This is the most concise and specific video on the mic I’ve seen so far and I just binged all of them. Fantastic job. I also love the sound profile you got out of it. Most others could just not get it to come close to the RE20 at all. You actually got it to the closest possible to a broadcast sound! I’m buying it based on your settings not the product itself lol

Really loved this, and it's one hell of a selling piece for BEACN.
As a viewer, the only thing that I was really skeptical of (and saw no evidence of) was the claim about it being difficult to clip this mic. I would've loved even just the quickest yell or any other kind of audio spike that would cause other mics to clip.

*Quick Question:* Being a USB Broadcast Dynamic Mic - Is there any latency (meaning a true Zero Latency) to your headset. My headset is not wireless, it is a straight plugin in Hyper X Headphones. I do like to be able to hear myself slightly as it makes for a more natural speaking process, similar to talking on a phone for example. I am hesitant to buy a USB microphone for this reason, I have owned 2 in the past and can't stand not being able to hear my voice slightly in my own ears due to the headphones being slightly noise cancelling.

    • @KickedTripodYT
      @KickedTripodYT 2 ปีที่แล้ว

When they add VST plugins I'll consider it over my Wave XLR/Podmic setup. Both their mic and mixers seem very promising and pretty darn close to what I'm looking for. The mic is a bit high, but considering the onboard processing it seems a fair price... I'll keep my eye on this company for sure.

  • @CreativeExcusesGaming

The biggest flaw (which is not that big) that i see with products like these is there is never multiple headphone support, or 0 latency mic monitoring for multiple people. Most people dont stream with two people, but for those that do like myself, we have to have either pretty jank setups, or use podcasting/studio control booth equipment.
If there was a mix create that had 2 headphone outs, 2 mic ins, 0 latency mic monitoring (so you can hear each other), and 3 sub mixes (audience, headphone 1, headphone 2) then I would snap that up in a heartbeat. That would greatly simplify multi streamer setups, allowing for guests in person to come on stream easily with their own audio mix for their headphones, or for regular duo streams like mine where I and my wife play games taking turns

For me, having an XLR mic and DT 990 Pros both powered by a dedicated sound card, a Mix/Mix Create would replace Voicemeeter?
None of my hardware connections would change, but everything would route through their software instead of VM.
I'd still have to route to my stream PC however, and I see no auxiliary connections to do that, so VM would still serve that solution.
Hmm, it's worth consideration. I've been debating moving away from XLR just for S&Gs anyway, but if VM is still needed to pass audio to stream PC, that reduces the likelihood for me personally.
But, I do love new toys.....

My understanding is that the mix create becomes the “audio device” that connects to OBS, and then all of the individual app volume controls are done via the hardware (so muting discord and not sending that audio to OBS, but still hearing discord in your headphones yourself) I really hope this is the case. Could I use my Shure SM7B with the BEACN Mix Create? Like a XLR to 3.5 or USB cable? Just curious if that would work, I currently have the GOXLR but this BEACN Mix Create is soooo much smaller and ideal. Plus my GOXLR has some weird glitch on the screen where none of the icons are showing up and are distorted. I dislike that I have to pay to ship it in for warranty purposes on a $549.00 product.

How do you have a Rode PSA1+? I've been trying to get it since I heard about it but it's out of stock EVERYWHERE! Love the video, keep up the great work!

So can someone give me some advice? I've just started dabbling into streaming and whatnot but I'm very passionate about it (I've been playing videogames for over 15 years)
I got REALLY nervous when seeing standard mic setups with XLR stuff, mics and mixers and all that jazz (I still don't fully understand it)
However, is this mic really just USB? with all these awesome features too!?
Additionally, I'm 26 with steady job, would this be a good recommendation for a first mic? To me it seems very user friendly and with all the features the price seems well worth it.
Just looking for advice/information, thanks for your comment if you do!

Yes, it is USB only. It seems to be a very solid mic, but I am not sure whether it should be your first choice if you are only just starting to get into streaming or if you should look into something cheaper first. I would recommend considering if this purchase would be worth it for you. If you have plenty of money though, you can't go wrong with this.
