Catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 1 ,i have that on mine,is possible to be the same issue as yours? I need help please..
Yes, it is most likely the cat. The only other culprit could be the o2 sensor. You could check this with an OBDII scanner with live data
Don't forget to put a oil pan underneath the dipstick..you will loose some oil when you pull it out. I learned the hard way..😫
How did you decide which rotor/pad kit to buy from Rock Auto. Why did you pick the Powerstop vs. some of the other brands?
I chose the kits with the heart because they are most often bought. For brakes I tend to stay with Powerstop or Ray Bestos
Just swapped out to a new synchronizer and sensor. Marked everything and new one went in with no problems, lined up perfectly, and in the EXACT same position as old one. Started it up went for a little drive runs and idles perfect. After a restart of the engine we're getting a p0340 code. I clear the code, runs fine no light then shut it down, restart and the code pops up. Any thoughts?
mechanic
I saw another guy take that out without removing the fan
Thats great! I wasn't able to, but the fan is very easy to remove!
I cant seem to locate the sensor on my 98 ford ranger 4.0 v6. Is it in a different position?
My 1995 SL500 (R129) does not have a analog box on your video. How do I clear the CEL on my SL 500
It’s clearing for me (no red light blinking), but my check engine light is still on. The only issue I had was my O2 sensor (which I changed out [5 lights]). I held it for 3 seconds & I get no lights whatsoever. It should give me at least 1 red light, but it didn’t. After 3 seconds, I’ve held it for 8-10 seconds (to clear it). Go back in the car to start it & the check engine light is still on. So I don’t know what to do next. Help? Thanks!
Never mind! The check engine light is off. I went back under the car & just made the wires are straight instead of being twisted & what not. And then I disconnected & reconnected the wire. After that the check engine light didn’t stay on. Thank you for your video!
Can i read them while its running? I get abs light but only after driving a couple meters and then in the next start it doesnt show it till i drive?
Unfortunately this is only for engine codes not abs codes

@@partsandprojects believe me I feel her pain my sh!t breaks down just sitting in the garage. My car is a love hate relationship. I should have dumped my POS years ago BUT I just could not do it. Keep the R129 vids coming for me it is really good content.

You can use the old brake pad, and a “C”clamp to retract the caliper piston too……if you don’t have a special tool.
Easy way to get the rotor off without beating it with hammer, use a 14mm bolt and put it in the hole near the 5 lug bolts and tighten with (cordless drill /socket) or use a ratchet…..it’ll come right off💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Take the power brake fluid cap off before you compress the brake caliper when you are almost done…….👍🏻
To the right of the diagnostic port what is that part called? It’s that grey thing next to the #8 on the right
Nice video. I’m trying to remove an aftermarket radio similar to this from a 2002 ranger and cannot not work out how to get that plastic housing back out. Does yours come with a way to push the tabs in or does your one also seem to lock in solid? I’m about ready to start ripping off the plastic surround but I can’t work out what clips are holding that on either! 😅 any tips or suggestions?
Most aftermarket brackets / radios don't have the little holes exposed that this guy is feeding his tools into for accessing the release mechanism like the stock one does. In fact, lots of aftermarket stereos actually warn that once you push them in, the only way to pop them back out is to remove the trim to get at the little release mechanism. Fortunately for the ranger it's actually really easy. remove the two bolts just above the climate controls holding the plastic trim in place, then carefully shimmy a towel-wrapped flathead under the trim corners and (gently) pop the little clips out. Chris Fix has a video about removing the stock radio this way (without the tool) that shows the process th-cam.com/video/PFUkasQT74Q/w-d-xo.html Once you have the whole unit out like Chris does in the video above, you can use a screwdriver to push in the little pins that lock the stereo in the housing, allowing it to slide out. Good luck!
Mine is a 95 i dont have this is it located in a different place ?
Hi iv got ford capri mk1 3.0 v6 just had head the cylinder heads done decoke and relep Vales and stem I went to pick the car up from work shop they said it ant ready yet but averything has been fitted why his the mechanic starting the engine then tightening head bolts he said run it till gets hot so the gaskets would settle in and then tighten head a gate and he done that for a few days now and said pick the car up on Friday is this a joke need some advice please thanks
I am not sure with their method. I followed the Ford Shop Manual method when it came to tightening the heads.
Do you have to open the break fluid cap to squeeze the break to install the new ones?
No you do not
When you speed-up the video I slowed it down, looks like you didn't put the wear indicator clip onto the new brake pad !!
dont u have to bleed the brake
Only if you open up the system. In this method you do not have to

I have a 1999 3.0 v6 and I’ve heard there’s more than 2 types of the camshaft sensor. I know it’s the part number P0340 but is there more than one type of camshaft sensor?
Did the wiring harness come with the radio or did you have to get it separate
The radio comes with a harness. The second harness to connect to the factory connectors is purchased separately. If you purchase from crutchfield they include both harnesses
What's the recommended service internal for this one brother?
I tend to replace them every 6 years or 60k miles give or take.
Thanks a lot man, appreciate your insights.
@@partsandprojects I didn’t have to replace the original one on my 09 corolla into 150,000 miles started showing some cracks I know I have 320,000 miles on my Corolla and that second one which was OEM is still doing fine. Of course aftermarket belts will not last as long as the original Toyota OEM
Is it the same process for rear brakes?
rear brakes have an electronic parking brake which will need to be reset with a bidirectional scan tool
There’s a way to do it without the scan tool, all you need is a 2 inch wire. Look up the video on how to do it, it’s super easy. Just got done doing all brakes and rotors on my NX
Where or how do you purge it to make sure all the air is out of the system?
Start the car with the cap off to purge air out of the system. Leave cap off until thermostat has open, refill as needed.
hi mr N i love your videos pls give me a shoutout mr n pls you should be like "I love Gracie shes the best student at SDA"

Thank you! Pretty good deal for the price!
Just saved my dad $150!
Amazing!
Would you recommend removing the thermostat and reconnecting everything, adding coolant flush/cleaner to radiator and running for a while to do a good flush of the system?
If you choose to do a coolant flush, after adding it to the radiator you will need to drain the coolant and fill it with new coolant. It is always good to do fluid changes especially if the coolant is old and dirty.
MR N IM YOUR BIGGEST FAN GIVE ME A SHOUTOUT

800 bucks? Nice you just made 12K. Good info I was wondering how it came out as mine is sticking...I sprayed a little contact cleaner in it.....helped a little.
Nice! & Yeah $800! It was a heck of a deal, the guy told me the transmission was going out because there was some gnarly vibration, but it was just the u joints. I replaced those, fixed some other things on the 4Runner but nothing major.
Thanks! I needed a refresher course.
No problem! Glad to help!
where did you get the too for the caliper pistons to retract them?
You can buy them at any parts store, but i prefer the lisle one that you can buy off amazon
How much did the radio cost? & How do you like it?
Everything was $100 from Crutchfield.com & The radio sounds great! Far cleaner than the factory radio
Did you use any anti-seize on the bolts?
Thanx for the much needed information and the code reader codes download
