i want one but can they modify the alloy wheel to that of the hybrid which is dual tone?
Compared to the GCR, this feels lacking in fearures. But that Toyota badge carries reliability at tatak subok na talaga. I am still leaning towards the GCR. The Ford Territory looks good too but the Fix Or Repair Daily reputation is what's stopping me from considering it .
It’s so passe. A lot of people are happy with their everests since the production of the current gen for example. And with proper maintenance and upkeep, it should last very long. Go with Territory, it will make you feel you’re getting more for your money. Cross is just too utilitarian.
My cousin is still banging his head for getting the eco sport... And I'm like "I told you." Mechanics with at least 20 years are never wrong about these things. They are the real car experts, not these reviewers.

@Bearing Ph Motoring: What's your take on getting a hybrid? Will it siphon your money on repairs if the time comes? Any exp (or maybe from your friends or research) on how's the upkeep for hybrid vehicles (prius, etc)? Thanks a lot!!
I don't have first hand experience owning a hybrid, but based on my research, the battery packs usually last the life of the car. The cost of maintenance for all other components match the cost of repairs for regular cars.

Hybrids offer significantly better fuel efficiency, but I don't think the gains there are enough to offset the additional premium you pay off the bat. In this case the hybrid costs 365k more than the regular variant. Considering the difference in fuel efficiency and gas prices, it would take 30 years (averaging 12,000kms per year) to offset the cost.
It's worth noting though, the Hybrid offers more features, so we can say some of the premium you initially pay are for the added goodies.

Given its pricing, this will compete with most compact and sub-compact crossovers. But I think its closest competitor would have to be the Ford Territory.
Is this different from the Yaris Cross which is planned to launch nxt yr?

Toyoya is more durable & less expensive parts if change it. Ford? Hell no! Parts & maintance is so & very expensive.if you buy ford & can afford the parts later on then go for ford. But for me toyota is a good choice also for resale value

My thoughts exactly. Within that price range, Coolray and Territory trumps the Corolla Cross tech-wise. China haters out there, you can always choose these Indonesia-made Toyotas like the Wigo, Avanza and Rush which has a lot of defects.
Those are Daihatsu hiding from Toyota badge.

Cause mechanics with at least 20 years experience (who are the real car experts) are always wrong right? Funny how a brand synonymous with durability can be knocked for "Looking cheap." As opposed to other brands/models that looked "Hip" with replacement engines, substandard pistons and gives you loads of problems 8-15 years later.
