming, dedi VR, Streaming) and the audio all mixed together on an analog mixer. I would love the routing control this gives, but for this to work I would need to find an audio interface that can take all the inputs and get them into the streaming PC as properly separated channels, and only at that point could I integrate in the Beacn. Having that dynamic audio routing would be heaven tho.
This product is really cool but i cant justify having another interface on my desk....i hope they come out with a version that can do XLR. I'd jump on that in a heart beat.
Alreayd have a GoXlr and SM7B… BUT I was thinking of getting the Sen 800s’s.. So I could run a whole new dac straight to my pc and just use this 👀 hm….
This is actually perfect! I have a USB mic and tbh the goxlr is too expensive for me to afford. I have been struggling with my audio for 2 years now & it seems to be a solution to my problem. Great review! Thanks!
Really sleek and awesome devices, including the new mic as well. I'm new to the XLR gang and if I would have known about these sooner I more than likely would have went with these really cool products instead. if a XLR option comes out, which I don't really see, but if they did, I would totally pick it up. Nice videos btw keep it up 👌
Been waiting to hear opinions on these for a while now. I'm pretty happy with what I have seen and heard so far. Now I just need to wait for stock to be available haha.
This is a game changer for those that have dedicated dac/amp setups. I'm looking forward to getting this to supplement my m-audio 2x2m mice setup, and finally use a separate DAC. Instead of running the output of the audio interface into my headphone amp.
Wow this actually works very similar to my set up currently. I’ve taken my Akai MPK Mini Mk3 Midi Controller and turned it into an audio controller and stream deck mixed into one. Something like this would simplify that a lot.
Incredible product! As a music producer that live streams, I would love to see the Mix Create used in context with an Audio Interface (I.e. Apollo Twin) :)
Same here! It truly seems like the traditional audio interface is shifting in a new direction and I’m here for it. Anything to make streaming music production/live recording cohesive without a bunch of cables.
This seems exactly like the product I need . I produce music and have a high end audio interface. I also like to stream and intend to stream more. This bridges the gap , being able to control all audio with physical knobs and buttons whilst still using my current audio interface
The audio in this video resonates with the heating vent in my bedroom. It makes it sound like there’s something blowing through the vent whenever the video is playing.
Nice! I was just looking at the prices of the GoXLR because I want to get rid of VoiceMeeter and the GoXLR is just too much $$$. The mini doesn't have enough channels, although I guess I could somehow get around that. But this looks perfect. This will work great with USB wireless Headphones too. Simple plug and play stuff and all connected with one USB type C cable.
Actually this sounds great for music streamers that might already be using a high end USB interface with all their I/O but just want something to control their most critical sources with physical faders.
Studying the same thing in school as you did and being a shoutcaster for the past 2 years. This is legitimately insane. These mixers and the mic seem outstanding. At this stage it all just comes down to preference. Are you a knob junkie who likes having physical control of everything and pays the extra 200 to have them motorized (🙋♂️guilty) or are you a streamer who just wants simplistic layouts with premium features. The provate broadcasting industry is fixing to get EXTREMELY exciting
As someone who bought a bunch of USB devices to start streaming and making videos (including a capture card for my ps5), this appeals to me immensely since I'd at least need a new mic if I got a go XLR
Sick intro! Really curious to see how these work if you DO already own a GoXLR+SM7B...but also wondering how it interfaces with console capture. On PS4 I was able to configure my audio setup so I could use my PC mic for party chat, but lost this ability when PS5 dropped optical audio. THATS the solution I need.
@@MyrrhsArcade yehhh. I think it was limited to 60hz throughput or something though. Last year there weren’t any 4K/120+HDR passthrough options that I found
@@greybeard4034 I THINK that would work, but then I’d also have to route audio BACK to the TV as well. Initially I had a console on my desk for video capture and being able to route my mic audio BACK into it. For display it hooked up to a second input on my monitor. I can replicate the video capture, and PROBABLY the audio input, I just can’t do it with maximized capabilities.
Re: BEACN Mix: Take the Windows "App volume and device preferences" dialog and move it to some knobs that sit on your desk. I'd like this! In fact, I was one of the "70 to 80% of GoXLR users" who didn't take advantage of all it could do (or have the need to ... which is why I sold it.) I'm part of the target consumer group here. $150, though? I'd have a hard time justifying that purchase, at least while there are other things to throw disposable income at that would add more value/function.
I have a PC Panel... you should check that out. It might be what you need and its fairly cheap. However, communication on their end is a little bad? I was lucky enough to get mine apparently. But take a look at it.
I didn't find this to be all that mind blowing, but I really appreciate the info. The GoXLR is great for what I'm doing, and I actually use the routing table through my Stream Deck to determine if I want people in game to hear my guitar or if it's just for the stream. Very cool! Thanks again boss, keep em comin.
I feel like based on the content you put out on a regular basis, you should have way more subscribers. I mean no disrepect by that either, you and your team ( if you have a team) produce some of the best quality content on the tube.
IMO the more basic Beacn Mix loses alot of value against using something like a Korg Nanokontrol2, which can control 8 sources via faders and 8 sources via knobs for 16 total, (or any other sub-$100 midi controller with faders and knobs) with the Midi-Mixer software. The screen on it is pretty cool tho, but midi-mixer is nice because if you make any knob or fader adjustment it just shows you in the corner of the screen what you are controlling. Would be cool to see you do videos on more budget oriented stream control devices, Harris! Either way, sick intro. Great work.
This looks awesome - I have a PCPanel Mini now - and my main gripe there is the lack of customizable labels for the four channels. I constantly forget which one I have assigned to Discord vs. COD vs. devices.
My honest impression is that I need more than this. Yes, the GoXLR desperately needs a refresh, but this isn't it for me. The audio processing being handled directly on the GoXLR is huge imo, I just wish it had VST support. If BEACN makes a more expensive version of this that adds the XLR input and onboard audio processing, I'm all in.
Honestly for me the lack of it is what makes it so compelling. I have a GoXLR and it's great, but what I miss compared to my old Voicemeeter setup is enough dials/audio software devices. This let's me keep the already amazing GoXLR and just expand it with an equally high quality and nice looking hardware controller.
I think if you add a decent audio interface to the BEACN devices then you have an improved goxlr. But BEACN missed an opportunity to do this by not also releasing an audio interface. Along with these control interfaces. Even a 2 channel interface would have been enough for most people. Instead they released another USB mic no one wants or needs.
@@EthosAtheos i think youre completely wrong here. Usually items such as these arent meant for hardcore enthusiasts. Its more for your average gamer/streamer and the same goes for the USB mic. People dont want to have to buy an interface with an XLR mic etc. so with this you get a small interface on your desk that you dont have to tab out of your stream or game for and a mic that sounds awesome and is just plugnplay. I dont think youre understanding the audience this would be aimed at.
This is interesting. After working with the Wave Link, I was wondering if/when they’d release a physical interface to control your different inputs. This is what I imagined, this software is way more in depth. I’m pleased with the wave:3 and wave link software but my environment is loud, my pc is loud and controlling the gate often causes weird sound issues when using a condenser mic. Might worth checking these things out. It’ll be costly but I like the idea of being able to control all the audio in one interface, instead of using Microsoft’s sound settings and wave link software together.
If it isn't sponsored by them, it would have been rlly nice you mentioned an eazy (or2,3,4,5) options to use an XLR mic without a fancy mixer, but which not bottlenecks a.e. a sn7b. Instead of just giving "their" very expensive (for an USB mic) option. Otherwise i would have already ordered the beacn mix/create, but now i have to go through tonns of Videos to get the Idea myself, almost needing to get an audio pro myself, so i can decide on a optimal wayaround to still use the beacn mix without having a now redundant fancy mixer just to connect a XLR
Honestly this is pretty cool, and I'd love to have more audio control, along with perhaps adding effects and whatnot for everybody involved, but my real issue there... is where would I plug in my mic? I'm either going to have to do what you said and plug in my GoXLR, or granted I could just use the Focusrite Scarlett Solo. My issue there, is idk how good that's going to sound alongside it. I might be willing to get the Mix Create, but I'm gonna need to research more into it to see if it's worth going from the GoXLR Mini (something I've gotten very accustomed to, and might have a hard time switching from), to the Mix Create.
Harris at 7:50 you talk about routing your voice from your stream pc to your in game chat you said idk who would need that. ME I NEED THAT! THATS LITERALLY BEEN MY ONE ISSUE HARRIS I LOVE YOU xD
One feature I'm looking for: output to two places (speaker and headphones) at the same time AND a feature that mutes the speakers when the mic is turned on either through push to speak or through turning up the mic volume from mute
Just ordered the Mix. I currently have a PCPanel Mini which looks like a toy compared to these. Much different price points I know but even at a $100 premium I have no problem at all paying for the upgraded everything these offer in comparison. My biggest gripe with the PCPanel Mini was something so stupidly simple but very important nonetheless and it was the lack of mute indicator on the module itself to let you know when your mic was hot or not. The Mix has exactly that and so much more. Can't wait for it to be delivered in a few days.
I would love to see the option to push the knob to mute to all. While the button is mute to chat. Or vice versa. That way you have both options available to you instead of one or the other. Super stoked to get one!
I don't get it. So it controls volume on your chat, team, game,... Isn't it once it's set. It's set forever? I don't get the use of.these devices.. Can you really control everything while gaming and streaming? Aren't you already busy playing? Not to mention the device to control the video animation etc.. Hmmm 🧐 am I missing something here?
Really love to hear your opinions on this one. Please share below for a cookie.

That Intro was gah dawg on point boi
I feel like based on the content you put out on a regular basis, you should have way more subscribers. I mean no disrepect by that either, you and your team ( if you have a team) produce some of the best quality content on the tube.
its still a pretty small niche on youtube all things considered
he had a huge yt channel with his wife but it got deleted im pretty sure. and yeah its not the most popular type of video watched
Goodness these devices are actually pretty rad. As far as controllers go...these are insane.
This is a game changer. Friggin love this and I want one.
That intro is fucking sick
IMO the more basic Beacn Mix loses alot of value against using something like a Korg Nanokontrol2, which can control 8 sources via faders and 8 sources via knobs for 16 total, (or any other sub-$100 midi controller with faders and knobs) with the Midi-Mixer software. The screen on it is pretty cool tho, but midi-mixer is nice because if you make any knob or fader adjustment it just shows you in the corner of the screen what you are controlling. Would be cool to see you do videos on more budget oriented stream control devices, Harris! Either way, sick intro. Great work.
Yeh that intro is like the best resume for Beacn pitch ;)
That intro was insane wtf
Would this work with Rodecaster Pro? I have been trying to separate the audio in OBS and no luck so far.
This looks awesome - I have a PCPanel Mini now - and my main gripe there is the lack of customizable labels for the four channels. I constantly forget which one I have assigned to Discord vs. COD vs. devices.
I have been waiting for a device like the mix for soo fucking long!!!
This is such a good review. I don’t even need this thing, but I watched it. 😆
My honest impression is that I need more than this. Yes, the GoXLR desperately needs a refresh, but this isn't it for me. The audio processing being handled directly on the GoXLR is huge imo, I just wish it had VST support. If BEACN makes a more expensive version of this that adds the XLR input and onboard audio processing, I'm all in.
you can always buy this product and still use the goxlr you can combine them
Honestly for me the lack of it is what makes it so compelling.
Instead they released another USB mic no one wants or needs.
yeah, well you can workaround with VST support with Equalizer APO, dunno if they plan to add VST support but i get you, out-of-the box would be nice
Well, good thing i was holding off on getting a goxlr! This looks really good!
That intro was EPIC!
Did you guys make that intro omgggggg that looks like an add, like an ad that the company spent weeks making holyyyy cleannnnn
That intro though...
I like how the beacn mix is a pc panel and voicemeeter has a next gen baby or something...
Veruy though look. I'm excited to see it in action. Off to the BEACN Mic review!
bought one love it works great with the beacn mic
Does it cancel microphone echos? can you use it without the beacon mic?
You convinced me when i have saved up enough money i will buy this
AWESOME INTRO
It's a PC panel on mega steroids.
Man where was this six months ago Harris??? I love my PC panel pro, but this looks amazing!
Edits going crazy!
I would love to see the option to push the knob to mute to all. While the button is mute to chat. Or vice versa. That way you have both options available to you instead of one or the other. Super stoked to get one!
looks all super awesome and nice upgrades, but where do i connect now my XLR mich ??
Those are some nice Yamaha studio monitors you got. I have the same set for my DJ set up
I don't get it.
THE INTRO YOOO!!!!
bro that intro was fire
Amazing review, thank you 🤘
That intro! 🔥🔥
