Didn't you just build a small footprint pc with the 8700G with a white case that had a single slot gpu about two weeks ago. See if it will fit in that one.
A lot of the cheaper ITX cases on aliexpress are single slot half height. They lean cheaper because single slot is less desired. Notably, there is a ~40 dollar case that is an all-plexiglass design that would be a cool micro RGB build (doing that as a project is in my back pocket)
But this is such a bad gpu, it costs more than a 3070 while delivering 3050 performance. It's a ridiculous idea that you want a professional (before known as Quadro) in a gaming pc.
Hey there, thanks for the very nice review of my heatsink! In case anyone is wondering, the card runs pretty hot because the stock fan curve doesn't ramp up the card higher than about 50% ever. While very quiet, you can set a custom curve to get it a bit cooler but it should be good nonetheless. The PTM7950 pad will also get better after a couple of heating cycles.
I am really grateful you are helping the community by selling this design. A number of people want 12GB VRAM in their mini pc and this is a great new way to achieve that with an A2000. Do you know when you will get new stock of these coolers?
These heatsinks are what the sff gpus from nvidia should be. All that volume in the dual slot factory design is just lazy engineering with all thay wasted space. Will be buying an rtx 4000 sff ada when they become available. Insane power in a LP single slot card.
@@candyred3v There is no way to make a fan curve that responds to gpu temperature using the bios fan controls. This means either you have the fan responding to cpu temperature (which is completely illogical for a gpu fan) or you need extra fan control software in your os to control it properly (which adds additional unnecessary bloat)
I love that the end that mounts to the case is left open so the fan can actually blow the heat OUT of the case. It's about time someone designed a low-profile cooler like that. Thanks for the coverage on this.
I really appreciate the fact that they give the exhaust somewhere to go. Just looking at the XFX 6400, or the Arc A310, you can see how they have terrible airflow. Been waiting a while for this to come out and I'm happy to see how well it performs.
@@fabriglas that’s exactly what I have it for. I would second your idea of getting the 12GB model. I couldn’t find it for a good price so I got the cheaper 6GB card. I can run a small model on it and it runs well. The larger models would need 12GB + of VRAM. It draws 130 watts idle - which isn’t great but it’s a lot better than a full server.
If you add a small amount of foam padding around the fan and the mesh sidepanel you can decrease temps another 10-20% with a much lower curve. Ideal for shoving it in a cabinet or desk drawer.
I have the A2000/6GB on my main system. I use it mostly for video calls (with Nvidia Broadcast) and a bit of Adobe Lightroom. It works like a charm. Even a bit of gaming too. I would highly recommend boosting the fan speed as the memory can get pretty hot (100C), usually 10C above the GPU itself. I think this card is the best price/performance you can get right now.

Man, this video came out like a month late. I've been looking for a single-slot solution for my A2000 (+Optiplex 9020) and just spent ~$90 on mods and took an angle grinder to the stock heatsink. This cooler looks like it'll perform better than my "solution" at the same price, so I'll definitely get one. As for overclocking, the A2000 is hard limited to 70W, so you'll hit a power limit before a temp or voltage limit. Any issues shipping it to the USA? Appreciate all of your help on these videos. I'm wondering if you could do the same with the new RTX 4000 Ada. It has inherited the same low profile enclosure from the A2000, but can provide double performance.
My suggestion is to test nvk linux driver and check if steam big picture will be good in a few months.
Linux is changing quickly on nvidia side.
What would be the cons of using a "professional" GPU for gaming instead of a dedicated gaming card?
I'm holding for the A4000 SFF version, to be released. THAT would be the supreme GPU for small form factors.
Oh, so this work with the A4000??? Geez, I should've buyed that... 🤦♂
What is the A4000 equivalent to?
@@garystinten9339 Actually, my mistake: there is a page for the A4000 version in the N3rdware website, but it seems it's the same cooler.
@@garystinten9339 Apparently the a4000 ada lovelace version (not to be confused with the ampere version) is comparable to a 3070, but with more vram (there is a 20gb version). That level of performance seems not that much better than the a4000 ampere, but the ampere predecessor uses significantly more power.
@@rodrigomolinsky The A4000 SFF (Ada generation) has a MSRP of like $1400+
The A4000 SFF is 70W
The A4000 is 150W.. So don't expect to put a A4000 in a mini PC.. You won't be able to provide the extra power it needs.
But does it work with the RTX 2000 Ada? I'm not a bit fan of it being open on the back. Why couldn't a grate be designed in there?
how are you getting those temperatures?????
my pc runs at 80 or 90s playing , same setup
I have an M720q with a G5400T, so the CPU is probably too slow, right? The MS-01 is overkill for "just" a gaming PC. Is there an alternative?
M720 can use last Gen9 Intels, if you patch new Microcode in the BIOS. I use a M910X with a I9-9900T CPU and A2000 ;-)
@@raphaelmuller3295 Thx. How do i patch this, do you haev a download link for a Bios Patch File?
Hey
can you make tests with this setup for stalker2?
That's awesome!
Could you put an RTX 4060 LP in this? Not bothered if it extends the case
Helloo guys, what about the 12GB version? I haven't found any tests with the MS-01 and i9 13900H
No before and after weight comparison?
stock cooler is 180 grams, mine is 300 grams.
Wait, you've run Helldivers II on iGPUs? Would love to see a video on that. My RX6400 struggles with it on low settings.
A2000 vs RX6400 vs T1000: how much faster is the A2000 compared to the other two in a pcie 3 slot?
We need this for the RTX 4060 LP
Was hoping this was a review for the A2000 ADA 16gb, any chance of that coming?
Can someone list me all the low profile GPUs available that are half height
aka fit the tiny/mini/micro pc size
Just ask ChatGPT or similar.
One of the fews LP gpu of the market that's actually is less than 175mm. For instance, RTX 3050 LP is 181mm, so it won't fit in some SFF case.
Eta the new.cooler is just for reduce some.space.inside the minisforum no or for another motives too !?
I want minisforum to make a as small as possible form factor pc that supports a low profile 4060.
the best pc ever
Would this be a good transcoder for a plex server?
whats crazy is I was thinking about how I could 3d print one to possibly shove this in my ms-01 for AI models
Okay so I have my a2000 and its currently giving me device hung issues and every game I play crashes...it's nothing like what we see here in your videos.
What GPU driver do you currently have installed? Not sure if it matters but I got x570i aorus pro wifi motherboard 3700x with 32gb gskill RGB ram...case is a node 202. I'm using Nvidia driver 560.76 and tested 552 and still no luck.
I cannot play any games at all. I'm stressing cos it's my old PC that I rebuilt with new os and it's having issues that weren't known before.. I'm using node 202 sff case which comes with pcie risers but idk if that is the issue or if it's my card.
Would be great if you could forward me your driver version for gpu... I've already updated my BIOS as well and issue persist. Currently reinstall windows AGAIN lol... In hopes it fixes the issue. But I'm lost.
NVIDIA control panel turn off v-sync and turn off power saving
Someone should totally make something like this for the 3050 6g
huh, i kinda want to do this similar thing to my full height 1050ti. still attempting to fix the dead low profile 1050ti
what kind of power block does it have? pushing 140W at the wall during gaming?
Those bombers in COD are ridiculous lol
Can this work in a dell optiplex 3050? The medium size case. Was given that from my job.
